Le Meridian is a good hotel. The location is perfect; the rooms are larger by European standards (simiilar in size to a smaller American hotel room); the staff spoke English (I would say they were direct but not overly friendly or helpful); and the common areas are very nice. My bed was supposed to be a king, but instead it was two twins pushed together […] which made for uncomfortable sleeping. I would stay there again solely for the location. Read more

Air conditioning in our room was not working. We called reception, housekeeping, etc and nobody answered. Had to go down to the front desk and when I told the concierge I've been calling he told me that he was alone and could not answer all calls at one time...Explained him the situation and requested him a room change, but the guy told me the hotel […] was full so they had no extra rooms... 300+ room Hotel full and just one person at the front desk.. Wonder why nobody answered. Well, he called upon the maintenance manager, who showed up immediately just to say that the air conditioning was ok.. It was obviously not OK, and the concierge that accompanied him agreed with us and apologized, but obviously there was nothing he could do. With the thermostat at 5 degrees we had to sleep two nights without sheets, and to put things worst, the second night water began to leak in the ceiling droping all night long over the carpet... I guess this has to do with the a/c not working properly. I had to wake up to put a towel on the carpet to stop the dropping sound.... All of this plus poor room maintenance overall, makes me wonder how come this franchise hotel was the most expensive of our europe trip which included 4 star hotels in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, St Tropez, Rome and Venezia. 4 stars hotel but actually only 3 and a half stars. We also had to pay for internet access . The rate was 19.50 Euro for each day which is very expensive. With the price we had paid for our hotel, the internet should be included

Location, Location! couldn't be better. Spring for a Deluxe/Sea and City view. You won't be disappointed. We watched parts of the parade right from our balcony. Only disappointments were the rooftop bar & pool closed at 4:30 PM and the spa/jacuzzi was a fee only open until 7 PM. Would have been nice to soak my tired feet & body in the jacuzzi at night. […] Also no free Wifi. For a high priced hotel these amenities should have been included. Read more

The concierge service was outstanding. We attended a local concert and received very precise directions and hand copied packet of information. The room was another story. The accommodations were small and the bathroom is dated and not well appointed for the price. There are other hotels in the area for similar price  with better accommodations.

Our stay at Le Meridian was spectacular. The location was second to none and the rooftop bar and pool was everything one would expect from a trip to the south of France. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. We loved everything about our stay. When a minor hitch arose with the hotel, the staff was incredible and could not do enough for us. […] It is the bumps in the road that put a hotel to the test and Le Meridian arose to the occassion and handled it perfectly. We are told they are closing for seven weeks to renovate. We can wait to go back and see what they do. Read more

Standard 4-star Hotel of Starwood chain. Brilliant location in Nice. Extremely convenient parking. Good smell of fresh linen. Bad smell in the bath room, may be due to dirty drain. Unreasonable daily rate of Wi-Fi service with no weekly rate. So everyone uses free Wi-Fi wave from McDonald located on the first floor of the building. i am blown away at how disgusting this place was. i expected it to be a slightly above average le meridien property. it was GROSS. the carpet was gross, the bathroom was GROSS, the hotel needed some massive rennovations. yuck.

The best thing about this hotel is the location -- right on the water, centrally located and easy to walk to shops and restaurants, and has beach access (which means you can get towels and chairs on the sand for a orice). The lobby has been redone and is modern and very nice, as with most of the common spaces. The hallways and our room were disappointing, […] though. We stayed at the hotel in March and had a pretty mixed time of it (mostly due to the poor weather). The hotel itself is in a good position near to restaurants, the old town and the beach. The rooms are comfortable without being lavish.A plus point is you can get a room facing the bay with a balcony if you want. The staff around the bar and restaurants are welcoming and helpful. As soon as we arrived we had to call for the toilet button for flushing to be fixed. Couldn't have a bath because it took the hot water tap to fill at no more than a dribble. Not a problem of water pressure because we finally filled the bath with the shower house. Not good enough. The staff on duty quite intolerant as it was our second complaint!

Stayed as family of 5 in 2 rooms. Condition and facilities very good - breakfast is superb but pricey. Generally the staff are very polite especially at reception and the dining room. Fantastic hotel, but not what i would consider great value for money. It is hard to believe that in this day and age a huge hotel such as this would feel the need to charge extra for internet access at a ridiculously exorbitant rate. We booked for three people but the room was so small that before they could install the roll away bed they had to remove […] the only chair in the room. The position of the hotel is excellent, comfortable, friendly staff, breakfast is excellent but expensive, and why o why do you have to go and get your coffe out of a slow machine. Don't touch the terrace restaurant, which has an excelent position and friendly staff, but the food, No!

Excellent hotel, helpful staff, well appointed and very convenient. Or room was clean and well equipped. Our only proviso is the cost of extras (eg drinks and meals) which would be OK for business customers but are far more than can be accessed at small bistros in the nearby streets.

Having stayed in Le Meridian many times was not disappointed on this stay. I just find this hotel so convenient for getting around Nice, the staff are always helpful, the food is good, the rooms are good, the views from the dining room/bar are excellent. I always have very good spa treatments as the staff are very professional. The only minus point […] is that Ruhl Plage is the recommended beach and although it is o.k. the staff and service in the restuarant are not up to the standard of Le Meridien. I am looking forward to staying again very soon and to seeing the new refurbishment next year. Read more

I found the entrance very run down and have greater excpectations for a 4 star hotel. I do a great deal of travelling and have experienced some wonderful hotels. I found the upstairs deck lovely but the lack of seating arround the pool was disappointing. Your staff, however, was very friendly and accommodating.

I was a bit anxious about staying here because of the volume of negative reviews and can see where some of them had merit but overall I was happy with this hotel. Check-in was very good and I was given a map with points of interest marked out for me. We got a classic room which overlooks a courtyard. The room was overdue a renovation with frayed skirting […] boards, scuffs on walls and the paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom. If this is likely to upset you then you would be better off paying more for your accommodation in Nice. However, the room was clean and the housekeeping staff were very helpful. There is no charge to use the pool and was enjoyable even in November. You can have coffee/pastries here for a short period in the mornings and this might be a more attractive option then the breakfast buffet which is more expensive and you get a great view of the coastline. The staff were all very helpful and responded to any issue I raised promptly and politely. The location is perfect for exploring Nice. Overall I would come back to this hotel but would take a sea-view room if the price was right Read more

A great location, Le Meridien is perfectly located on the main drag of Nice. Across the road from the beach and sporting it's own dedicated sun lounge space on Nice's main pebbled beach, we enjoyed several days of sunning, wining and dining. Nice is expensive and you do pay extra for absolutely everything - including the sun loungers on both the beach […] and the hotel's roof terrace - but it was worth it. What's not to love about the turquoise blue of the Med?! The massage I had in the hotel's spa was also fantastic and the staff were always friendly and polite. Vi var nöjda med hotellet. Om något, så var sängarna kanske något hårda. Vad som är på negativa sidan är att takpoolen inte hade några solstolar, vilket gör nyttjandet klart begränsat. Annars är läget utmärkt om man vill utforska Nice gamla stad. Man behöver egentligen inte ta taxi någonstans. Hotellet verkar ha genomgått en uppfräschning. Trevlig personal […] och bra service. Kvaliteten på middagen som serverades på takterassen överraskade positivt. Dock rekomenderas att man sitter utomhus då "insidan" var nedsänkta plastväggar som begränsar utsikten och atmosfären. Hotellet var över lag fräscht och fint och läget går inte att slå. Dessutom var det ett plus att det fanns en takterass med egen pool. Däremot minus för viss snorkig personal och som svensk resenär förväntar en sig att det ska vara gratis WiFi. Det är det INTE. Det är dessutom svindyrt.
