The location is ideal: within a short distance of the hotel, there are shops, cafes, and a lovely fountain. That's where the good news stops. The drive into the hotel (parking lot) demonstrates the overall care for this property: rutty at best. I gave the front desk gentlemen my name 5 times -- needed to spell it four. It was as if he wasn't listening […] to me. He wasn't. My room had three of the four lights unplugged. The clock radio was similarly unplugged and looked as if it hadn't been dusted in months. Despite the stuffiness of the room, I had to turn off the air conditioning during the night because it sounded like an aircraft carrier taking off. With the extremely low Hotels.com price, I wasn't expecting too much from this Days Inn - but was pleasantly surprised. Snack breakfast was just that, nothing more -- but just what this harried traveler needed. "HORRIBLE STAY AT DAYS INN"
When checking in to my room there was old foodin my fridge and my microwave was dirty. I told the staff. The apologized but did nothing. Had a pleasant first night otherwise. Left in the morning for business and returned atfer working a 14 hr day, heated dinner in my dirty microwave and satdown to eat it when I was greeted by a HUGE roach crawing up […] the curtains! I freaked. I told a woman at the desk and she came in, scooped up the bug and left with it. Her attitute was clear that she was used to doing so. The woman offered me a different room but I had ALOT of gear and needed to be up in 6 hours for another long day so I declined. I slept very poorly worrying about the bugs. In the morning I found a squished one by the backside of the heater. I left and worked my saturday and when I came home that night at about 10pm and went to use the bathroom only to discover that the room above me had flooded thier bathrrom and mine was now covered in funy brown water. I ouldnt even shower! I again told the staff. Thier answer for me was that they no longer had a room to switch me too but they could arrange for me to shower in another room in the morning if I wanted.
