"Close to the city within the countryside"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
An excellent hotel. Friendly owners, enormous breakfasts, attentive service and in a lovely location.
"Loved our stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
The Mercure Oak was very conveniently located for Wigan town centre and the room was small bur perfectly formed. The bed was enourmous and incredibly comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly so I couldn't ask for more expecially for such a good price.
"Perfect spot for the marathon"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Overall the hotel was ok. The bed was quite small and the decor was a bit aged but it was clean and service was good. It was the perfect location for visiting Old Trafford and this year's marathon course. We also found the tram (3 min walk) a great way to travel into central Manchester and with a travelcard for the whole weekend of £5, very affordable too.

"Mercure Hotel"
Good clean hotel in central Manchester with affordable rates. Would stay again if rates remain the same.
"Mercure hotel Manchester Piccadilly"
A perfectly adequate hotel which perfectly fulfills the basic requirements. A good price - polite service- well situated to explore Manchester
"mercure hotel"
Being someone who has bright red hair i was impressed with the decor. All the carpets the pictures the ambience was my favourite colour.Cant praise the hotel highly enough.it certainly has the wow factor
"70-s style, convenient for town centre"
Very convenient in the heart of the city, if you brave the traffic to find it. Complimentary car parking for a very reasonable £12 overnight. 70-s style, but refurbed and neat, smallish room but with all necessities.

"Mercere Hotel - a convent location"
The hotel is extremely easy to find from the train station (under a 5 minute walk), the rooms are well appointed and comfortable, perfect for a weekend away break. Although breakfast is charged at £12.99 extra each, we did not opt for this as we thought it was rather expensive! Bar area is comfortable with free wi-fi, if you want to use the Internet […] in your room it costs £4.99 per hour. Overall a reasonably price, centrally located hotel. Would recommend for a weekend break, Buisness or leisure. Read more

"Mercure Manchester"
First allocated a suite on the 14th floor, but the aircon noise from units on the roof was so loud no-one could have slept. Room on the 5th floor was fine except that the internet connection did not work. Restaurant was so cold I had to wear a coat, and service slow. Food fine.
"No longer Ramada"
Ramada Jarvis Piccadilly is now the Mercure Piccadilly. Don't be confused at the door. Great spot, but our room had problems with air conditioning. Bar (though pricey) and breakfast were great. Room was okay but been in better for less money. Hotel is apparently being refurbished by Mercure so may be fantastic by time you get here.
"First Class All The Way"
Firstly, reception was very friendly, and smiled. That for me is everything. Room was clean and suited our needs perfectly, even down to the safe in the room. Would not hesitate in deciding to stay again. I highly recommend this hotel.
"Hotel in Manchester"
Very good location. Room was very good, the only thing is that the beds was weary small and hard. But the location of the hotel is the best. 5 min walk from train station, 5 min walk to a big shopping center.
"Nice staff, small room"
Staff are very friendly and helpful. We weren't able to check-in until 2pm which was very late. The room was much smaller than anticipated, was meant to be a twin single bed but the room was so small meaning they were so close together it might as well have been a double bed.
"Loved my stay at the hotel"
This hotel was fantastic and the staff very nice. The location was so good, Primark and Market Street just around the corner :) Rooms were very nice and a very good king size bed. The restaurant, Arts, was very good and we want to send special thanks to Martin, our very lovely server for the amazing cocktails :D I will definetly go back there if I […] will be that lucky to visit Manchester again.
