The website says all rooms have refrigerator and microwave. Not so; you have to ask for them, and probably pay extra. Queen bed had flat double bed sheets - bunched up underneath us - not comfortable. Bathroom floor sticky.

We got this hotel for SXSW about a month before, after all the downtown hotels were long sold out. The location is about 30 minutes from Austin, which worked out well since the price was super affordable. When we pulled up and saw the exterior we were a little worried, since we've stayed in similar looking hotels with extremely bad rooms. However, the […] room we stayed in was actually non-smoking and it looks like they do a good job of keeping the non-smoking rooms non-smoking. The room was extremely clean, great smell, and equivalent of what you would find in $150/night rooms in a Hilton or Marriott. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had to ship 3 huge packages before our stay and everything was kept safe for us before we arrived. I would say that the overall rating is a 4.5 considering our experience, and how much we spent on the hotel considering its a nutty weekend in Austin. We would stay there again next year. Read more

As others have indicated, This hotel is perfectly adequate for the average man to spend a night in. It was reasonably clean, and everything worked. This location was the cheapest location near my brother's wedding and I had low expectations. I was really surprised by the hotel and the rooms themselves. The location was good... And the guy at check-in was pleasant... But the hotel itself is rather old... And hasn't been updated in a while... Light sockets were exposed... One of the doors to the room, the dead bolt wouldn't lock... If my wife would have been with me, she would have made us switch hotels.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The first room they put me in the TV didn't work. They changed me quickly to another room. I'm not a big breakfast eater; the cereal, bananas and muffins were plently. I've been there twice and will probably go again.

All the employees worked to make everything good. The young Latino female at the front desk could easily work at a 5 star hotel. Her smiles lit the room and made me feel like I was visiting with family. Old Motel with the care of loving folks. I will stay there again when I go back to TX.

The room wasn't that bad, but lots of transient workers are in and out all hours and very noisy. I stayed 4 days and my room wasn’t cleaned one time while I was there. On my last day I was to check out by 11AM. I had a meeting in the morning and returned at 10AM to rest and use the restroom facilities before I got on the road. I hadn't checked out yet, […] but the cleaning ladies were in the room preparing it for the next guest. When I told them I hadn’t checked out yet and needed the room, they kept cleaning and didn’t leave. I then heard them making rude comments about my underwear that I had still in the room. I told the owner/manager at the front desk and he apologized but refused to do anything about it. I then told him I was going to let people know how they treated me, and he said OK, like he didn't care. The continental breakfast is frosted flakes and a granola bar and a banana. I wouldn't bring my wife here, but it was good for a hunting trip. Floor needed a better cleaning and the remote didn't work, but it was comfortable. Staff was also very kind and easy to work with, and very accommodating to the guests from what I saw.

The lobby smelled like stale cigarette smoke, The green room was pretty, Had to request a microwave/refrigerator, but it was quickly supplied. On the floor by the door, so the door of the fridge dragged on the carpet. Odd. The coffee pot was next to the TV but there was no outlet there. Odd.
