We had an excellent stay. The only two issues are keys were an issue. They ended up changing the lock and comping a breakfast for us. Also, the website made it sound like a rollaway bed would not be an additional charge but when we checked in they wanted an additional $30/night. Other than that the stay was great. "Overall Excellent Hotel"
Our family of five stayed at the Lenox for 5 nights and stayed in a corner suite (2 Queen beds with a sofa bed). It was roomy, clean, and beautiful. The location is ideal and close to T, walking distance to Fenway Park, and Boston Commons, Prudential Center, etc. The staff was attentive to all of our needs and super friendly, especially our kids. "Fit all of our needs"
We would definitely stay here again! The hotel is in very good condition and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The location was perfect, right in Back Bay area and an easy walk over to the Charles River, up to the Public Garden and Boston Commons, and beyond. The room/beds were comfy; we wanted queen beds for our family of four which was part of our decision […] in choosing the Lenox. Appreciated their unlimited supply of free water bottles at the desk as we headed in or out. An overall great experience! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classic old Boston hotel"
Very well-located, and perfect for a family of four with two teenagers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location -"
This was our first time to Boston and the Lenox was a great place to stay. The room was a little small, but the quality of the staff and the location more that makes up for any shortcomings. The location was in a great neighborhood close to all of the scenic and historic sites.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just as billed"
comfortable hotel in an excellent location with friendly serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I really had high hopes for the Lenox prior to my stay, and they met most of my expectations. The location in unreal, right in the back bay and next to the beautiful Boston Public Library and Newbury Street. The restaurant is great inside the restaurant lobby as well - even though it was dead on a Friday night, I will chalk it up to it being summer. […] The lobby decor is cozy and well done, I definitely felt like I was in a special place. My room was nice, the bathroom was okay except the shower was a bit small for my 5'9 frame. Things that could be better: the elevators, the wifi in the rooms (mine wouldn't work half the time, but it's nice that it's free), and I was disappointed by the front door staff - I was rarely greeted as I came and went. That should be a given for a hotel of this nature. All in all, great stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Mini-vacation with two teenaged sons"
This was the best place I could've picked. The concierge (Casey) outdid herself finding us interesting places to eat and visit. The hotel's location - next to the Boston Library - was perfect because we could either walk or metro everywhere. And we did. In four days we did every neighborhood, a whale watching trip, ate in wonderful restaurants, went […] to a museum that the boys were actually sad to leave (ICA). I did a ton of research in advance, but the kindness of the staff at Lenox was above and beyond. For parents of teenagers (i have four) it's so difficult to keep them interested and engaged but this trip, unlike most, I wasn't forcing it. They loved Boston, they loved Copley Square, the food was fantastic, the people were so friendly, it was a fantastic experience for all of us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Fantastic Boutique hotel in the heart of Boston! I loved the location and found the service excellent!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything about the hotel was excellent. People were very nice. Accommodations were fantastic. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I really love the location of this hotel! We walked everywhere! We came to boston and did all the sight seeing and took in a game at Fenway. The concierge was wonderful and helped us set everything up. We even brought the dog. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score was because our dog got out of the room one morning accidentally ( he is a 4lb […] chihuahua) and was out for 10 minutes tops. We got him back to the room and received an angry phone call from the front desk telling us to "keep our dog in our room for the safety of other guests". As if we let him out on purpose. I was appalled by the overall nasty tone of the call and just really felt it could've been handled better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Service in Beautiful Boutique Hotel"
We thoroughly enjoyed two nights at the Lenox Hotel. The staff are friendly and professional. The concierge recommended the Old Town Trolley tour and the Stephanie's on Newbury restaurant; both of which we enjoyed. Our Junior Suite room was delightful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful experience. Hotel was right in the middle of tons of shopping and dining, and within walking distance to all the historical sites and activities. Hotel staff was very helpful and polite.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, friendly staff"
The location was good for touring the area. Easy to walk to many places. The staff was very friendly, which was great after a long trip to arrive one day late. They were very good with the delay in our arrival and had no issues. We were in town for the Boston Pop's 4th of July show and were caught in the terrible rain storm, again the staff was very […] helpful and friendly when we arrived back at the hotel soaked to the bones. The room was very comfortable and the view from our room was very nice. The rooms are slightly run down, but just a deep dusting and touchup paint would cure that issue. The bed was very comfortable. The elevators on the top floors can be a little slow to arrive. Room service food was good. TV in the room was huge. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
So, given the price, I expected something special. The only thing that is notable about this hotel is its location. The interior of the hotel looks like it was last updated in 1978. It is dingy, unattractive and the rooms are tiny. The staff is welcoming and very friendly, but honestly, I was stunned when I walked in. This is really a step up from a […] cheap hotel. It needs a complete makeover, even the staff was dressed in jeans. Unless you are getting a REALLY good deal here, stay somewhere else. It is NOT a place where the cost is justified by the experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, attentive hotel staff"
We were able to walk to the T at Copley to get to other parts of Boston. Not much more than a block to the restaurants, shops and Skywalk at the Prudential Center. Pleasant, attentive staff. They helped us with whatever we needed.Genuine Expedia guest review
From the moment you enter this hotel to checkout its outstanding! Service is great and the hotel is small, elegant and right in the middle of everything!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing old fashion customer service!!"
very clean amazing room service excellent food great prices!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Below average. The room was clean but small. The view was completely blocked by some sort of unidentifiable apparatus. The bathroom was crowded - toilet seat had to be manually held up or it would fall closed when left to it's own devises. Way overpriced!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Choice -- Copley Square Location"
Following my college reunion in Cambridge, I decided to stay an extra day to see some more of Boston. So I relocated to the Lenox, which had a reasonable rate and an excellent location close to Copley Square. I asked for a quiet room away from traffic noise and that's what I got. The staff was very courteous and helpful. It's an older hotel, but it […] was clean, as was my room. Bed was very comfortable. There were a number of restaurants within a couple of blocks and I was able to get a good dinner on a Sunday night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was small enough for us to feel cozy even if we were staying in the middl of the downtown Boston! They had ice tea service in the lobby in the afternoon, which was great, but it was a bit random.. one day they had service , one day they didn't. We wanted to have them everyday, of course! But overall, it was a great stay. thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We went to boston for our sons college graduation. This is the second time we have stayed at the lenox. This hotel is perfect. The people could not be nicer and the location is amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful gem in the heart of Back Bay"
I live this hotel. The staff is excellent and make you feel very special. You can't beat the location - Right around the corner from Boyleston St. Close to the T and Copley Square. The king rooms are a little small though. I stayed in a room with 2 doubles previously and that room was larger.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
From our arrival, when the head doorman brought me a glass of wine to enjoy while I checked in, to the friendly valet that brought us our car when we left the next day-this hotel and staff really went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable stay. The room was exceptionally clean, along with the entire hotel. We enjoyed after baseball game drink and […] dessert and Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant and both were wonderful. The only negative comment I have is that upon checking in, we were told that they were upgrading us to a larger suite for the night-but it turned out to be a handicap accessible room. When we realized that it was late in the evening and too late to change rooms. I just feel that I should have been told that was the upgrade, so that I could make the decision whether or not to stick with the original room booked (which I personally would being that I don't feel comfortable using a room that should be saved for somebody that might need the extra accoutrements that an accessible room has). Besides that-excellent hotel!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Lenox is a wonderful hotel."
I am so glad we stayed here. Not only is it a really beautiful hotel, it is centrally located in the Back Bay. You can catch the tram station a block away. And walk to everything else you would want to see. Tons of resturants within walking distance (don't miss Newbury St. one block over and the Prudential tower rest., even a Starbuck across the street […] (we all have our priorities). The hotel itself is really beautiful. There is free coffee/tea in the lobby in the morning and free ice tea and cookies in the afternoon. What a nice touch. The rooms are older but decorated in a regal way. One of the reviews said there was no refridgerator but that is wrong they have refridgerators. We asked for a view and from the 11th floor it was wonderful. The staff could not have been more pleasant and truely helpful. Alittle pricey but worth it. We will stay here again on our next trip. What pleasant experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Nothing is too much trout for the staff. The rooms are great with complimentary water bottles and free wifi. I am so used to being Nickle and dimed at expensive hotels for the wifi and other items. This was a pleasant exception.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good but not excellent"
The main issue of use stay is that we were placed in a room where there was significant noise from an outside motor which is located just below our room window. As a consequence, we did not sleep well at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We love The Lennox. it was walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Boston. We even walked to Fenway. Awesome restaurants in the are including the ones at the hotel. Service throughout the hotel was top notch. The concierge service was the best and they declined a tip saying it was their pleasure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Amazing customer service!!"
My husband and I took our 4 month old to Boston this past weekend for a Conference I was attending and I must say the Lenox did not disappoint. As soon as we arrived, my baby was given a stuffed animal from the staff and we were given bottles of water. As soon as we got to the room there was a beautiful basket there for my baby with a blanket, robe […] and baby bath products and rubber duckies!! the house keeping left extra bottles of water in his room to make formula without me having to request them. Truly first class service. The bathrooms need to be renovated but overall the hotel is beautiful! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Wonderful Boutique Hotel centrally located."
The purpose of my trip to Boston was to take my grandson for serious medical treatment at Boston Children's Hospital. From the minute the hotel staff learned why we were there they couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. A basket was brought up to his room filled with all kinds of treats and good wishes for him. Every member of the hotel staff […] greeted us, cheerily morning and night, eager to please any request we might have for them. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There are no coffee pots in the rooms but complimentary coffee is self served in the lobby or available through room service. There is a lovely bar and restaurant located off the lobby, both of which were lovely. Comfortable beds, plush thick towels and bathrobes provided all the comforts of home! "Wonderful Element of our Boston Experience"
I recently took my first trip to Boston with my daughters and best friend. From the moment we arrived, the Lenox was a wonderful experience. In the heart of the shopping district, the boutique hotel was beautiful. Our room was a junior suite with plenty of room for four of us. The staff was kind and accommodating to our needs. The location was incredibly […] convenient just a few yards from the finish line of the Boston Marathon and a T station. The restaurants were good and reasonably priced. Greeted by name by all staff only moments after we checked in. Doorman comped me a glass of wine. Next day desk man bought me a drink. Guess I look like I needed some liquor? "Lovely boutique hotel"
Everything was perfect. Only issue is the closet door would not stay open, making use of the mirror on inside of the door challenging. The closet door closes automatically, so I found myself enclosed in the closet several times. Bathroom is small, but has everything, including fantastic Kiehl's products.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great downtown hotel. Right at Copley Square."
Wonderful staff, room and location. Gave free bottled water nightly. Cozy lobby, bar and restaurant. And finally... somebody simply provides water without charging $5 a bottle. A definite repeat hotel.....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
