The Sandman Hotel staff were all very helpfull and we enjoted the pool area very much. They have a livelly bar wth good prices for the licqure and the food and the service for both were excellent WE both enjoyed are stay and we will be returning very soon. your hotel is in my appinion is a five star hotel.

I stayed at the Sandman on August 26th and found this hotel to be very dirty. The hallways on the main floor were filthy, food and drinks in the hallway and on the stairs. The room I had was in the main hotel; not in the tower. The bathroom sink was not clean and the TV, dresser and light fixtures were covered in dust. If you're a non smoker and wish to stay somewhere you can't smell the stench of cigarettes, this hotel is NOT for you! We stayed in a non smoking room and it smelled as if there was a smoker in the bathroom all night...we hung our swim towels in the bathroom to dry and they smelled of smoke in the morning...the smoke was coming in from the fan in the […] bathroom, and also under the door...it was terrible...the pool also was way too hot, it was like a hot tub. The weather was 35 when we were there, and expected a refreshing dip in the pool, not going to happen, it was like stepping into a hot tub...the housekeeping was also below average. We stayed with 5 of us, and there were only 3 towels, 1 facecloth, and 1 handtowel, and when they restocked the towels they didn't give us any more, and forgot the creamers and sugars for the coffee (we stayed 2 nights), the coffee mugs were not cleaned, or they gave us "clean" ones for the second night, but they were still dirty, so I think they just rinsed them out and put them back, but did a horrible job. The beds were remade for us, but there was a pillow case inside one of the beds, it was just poor quality. We paid for one hour for the kids of the playstation, but the tv was in japanese, and when we called the desk, they said they would change it for us, but never did, so we had to guess at what we were ordering...then we were supposed to get a full hour of playtime for the price we paid, and it only lasted 45 minutes. All little grievances, I know, but added up, they equal a poor quality hotel and services. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends, and I would only give it 2 stars.... Read more

Hotel was to be renovated but rooms in the main section were not. Found them quite small with older beds. Smoking on same floor though, around the corner from our room. The room was very comfortable. Not large, but certainly more than adequate for an overnight stay. It was on the ground floor near an exit which was appreciated. Having a restaurant in the same building was also very nice. We would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the tower and it was quiet. I must say the restaurant that is tied with the hotel was fantastic. We went over very late on the eve of our arrival and they provided great service and the food was amazing!

They are currently renovating some of the rooms which is great. The renovated room I had was very nice. The location is good since its close by restaurants and even grocery stores if you get bored to eat out all the time. Since I had to work I did not get to try the fairly large indoor pool, but it looked very nice.

Decent price, pool, convenient location, friendly front counter staff... but I did have a few problems. 1. When I got to my room, the garbage can in the bathroom had not been changed from the previous guests, and was full of garbage. Gross. I told somebody at the front desk who did not apologize or offer to change it, but simply said "thanks for letting […] us know." 2. A while later, after I realized that nobody was going to change it, I phoned down to front desk and requested that somebody come to change the garbage. This is disgusting - I don't know what it is in there, toilet paper, tampons, used tissue, etc. Again, gross. Somebody from front desk came up to my room to change the garbarge - the same person I had originally told in person about this - and again, no apology was offered. Once again, "thanks for letting us know." This should not be a huge deal, but simply to have somebody say "we apologize for the oversight" would have been sufficient, and when I told them about it in the first place, they should have a) apologized, and b) offered to have somebody remedy the situation right away. I should not have had to phone down to request it be changed. This is just one small issue, but overall my experience was positive, the staff were friendly and helpful, and overall conditions and cleanliness were satisfactory. Thank you. Read more

Hotel is well appointed, looks nice and modern but the awful service and conditions in the room made it less than a pleasurable experience. Little touches like the Air Conditioners being deafeningly loud and useless to cool the room made my whole stay there awful. I'd never stay there again.

overall a good stay. our room faced the pool and jacuzzi which was great. hotel also adjoins a Denny's restaurant which we are fans of anyway. Main downsides are that the hotel is on a very busy main road and the room air con was very noisy.

We arrived earlier than expected into Kelowna. We had called earlier that morning if a early check in was possible and were told to call back closer to when we arrive. We went straight to the hotel and I again asked if it was at all possible for a early check in. It was not possible. I used the public washroom to get ready for the wedding I had at 2:30. When I came back after the ceremony, a young gentleman helped me check in. I didn't mind the hotel. Most of it was great. I didn't ask for a non-smoking room and the front desk didn't ask me my preference. Although I didn't see any ash trays in the room I found it smelled of what I think was stale cigarette smoke. Since I was only there overnight I just put up with it.
