This hotel is a wonderful place to stay while in Miami, views of the bay and very close (walking distance) to the Coconut Grove downtown area. The pool looks nice (we didn't use it). The rooms are nicely laid out, clean and generally quiet with some through the walls noise. I have used this hotel before and will definitely use it again.

Overall the hotel was great and the location is just a brief walk from beautiful downtown Coconut Grove. We did have an issue at check-in that was handled by the manager when I calmly persisted. They claimed to not have a double room available for us even though I had paid in full through hotels.com in advance. Everything about the hotel was superb. Great pool, decent restaurant, rooms were ok. I think your parking should be included for as long as you are a hotel checked-in guest (just for one car per room). Otherwise it easily adds up to street parking is plenty available and cheaper per day.

The lobby and the room were beautiful. We stayed in a king bed over looking the water. The bathroom was pretty cramped, with no outlets, but the counter was nice. This is a Courtyard in need of "true"renovations. There has been an update, but beneath the new decor and bedding, this is a tired hotel. Too many places to list signs of use and dirt, but the worst of it is the air quality. I venture to guess that the HVAC system is in dire, dire need of a major sanitary cleaning/overhaul as the dust and irritants […] were among the worst I've experienced at any major hotel, and is a true shame. For the business traveler, not the best hotel. They really need to put something on the doors so they don't bang because I heard people shutting their doors at all hours of the night. The hotel itself is very clean and recently renovated. The rooms however were very small. The location is about a $30 cab ride to South Beach and to the airport. If you want the south beach experience stay in south beach. There is a lot of shopping and food there. Next time I stay in Miami I'm going to book closer to south beach and downtown Miami.

This place is a hidden gem. Off the beaten path but on still on Bayshore drive, right across from a great market for drinks, snacks, food. It's awesome here. Quiet hotel, balconies are spacious, rooms are ice cold. We stay here almost everytime we come to Miami, Centrally located, parking is not a rip off like everywhere else in Miami. We booked this hotel for a one night "getaway". I was really pleased that their minimum age to book is 18 since I'm 18 and age is always a factor, so it was a great start. Also, the location couldn't have been any better. We were about a 10-15min walk from CocoWalk. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly especially the valets. The hotel was quaint and a great value compared to some of the other hotels in the area. It was within walking distance to CocoWalk which was a neat place. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. I do wish that there would have been a refrigerator.

My overall rating is based on the medium grades of three of the catagories. While the personnel were all quite friendly it wasn't busy when we arrived so I can't say service would be the same under extremely busy times. While the room was very clean - and newly refurbished - the comode was leaking water onto the floor when flushed. Also the TV reception […] was in and out on several channels, and the one latin TV channel we wanted to see most was not available. Also this is valet parking only and as we were traveling in our car that became an added expense. The surrounding neighborhood is OK but it was a bit far to walk for the Coconut Grove "Cocoa Walk" area. Also the "restaurant" was really only a basics eatery. It has a Starbucks, but only limited items like the restaurant menu. The serve staff was quite friendly and expediant. The room was very smallish and there was no refrigerator as had been advertised. I was expecting a lot better quality of service and accommodations from a Courtyard Marriott. I made our reservations for a regular king n/s room based on the photos from their website. When we checked in we were put in a room that was like a closet with a small window that reminded me of a dorm room. When I called down to complain the customer service […] rep just kept telling me that was the room I reserved through the hotels.com website. Apparently, they don't look kindly upon guests who reserve through a third-party website. When I told her that I reserved the room based on the pictures that were displayed on the Marriott website she said that most of the rooms were like that as it used to be a condo. After some discussion she finally agreed to switch our room to one with a balcony which was a little better but still not what I had expected from a Courtyard. The front desk and cafe service was far from pleasant, they acted like you were bothering them instead of being there to help make your stay better. I will say that the valet service was excellent and the valets were always courteous and eager to assist. However, I will not ever stay there again. Read more
