We were in College Station for parent's weekend/ring ceremony. Overall, the hotel is nice. The breakfast staff were not exactly friendly. Our room was clean but the bathroom door not only closed very loud but the door hinges squeaked terribly. We did alert management so hopefully these issues will be addressed. We would consider staying there again […] as long as reservations are made well before the hotel is aware of upcoming events. This hotel seems to have a three night minimum with double rates for events. Why does anyone really need to stay three nights to attend graduation? Read more

Nice room. Nice service. Disappointed indoor pool was closed as part of the renovation which made the overall first impression of the first floor weak. Should be a nice place in a few months though. I would go back in 2014.

Check in was great and the person behind the counter did a very good job and was very friendly. We went to the room but our keys did not work. The desk clerk came up and gave us new keys. When we got in the T.V. sound worked but the picture would not work. The desk clerk came back to the room and upgraded us to a bigger nicer room. Hotel was under renovation and over 25% of their parking lot was being used by construction equipment. Renovations will not be done for a while, so it behooves anyone to call ahead and check on the renovation status prior to booking. When I arrived to the hotel late at night by myself, I parked at the front door and waited 5 mintues for someone to come […] to the front desk. The response when I asked where to park was, "you can park at the Applebee's across the street. As far as I know no one has ever been towed." I opted not to cross the 6 lane highway on foot. I parked next door at another hotel hoping that my car would not be towed. I would have never made a reservation had I known of that potentially dangerous and extremely inconvenient issue. That aside, the rooms were clean enough, the beds comfortable, and the water was hot with good pressure, which is all I really need, aside from a decent parking space. :) Read more

Overall it was a good clean hotel, very close to the Texas A&M campus. Their welcoming cookies were delicious. This was my second stay at this hotel, and I would stay here again. Did not like the vanity location, I would prefer for it to be outside of the bathroom. Would recommend this hotel for the price.

Staff very friendly. Enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Liked the breakfast but on the last day my two grandchildren needed milk at 7:00 a.m. for cereal and they said they were out. As far as a hotel it was very clean and comfortable and would recommend highly.

Booked the room so my 16 month old son was having early morning surgery. The Room was musty smelling, the carpet was damp, like it was cleaned but didn't get all the water pulled back up. My son has bad allergies, and woke up with runny nose and sneezing. Son didn't sleep well as well.

I decided to use this hotel as I wanted to sit in a hot tub. Room was nice and clean, not fancy. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room. Nice breakfast and staff was very attentive and pleasant. It's a older hotel and could use some updating, but quite comfortable.

Elevator down for most of stay and we wereon tird floor. My son was stck in the first day for 10 mintes. Had to use his cell to call front desk as no one answered the alarm. Our room also had a funcky smell.

Check in was quick and friendly....I went to the elevators and an older couple coming off shared their concerns with the possibility of it breaking down. I took the stairs (luggage and all). I was in town to enjoy a football game and although the hotel is in Bryan,TX it is actually on the Bryan/College Station line. It is a short 2 miles from Kyle Field. […] When I got to my room I was very pleased with the cleanliness. There was also a microwave, refrigerator and nice size TV. As a female I was pleased the entrance to the rooms were indoors and I never felt unsafe. As I was leaving I stopped in the small dining area for a quick breakfast. A nice assortment of choices. I recently stayed here one night and thought the experience was fine, average. I'm a grad student who lives in Houston, so I had to stay over in order to take an exam in the morning. This was my first stay in College Station. I needed a clean room in a safe location near A&M and the Fairfield Inn is exactly that. I did not need a kitchen/suite and didn't […] want to spend an arm and a leg for one night. The employees were very friendly, but I did not interact with them a whole lot. In case you're interested, the indoor pool I passed in the lobby is tiny...but I certainly did not book this hotel to go swimming. The only minus was that I got there around 8pm and no one was at the front desk. The front desk person didn't come by until 15 minutes later. I found this acceptable for this level of hotel and it was the only minor minus during my "trip". I may consider trying out another hotel in the area if I need to stay again, but would not mind coming back to this one. I believe it is a "3"-level hotel (I mean, it's not a St. Regis or anything), but I rated it a "4" because it fit my needs almost perfectly. Read more

I have stayed in a few College Station hotels, the Hilton being on and I can say that The Fairfield was great (better that Hilton). The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was quite suitable.

Hotel staff was wonderful. Our daughter, who attends A&M, was having surgery and then staying with us overnight at the hotel. The manager asked how the surgery went and how she was feeling when he saw my husband and myself at breakfast the next morning. Staff was very accommodating. Listen the key test for me and probably for you is whether or not i can sleep in a hotel. Usually i don't. Here i did. Nice comfortable room, darkened nicely, cooled nicely. Bed was just fine. Enjoyed the texas shaped waffles you can whip up for breakfast there. Liked the friendly staff as well.

Every reasonable need was satisfied by the Fairfield Inn. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the free breakfast started us off right. The breakfast staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone.

Close to campus. Very small, but clean indoor pool. Clean, but in need of refurbishment. For example, the sink counter was cracked underneath. Everything we needed was there though.

This hotel is perfect if you just need a place to sleep for one or two nights. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good - not just cold cereal- and the bed was really comfortable. I didn't worry about the cleanliness or safety. If you're looking for a good, cheap place for a brief stay, this is a great pick.

The hotel was clean, staff very helpful, and all that I expected from a Fairfield. However, it just seemed a little over priced for the date/ location/ quality. Breakfast was really good and there were a wide variety of choices for a contiental breakfast.
