The reason I did not give this hotel 5 ratings, is that some of my friends stayed in non updated rooms. So I feel I got lucky with my room. My room was updated with a nice bathroom and an oh so cool toiled with seat warmers. I think thats common place though. The bed was kinda on the firm side, but I still slept like a rock. The location of the hotel […] was about a 10 min walk to the MRT, so that made it very convenient. There were several restaurants within walking distance, so that was a plus. 7 elevens were everywhere and a late night Mos Burger was just down the street. The staff were friendly, but the only advice I have, is that if you are bringing foreign currency to exchange for taiwanese dollar, make sure it's free from tears and ink as they will not accept it. The taiwanese people are so friendly and clean, it was an awesome place to visit. Public transportation is lightyears ahead of America. Read more

Good; We got to the hotel around 11am and the front desk let us check in around 1pm. It helped us a lot because we were both tired from traveling. The door man and other staff we encountered there were nice. smile and kind. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from Zhong Xiao Fu Xing station. very convenient. There are western style breakfast places on Ren […] Ai Rd. Maybe 5~10mins walk. MUCH better than hotel's breakfast. And half of the price. Bad; We stayed for 4 nights. The 2nd day, I found a soft contact lens was sticking on a shower room wall. Neither of us wear contact lenses so it means that was from the previous customer who stayed in the same room. GROSS! Amenities, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, were not inside of the shower room as they were at the 1st day and they were putted so randomly. I expect the hotel put everything at the original places so customer doesn't need to look for it, especially in the middle of shower. The breakfast of the hotel is not worth NT600 at all. The breads and veggie were dried and foods were cold. I strongly recommend to go to a local western style restaurant. Even taking a taxi, it's cheaper than NT600. Read more

We like the location a lot. This used to be a premium hotel years ago but it is now a bit old. Though it was rennovated just a ciouple months ago, our bathroom has not been upgraded. The Howard Plaza has been around for some time and it shows it's age. The hotel is aware an was undergoing renovations during or stay. No mention of this during the booking process, only upon checkin. It made sleeping in a chore as work began at 8am. I was assigned an older room which was adequately sized, clean and provided all amenities. It was a […] bit dated but serviceable, the door was cheap plywood and did little to block out noise from the hallway. The good, the service was great as front desk was polite and helpful. Housekeeping responsive as was Conceirge. Location is top notch as it has easy access to airports (stop for Tao Yuan) and minutes from subway stop. Sogo and other department stores and shopping area nearby. If not for old room and renovation work, I would rate this stay much higher. Read more

They were not prepared for the New Year's crowd and all the key cards were cancelled at midnight, so everyone was locked out of their room when they came back after the celebrations. the suite rooms are way too small far from what you see on their website. we booked for the suite room for 4days and 3 nights and was only given 1 free breakfast. tsk tsk. and beware when you check out a little later than 3pm. you will be charge half of your room's rate with no consideration at all! never will i return to this hotel!

台湾朋友介绍的酒店，老就老了点，不过很多已经在翻新。但是台湾的服务绝对是好，毕竟是五星的酒店，各种服务都非常的nice和周到，赞一下。另外就是这个酒店的位置算是相对非常方便的，走路5分钟到捷运站，而且逛街随便走走就到大安路附近，夜生活也不怕，几乎红火的酒店都在附近，当然跟西门町不一样，这里更是闹中取静。如果下次来台北，还会选择这间酒店。另外提醒下各位，台湾本地人预订酒店似乎有特别优惠。。。嘻嘻
