"Decent hotel outside of the main tourist core"
Hotel is comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, and staff were helpful. The hotel is close to public transit and it doesn't take very long to get to the main tourist core. The immediate neighborhood is a bit run down and doesn't offer much in the way of restaurants or amenities. However, this may change soon as they are building a massive new main […] train station within a few hundred meters of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very close to subway stop making all sights accessible; close to Belvedere; many good restaurants nearby; good breakfast; breakfast box to go when leaving early in the morning for the airportGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to metro and the bus station"
there has to be free wifi in a hotel of this class- because the hotel , the amenities or the location- which is jus is not worth the money it chargesGenuine Expedia guest review
The Hotel staff was the highlight of the hotel. The rooms were adequate for sleeping and storing your luggage. The very frustrating thing about this hotel is they charge you €10 for 24 hours use of wifi and it seldom worked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Good Experience"
A fine hotel that is well maintained, clean and convenient. Hampered currently by being across the street from a massive construction site, but a great location for the independent traveler using the trams and subways to get around Vienna.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for female travelers"
It was great hotel, so I realy recomend for everyone, especially for female traveler or single traveler.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Belvedere and U station"
Front desk staff was very helpful making reservations and giving directions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very well maintained 'Altbau'"
The building is more than 100 year old (Altbau). The ceiling is four meter high. Very well maintained. Good breakfast. Only one minute walk to the U1 subway station.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just down the block from Belvedere Gardens"
Friendly hotel staff, comfortable room, excellent Buffet breakfast and centrally located.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I think it is good hotel for 2 people."
Lack of good information about how to go there from the Airport, and lack of information, that the railway station near the hotel is in rebuilding, so Airport buses does not stop near the hotel, probably temporarily, but I did not receive the information about it in advance. Everything else was OK.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Run down bUt clean"
Not in the best area...by a train station...Internet sucked, but it was free. The hotel was clean but beat down.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs to be refurbished"
Good location steps from a station and Belvedere Palace. At the time there is a construction of a new station right across the hotel, but we were never in the hotel during the day so that didn't bother us. Metro is only a few minutes away. I don't know how it can be a 4 star. Carpet is filthy, TV (looks 1980s) 13 inch screen that is supposed to be color, […] but it is not. The bathroom was the only thing that looked decent, but the tub was way to deep (difficult to get out off). Staff was fine. Internet guest computer has a fee. Not too much to do in the neighborhood. Although facing the huge building works of the South station (closed at present) and the shopping plaza-to-be and at the edge of a rather depressed area, the hotel was actually a little oasis - very clean and welcoming with smiling staff. It's about 1km from Vienna centre with its museums which is reflected in reasonable room rates. Overall, pleasantly […] surprised. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very good experience"
This hotel was a very good find. Although it is not central, Vienna's transit system is so good there was no problem getting around. Our room was facing the street and there is major construction and traffic, which was a big concern, but the insolation blocked everything out. The breakfast was very good. The only negative was not having free wi-fi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was clean with a good view of Vienna. All the basics for personal comfort were present and the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast room was pretty and the food was attractively presented and tasty. The hotel is close to 2 metro stations and 2 tram stations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"affordable and clean"
As long as the construction project to build Vienna's new station across the street is going on (tentatively until 2015), the attractiveness and value of this hotel is limited. But overall it is not bad for Vienna given convenient location and closeness to the metro station (Line One).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good deal in the central Vienna vicinity"
I think this hotel was quite decent especially considering its location and price. The only downside is that the building is not so well constructed and I could hear neighbor's noise (shutting the cabinet and doors). But except that, the staffs were very professional, friendly, and accommodating. It is close to Belvedere and in front of the South Station(closed […] as of March 2012 for renovation). Walking distance from the central Vienna. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice place to stay, very convenient location"
I stayed in two hotels this trip to Vienna, one in Prinz Eugen and another for group tourists. This is the best. Its setting is elegant and breakfast is rich. The bathroom is very clean. It does not have a curtain. Water is blocked by a glass pane. I like that design. The tub is a bit narrow but, hey, European walk so much that they don't have a big […] fat belly. (You should really walk on the street just to see the slim girls in their fashionable attires.) The street in front of the hotel is dirty and messy, as a super transportation hub is being built across the street. Once that is done, this hotel will be a top brand. Now, you can walk 200 meters west to get on U1 subway at Sudtirollor station, and walk 200meters east to Belvedere to see "The Kiss" by Klims. From VIE airport, you take S-Bahn to Rennweg, where you change to tram for one stop (you have to buy an S-Bahn ticket and a one way subway ticket or 24hrs ticket. If you don't buy a ticket and got caught, one violation will cost 70eu) Very convenient location. You can walk to the inner city for about 30 minutes, or you take U1 at Sudtirollor to Karlsplatz, where you can walk to St. Stephen's cathedral, or take U4 to Shonbrunn Palace. Another thing worthy mentioning is their friendly staff. In the night of Feb 7, I was trying to call others who stayed in another hotel. The gentleman at the reception desk was very helpful. "Breakfast is rich, free internet service is unavailable"
My wife and I stayed at this hotel on 26, 27/Oct and 08/Nov for our honeymoon. Breakfast is rich as every reviewer said. The only down side is they do not provide free internet service and internet fee is expensive. We had a small room for the first 2 nights, but had a huge room after we had come back from Budapest. The receptionist remembered us when […] we came back from Budapest, and that make us feel we are home again. Transport is convenient, about 10 min walk from "Sudtiroler Platz". There are metro, rail bus, suburban city train in "Sudiroler Platz" this station. If you want to go to city centre "Stephan-Platz", it takes 4 stops there include the first station. For Seegrotte half day tour, you will need to take suburban city train from "Sudiroler Platz". One rail bus stop to "Belvederegarten", just get off "Sudbahnhof" and take a walk toward north then you will be there. I will recommend this hotel. If I go to Wien, I will stay at this hotel again definitely. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff are helpful and multi lingual. The Continental breakfast is basic (as expected) but well-stocked and more-than acceptable. The only downside was my room size was pretty small. The rooms were nice and quiet, even with construction going on nearby. The hotel is about a 3km walk from St. Stephen's, but only 150m […] from the U1 line directly into the city. My experience here was very nice. I would readily recommend it to any Vienna-bound travelers. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Nice hotel but, room was very warm. The only way to cool the room was to open the windows and the traffic was loud, too loud to sleep. It was like living under a highway bridge. If the a/c could have been turned on it would have been an ok stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is great. Especially for the price. Our room was huge and very quite as it was back from the door and hallway. The bartender was extrememly helpful and saved me a lot of money by telling me different discounts I could get on tours and train tickets. The entire staff was very helpful. However the comments I read before I went said the airport […] bus stops at the south train staion near the hotel so I took it. This bus no longer stops at the south train station. The south train station is under construction and not running as usual. There is another staion near the hotel that can be used for going downtown so the only inconvenience is the airport. This hotel will be very conveniently located when the new huge train station is finished. The only tiny complaint I have is the breakfast starts a bit late. Our tours picked us up at 6:30 in the morning and that's when the breakfast starts. They did however always let us in early to eat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. "excellent spot to see klimt's works and get to know vienna!"
Enjoyed my stay at Prinz Eugen, especially its close access to underground routes and the Belvedere. Room was teeny-tiny, but who wants to stay in the room for more than sleep, anyway? Breakfasts were very nice w/ good variety of edibles. I'd certainly stay here again, and recommend it to friends!Genuine Expedia guest review
Near Belvedere & Museum Arsenal. 20 minutes by tram or metro to the center. Very, very good sound insulation & cleanliness . Near the rail station is build, so the view is not very nice. Free Wi fi only in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for money, location not bad at all"
Very easy to reach the hotel from the airport: take S7 line to Rennweg Station and than any of the S1, S2 or S3 trains to Quartier Belvedere. Very cheap too. Well connected to the city by Ubahn or tram. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Good windows. Good breakfast, served until late. Polite and helpful personnel. Grocery stores in the area. Rooms a little […] outdated. The free internet is slow, but enough for checking e-mails, finding info about museums, trains and so on. You have to pick up "tickets" from the front desk with user name/password couples good for 30 minutes. You can use as many "tickets" as you need. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Pleasant hotel close to transport."
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Hauptbahnhof , the train to the airport and also because it was within walking distance to many historic sites. Definitely not 4-star by my definition! Need to get basics right (mini-bar price list in room, pen/pencil). 'TV in all rooms' if you like watching poor quality black-and-white images with an *exceptionally* loud volume (even on lowest volume setting). Wi-fi -you can use it in the hotel lobby, but £10 PER DAY for use in your room. This is unacceptable […] in 21st century. Had a bad experience relating to service from night staff. I arrived late around 8pm and was tired and hungry, and so I enquired whether there were any restaurants nearby where I could go. I was told an italian place round the corner was open to midnight, so took a shower unpacked etc and the restaurant was closed by 9.30pm when i got there. Hotel advised no other restaurants nearby and shrugged shoulders when I asked for help! Found a restaurant in a nearby hotel (ironically enough), no thanks to Prinz Eugen staff. One point on plus side: i had zero issues with noise that others have indicated. The room has an inner lobby which is very clever where bathroom and wardrobe are, with a separating door to the room. Windows are double-glazed and there is a second inner window which totally eliminates noise from outside street and station etc. wouldn't stay again though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice if your not picky"
The Prinz Eugen hotel was nice, staff were nice, lovely and clean hotel. Location is not sentral, but very easy to accesse by public transport. If you don't need vienna on your doorstep, but would like a nice, clean friendly hotel, it's good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Excellent access to bus, tram, Schnell Bahn and trains - Bus 14A takes you into the centre of Vienna. Good location. Easy access. Although not in a really great neighbourhood considering the constructuion of the new main station of Vienna right opposite, I still felt it was a very practical hote for a tourist visiting Vienna for the first time.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is clean with friendly staff, The overall service is good. There should be more variety in the breakfast menu, it seems the same if you stay for than two days. I would recommend this to collegues and friends. The possibility of providing limited complimentary(for half hour/one hour daily) WiFi in the room should be considered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Exceptional value for the money!"
Lovely hotel! A bit tricky finding the parking. The front desk gave us a google map as to where the economical parking was, only 7.00 euros for 24 hours but without the GPS it might have been difficult. Please ask for non smoking room if you are a non smoker. The smoking rooms reek with smoke including towels and all bedding. We asked to change right […] away and there was no problem. Remember Austria allows smoking everywhere including restuarants. Other than that, the hotel was great! Internet was available in the lobby. The furnishings and decor in the public area was lovely. Breakfast was your typical European breakfast and as always great. The underground and trams were very close and very easy to use. Buy your tram tickets in the underground as it is more economical. There should be variety in the breakfast; like fried eggs, more of salads, oat meal porridge and whole wheat bread, this would make the breakfast wholesome and healthy. "Not well situated"
The hotel is great and the service was good and yes it is near a subway station. However, the view we had from our room was not very insteresting and the neighbourhood was not very pretty. "A hunky-dory, hassle-free, hotel!"
No real complaints about this hotel. Staff were very helpful and it is conveniently located about 200 yards from Sudtiroler Platz underground station and 100 yards from Sudbahnhof train station. For those wanting to walk, St Stephen's Cathedral and the city centre is about 30-40 mins away. Although erring more towards the functional rather than the […] luxurious, the rooms are clean and fresh and have two sets of doors to keep the noise out from the building site over the road. "Not for business"
My room has no heating available even it's in October of Vienna!!!. I claimed it to the reception, but nothing happened. He said " one side of building has not yet been heated, but another side only. Because your room was standard, you were located on non-heating side. That's your chose, but not ours" If the hotel disclosed su the condition when booking, […] it might be awared, but nothing was informed. The hotel never admitted his mistake. Parking was another terrible condition. No public parking around the hotel, but road side with fully parked only. The hotel advised me to use public parking located more on city side which requires me to return to the hotel by tram!! Room and breakfast were average. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"reasonable value for money"
little far from key tourist attractions - but I didn't mind walking much. Using a prepaid service like Expedia, I had to insist on a room higher up/quieter....overall suitable for a place to rest/breakfast was functional and edible. Certainly not luxurious but an efficient way to see Vienna at a reasonable price. Most staff were fully bilingual.Genuine Expedia guest review
My single room was perfect. Very comfortable, air conditioning, television with BBC channel, and a nice balcony. The buffet breakfast (included in the price) was excellent with a huge choice of food. It is only about five minutes on the bus into the centre of Vienna.Genuine Expedia guest review
