Had wheelchair assistance provided by AA for overnight stay prior to cruise. Requested room close as possible to elevator. LITERALLY rec'd room at very end of corridor. Their Concierge Desk was worse: my wheelchair escort asked if they'd provide a wheelchair or at least a bellman to assist with my 2 pc luggage transport to my cruise check-in point in […] the airport; they denied and, I quote: "If she were going to an outgoing airline, yes; but can't because we service the airlines, not the guests." Hotel is as dank and airless as the airport in which it is located. There is no access to Florida's lovely outdoors, and it costs $25+ each way to get to anywhere other than a chain to eat or any neighborhood in which to take a walk. Not a 4 star hotel, but perfect when you have a layover. The rooms are clean (the carpeting should be replaced but otherwise fine) and CONVENIENT. The convenience of this hotel is the main positive point I would note. It was definitely worth the stay since my connection was at 6:00 the next morning. I did have two problems while staying there. I ordered room service and it took them three trips to get my order right and even then they never brought the "free flan" you are supposed to get when […] you order an entree even though I reminded them twice. The second problem I had was that I ordered a movie that cost $17.99 because it is still in theaters, but about 30 minutes into the movie, the sound got mis-timed from the picture so it was hard to watch when the actors' mouths weren't moving with the sound. Frustrating to pay so much and not get the quality product you would expect. The location of the room was bad too. It was right next to the elevators and VERY loud. Other than that, it was fine. I would stay here again but only if my next flight was extremely early. If I had more time for a free shuttle from a nearby hotel that was cheaper and nicer I would do that. Read more

Location is convenient, as the shuttles and transfers can occur as though you were just arriving from the airport. The food prices leave a lot to be desired, although the selection was okay. The bar has a nice sandwich menu.and the restaurant has good service. The rooms are clean but dated.

Only real problem was that we had a 3 ft diameter pole in our room so we had to crawl across the bed to get out since this pole was at the end of the bed and blocked you from getting out. Strange, but probably not the same in other rooms.

This hotel may have been fun several decades ago when it was new, but it is a dormitory-type of facility with slow check-in, a very tired and out-dated restaurant and small, basic rooms. My recommendation is to only stay here if necessary for an early mooring departure.

I can't believe this is an airport hotel. Despite the price, it is old and run down. The rooms are tiny. (and this is coming off a 1 month Europe vacation!). The checkin took forever, as no one was there to check us in. The room service had the worst pizza I've ever had. The soundproofing was not sufficient and we listened to planes all night long. […] To top it off, someone called security on us after our baby cried for 5 minutes. Avoid this hotel at all costs, just take a shuttle to one of the very nearby decent hotels for the same price. Don't be tempted by the fact that it's "in airport". My biggest complaint is that the room was dirty. There was hair all over - even on the towels - and the bathroom floor and tub looked as if they hadn't been cleaned since before Castro ruled Cuba. I was grossed out sufficiently that I skipped taking a shower in the morning as I thought I'd literally catch a foot fungus or possibly ebola from the tub. […] There was a single check in concierge checking in a huge line. The best pro going for this hotel is its location. We had an early flight leaving at 7am the next day in Terminal D and it was very convenient to just get out of bed and to security.
