We were given a perhaps larger than usual room - maybe because we were staying 4 nights. Everything was fine; the room, the view were great. Everyone was very helpful.We had a free breakfast after becoming priortiy club members. Otherwise I would say the buffet was pricey but maybe not considering we were in Washington DC

We arrived to find out that the staff had upgraded our room, due to a glitch in the reservation system. They were very helpful and accommodating. The view was great. Convenient location in Arlington. Loved the free parking...very rare in that area. Would return to this hotel for sure!

This HI was $50-$100 cheaper than fancier hotels in the neighborhood or in DC proper and for the price it was a good value. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and even feature 2 sinks (one in the bathroom, one in the entry) which makes getting ready easier for more than 1 guest. The hotel lacks little extras like in-room coffee makers or free lobby […] coffee. Room service is available and not too expensive- I paid $12 for a crab cake sandwich in fries ($16 with tax and delivery fee). Employees are rather unfriendly and definitely don't make an effort to make you feel welcome. Another problem with the hotel is the location- although it's very convenient to the Metro, a lot of the food establishments in the area close up on the weekends. Despite having 4 elevators, I often had to wait several minutes for an elevator, possibly because the hotel was hosting a pageant on its 2nd floor and most of the other guests were part of a senior citizen bus tour-- very slow to get on and off the elevator. Had a great view of the Potomac River and Georgetown from our windows. Very fair room rates. The Metro Station is only 2 blocks from the hotel, making easy access to Wash., D.C. Only concern was the constant airplane noise from flights landing at nearby Reagan Airport.

Blood-stain on the inner curtain combined with middle-of-the-night fit of noisiness from the ventilation system resulted in less comfort than usual. This hotel is normally super, and has both a very convenient location and a great, recently upgraded exercise room.

The hotel is located in convenient location and free parking was great. It was easy to get into G'town area and also national mall. There is also McDonalds, Starbucks and Safeway in walking distance.

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They were very professional and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We were especially impressed with Vino and Hussein in the roof top restaurant. They went above and beyond to make our dining experiences very enjoyable and memorable. We will, hopefully, visit again in the near future.

The hotel was undergoing renovations during our visit, and while it impacted the the appearance, it was not disruptive. In general, the hotel was dated, so the renovations are necessary, and will hopefully only improve the hotel. Well, let me start with the frowning face at the customer service. She didn't even crack a smile..I requested a king size bed, I go there, they are having constructions, but don't worry " they gave me a coupon for free coffee" so instead I get double bed. When I expressed my connivance, she simple said " oh well, we have to give you what ever we have"...I […] hate the word "whatever, because I am not " whatever". So anyway, I kindly took the keys and went up with my wife upstairs. I want a get away, instead I get these tiny uncomfortable beds....so we decided not to spend the night, so we left about an hour from checking in. This is my second time here, and I have to say that for the value it cannot be beat. It is a short walk (~2 Blocks) to the Rosslyn Metro which will place you in any of the main areas of DC within a 30 minute ride. The times I have stayed here, there has been free parking so it just suited me and my Fiance to take in all of DC. The only things I found that were in err, was that on my floor that I was staying at the vending machine was sold out of water and diet cola, which I had to take the elevator one floor down to get a diet cola since that machine was also out of water. The floor we were also on did have a strange smell which by the second day we were there seemed to have seeped into our room. But it was not a repugnant smell that would've made me change my room. Great location! In DC being a tourist, hotel was located close to the metro, super easy to use and get around. Neighborhood was clean and safe, onsite parking was great. I am nowhere near being rich, so I only have a small travel budget to work with. When traveling, I'm pretty picky on where I stay. Usually, my concerns are cleanliness, type of neighborhood, hotel security, parking, etc. This place is now on my trustworthy list for the DC area. Add those to the fact that it is close to the metro, which is 5-10 minutes from all the DC sights and you find one place you will be glad to go to. The rooftop restaurant is a bit pricey, and the view of Georgetown isn't as great as advertised, but there is a coffee shop on the lower levels that more than compensates for that. When we got there, they had given up our king bed and gave my girlfriend and I 2 double beds. The people were jerks that checked me in and the room was so grimmy. The bathroom looks dirty and doesn't look or feel like a luxury hotel at all. Also it's extremely loud with a lot of drunk kids running around. We were IMPRESSED !! Usually we stay in Crystal City when we come up for getaway weekends as a family. After seeing this hotel on a past visit of exploring DC we decided to stay here this time. Staff excellent. Not able to obtain all tv c hannels and a technician sent up quickly who fixed the problem. I needed a small frig and one was brought up within an hour. When I showed my Holiday Inn membership, I received some restaurant benefits. I recommend signing up for the membership. Staff very helpful and went out of their way.
