This hotel was pretty much what the reviews said, i.e. it has faded and needs a facelift, but the rooms are clean and the staff are helpful and it is good value for the price. Not so centrally located but good transport links close by.

The location was great - right off of the metro. The lobby was nice as were the people at the front desk. However, the room was terrible - the bed was incredibly uncomfortable; the pillow very lumpy. And the carpet in both the room and hallway was badly in need of being replaced. I would not stay here again.

The hotel is old and shows it. I don't think the caperts were changed in many years. The restaurant is expensive . $5.25 for a cup of coffee is more then what you pay at the Ritz. Although the service was good and the location is OK for my business trip I would recommend it for a vacation.

if you consider a high-end hotel, consider the palace or ritz instread. Although the other 2 are as old, the customer service and services offered make all the difference. very disappointing!

I stayed in Executive room which give you access to an additional lounge area which also doubles as a separate breakfast area. Soft drinks are freely available from here and the mini bar. The breakfast is more limiting than the main restaurant downstairs but is nice and quiet. The staff were all very helpful and no issues experience during my 5 night […] stay. The hotel is situated about 20 mins (using metro) outside town centre and is generally a quiet area, though never far from a bar or restaurant. I went to watch Real Madrid during my stay and walked back to hotel in about 20mins (2 metro stops away). I never got a chance to use leisure facilities so no comment there. A Metro station is directly outside the hotel. Very convenient for the airport and getting around Madrid. The hotel is a little more tired then the photos show but the excellent staff and service make up for it. The rooms are large and very clean but they could spend some money on new pillows ! The one thing missing is a coffee machine in the room. […] However, room service is very, very quick. We were disappointed that the fitness centre and pool were closed for refurbishing and it was not mentioned during the booking process. The location to the main tourisit area "downtown" is a pretty far walk but possible. The surrounding area is very quite, not much shopping but many little convenience stores if you want to have snacks in your room other then from the costly mini bar. All in all a good experience with the friendliest, most helpful staff we've seen in a long time. Read more

Definitely not a 5 star! Maybe 3 to 4 star! Very very old, this hotel is screaming for a renovation. Did not even have lotion in bathroom. Mini bar had old old chocolates. Rather stay at Intrecontinental around the corner far better or Ritz or Western Palace Hotel. Very very disappointing hotel! Nothing like the pictures on website! Creo que este hotel esta cerca de las zonas comerciales y turisitcas mas importantes, el metro esta casi en la puerta del hotel y las instalaciones las han mejorado, renovando muchas cosas en los ultimos dos años. Si hayas un buen paquete no hya mejor opcion.

Utilizamos solo el hotel para pernocta previa a la salida a otro destino por su excelente ubicación y cercanía al aeropuerto. Hay q destacar q su personal es muy atento y trataron de ofrecer otros servicios (spa y nuevo restaurant) que por el poco tiempo de nuestra estancia era imposible de utilizar.

Deuxième séjour, de courte durée, qui ne nous a pas permis de profiter de tous les services proposés (en particulier, de la piscine). Mais même impression de confort et de tranquillité en plein centre de Madrid.

Seid Jahren bin ich Stammgast dieses Hotels. Wir waren auch diesmal rundherum zufrieden. Das Hotelpersonal ist ausserordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit sowie sehr flexibel. Diesmal hatten wir den Club gebucht, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Als eines der wenigen Hotels in Madrid hat das Miguel Angel einen Pool, den ich taeglich benutzt habe.

La verdad es que un hotel cinco estrellas, como este, pues está batante deteriorado. La habitación asbolutamente escueta, para su precio. Hotel vintage qui ne ressemble pas aux photos du site. On s’attend à un hôtel classe de type ***** on est déçu quand on constat un décor vintage et des matériaux d’époque. Hotel qui à fait son temps et qui n'est plus en phase avec le hôtel d'aujourd-hui.

hace aproximadamente cuatro años me aloje en el Hotel y me parecio muy limpio y muy comodo. En esta ocasion me parecieron descuidadas las habitaciones, y el piso con alfombra con aparien cia de usada y vieja. El desayuno,carece de variedad. la atencion del personal sigue siendo impecable.
