Pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Room has a door that stuck and bathroom looked like it was being remodeled, but the staff were very professional and place was very clean. Room had a mini fridge and a microwave and room did not smell of cigarette smoke (a plus since my wife has allergies). AC unit had no problem keeping the room at a near cryo […] temperature the entire night. Internet was a little spotty as it worked fine on my laptop but had a hard time with it on my tablet. Overall, a positive experience and it's only twenty minutes from Austin and about ten from the Dell Diamond. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Read more

I think the hotel is in a transition stage and is trying to be fixed up but the overall cleanliness of the hotel is horrible. The bathroom in our room had mold in every corner of the shower. I was afraid of even using the bathroom.

This is the worst stay I've had in a long while!! I've stayed in Red Roofs before and realize they're not a top notch hotel. When we arrived in our room, the bed looked half made and slept in. The trash was full of beer bottles and other trash. The hotel was completely booked so we asked for a new set of sheets. They told us they didn't know if they […] had any more sheets. They finally found some half-wet sheets and gave them to us for us to change ourselves! No one came to get the trash either. It wasn't that great, the customer service was awesome. The room looked like it was 80% done with the room. It was still a little dirty from all the fixings. The rooms were small, cluttered and looked like everything was forced in there. Don't go there for the swimming pool since it holds like 12 people. It looked like the hotel was in the middle of a renovation since the hall carpet was unfinished and there were air conditioner units in boxes in the lobby. The room AC was so noisy it was like trying to sleep next to a semi. We had to turn off the AC in the morning just to get some peace and quiet and to hear the TV (yes, it was that bad). I like the […] idea of not having carpet in the rooms but you could see the dirt washing off your feet when you got in the shower. The staff apparently doesn't mop the rooms. Free coffee in the Lobby somewhat made up for the fact there were no coffee makers, irons, ironing boards, etc. If it weren't for a formula 1 race and graduation weekend, we would never have chosen this hotel in the first place and now I know why. The carpet was very dirty. The hotel itself smelled. I didn't feel safe there. The first room we got had a problem with the alarm. The alarm stayed on the whole time we were there and the phone wasn't working, so asked for a different room. The second room we got, the sink pluymbing was on the floor under the sink. Then also in the same room, the window […] wouldn't close all the way. It had a bunch of silicone on it holding it together. So husband went to get a different room. By then, we were late getting to where we needed to go so we ended up staying where we needed to be, so we stayed, the last room was ok. I Had a great room and the front desk personnel's were very nice and polite The room was clean and comfortable. The interstate is right by the hotel but the noise was low just a loud hum of the traffic going by. Plenty of places nearby to eat and to get gasoline next door.

The issue we had was the back door to the hotel was off the frame and stayed that way the entire time we were there even after I called the front desk about it. The baseboards looked like they were being renovated which might have been the reason for a worn/dirty carpet in the hallways. The room was ok but could have smelled a little cleaner. The bed linens were nubby and could have been not so worn. But for one night it was ok.

They were in the middle of renovations, so there was no breakfast, and the room smelled like paint. But it was brand new (the desk attendant told us we were only the second people to be staying in the room), and fairly nice for that. Once the smell of fresh paint wears off, I think these will be very nice rooms.

My stay was the worst experience at a hotel ever and I have stayed at a wide variety of locations all over the world. I checked in to find rotten food in my frig, at night the toilet clogged, their was no one on duty for maintenance and the front desk could not locate a plunger in the entire building. All water was completely cut off when I arrived. Water was turned back on but my room had NO HOT WATER for 24 hours. My last night, the ice machine broke down. All hallways smelled like cigar ashtrays. I paid for 4 nights but was so miserable, I left after the third and cut my trip short.

I almost want to say terrible experience. Water main broke and we woke up one morning without water, they did the only thing they could and did notifiy us and give us half off our room. But they did not tell us the next day that the water heater was broken so on morning two we did not have hot water. We are morning shower takers, to say the least we […] were frustrated. That evening when we called we were told the heater had been fixed but not that it would be the following morning before we had hot water. We were treated rudely by the front desk clerk.
