Hotel Central - Innsbruck

Everything about the hotel was great. The only drawback was wireless is not available in the rooms. We were there to ski, very convenient. We took the bus to the mountain and it was so easy. Had three incredible days of skiing. Breakfast buffet every morning was delicious!

The hotel's location is very convenient, half-way between the train station and the old town. The hotel is a bit of a grand old ship. We had other family also book in here, so we got to see almost all the different rooms in the photographs: from the very modern but slightly cramped to the somewhat older but very spacious. The rooms were all perfectly […] pleasant. Our (modern) ones had a safe that was, curiously, not attached to anything. That apart, the rooms were in very good shape and maintained well. It was rather too warm, though, even given the season. For some nights our rate included breakfast. The breakfast buffet was adequate: large but not hugely diverse or creative. Curiously for a Germanic place, instead of good müsli, they had just single-serve boxes of Kellogg's cereal, which was a letdown. But it was fine for vegetarians too. One morning we tried to eat breakfast at the attached cafe, which was frustrating in several ways (not to mention smoky). Trying to make a dinner reservation at the hotel restaurant was a comically bad experience. The two simply didn't know how to communicate. This wasn't a language problem, either, as we had a fluent German speaker coordinating with them. There was no WiFi in the rooms, but there was free WiFi in the lobby area. This includes the mezzanine floor right above the lobby, which is a much more comfortable place to sit and browse. The exercise facility was excellent. Read more

We had a delightful stay at the Hotel Central. The hotel is a very easy walk from the old city and its many attractions, and just a few blocks from the train station. The […] only small problem was that it was a few degrees warmer than we would have preferred and we couldn't find a thermostat in the room to adjust the temperature. Other members of our family had the same problem in their rooms. It wasn't a big concern though, and we didn't bother to notify the hotel staff about it. There is very little communication between the hotel and the attached cafe/restaurant. It was surprisingly difficult to make a dinner reservation by calling the number listed on the hotel website. When I tried to confirm the dining reservation upon arrival at the hotel, I was told I could only do that with the restaurant manager directly. We expected a usual small, cramped European room, but we were so surprised! We had a very comfortable room with a wonderful bathroom. The lift was adorable, restaurant (breakfast) was exceptional, including champagne. We can't say enough. We had mixed feelings about this hotel. It was clean, convenient to all of the sights and the train station and was located in a nice neighborhood. However, the front desk people we encountered were unfriendly and not very helpful. It's amazing how much that one thing can color one's opinion. This hotel was comfortable and in a great location. We were able to walk there from the train station - less than 10 minutes. All front desk personnel were extremely helpful. AND, the breakfast was the best I've encountered, with something for every type of diet. This is not a four star hotel but you get more than your money's worth.

Hotel in fantastic location, convenient parking, very friendly and helpful staff. Only downsides were: No AC, which wouldn't have been a problem, but we couldn't keep the window open due to too much street noise (delivery trucks and street sweepers), and Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby area.

My boyfriend and I visited Innsbruck over a hot weekend in August. Without AC, and neighbors outside the window, we were uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Beyond this, the hotel was great, friendly staff and much larger room than I have seen for the price.

We enjoyed staying here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location on side street. Convenient to major sights. On our last full day in Innsbrucke we were moved to a larger more spacious room as they had some plumbing problems with our smaller room. They were very apologetic about it and did not charge us for the larger room.

Clean, comfortable and great service. Most important: very central. no need to use any public transportation or car. You can reach all the sightseeing within max 10min walk. Very nice hotel, they were in the midst of a renovation but the room was clean and fairly comfortable. Beds a little hard by US standards, but comfortable by European standards. We would go back again without questions. Underground parking was limited but wasn't an issue to get a spot, close to shopping and dining. It was well worth the money.

It was very easy to get to the hotel from the train station. This was a new, modern hotel. The ceiling was high and the room was spacious (one queen-size bed). Good hotel, in the middle of the city, close to shopping area, close to the old town, restaurants. The rooms are big, clean, though not very up-to-date. There is no free parking, though the parking is very close, more expensive during weekends. Breakfast is included, many choices. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is really good, in the middle of the old city. The room was a new and comfortable. I share comments in the internet, there is a noise isolation problem at this hotel. Stayed for one night and was very exhausted so by help of it we fainted in to sleep other wise it would be painful and hard to fall asleep.

Riktigt bra frukost men några andra störande saker. Hotellet ligger inte så extremt centralt som man kan tro, när vi var där pågick någon form av renovering med störande betongborrning. Platsen utanför hotellet är populärt av skateboardåkande ungdomar vilket hördes tydligt på natten. Annars helt okej hotell.

Die Preis Leistung war erschreckend gut. Man ist mitten in der City nicht weit weg vom Nachtleben, WLAN ist kostenlos die Zimmer sind modern ausgestattet (aber nichts weltbewegendes). Über sonderwüsche kann man mit dem Personal vernünftig reden. Ich kann es nur empfehlen
