Found all staff to be very friendly and helpful.
"Good place to stay at... if you don't need WiFi"Reviewed by Karen of "Edmonton" on Jan 30, 2012
Hotel is close to boutique shops and restaurants. The front desk catered to my requests without any problem, such as a room with a city view (facing Robson street - don't request this if you like having your window open while you sleep). Enjoyed the heated floor in the bathroom. I did not use the parking facility, but it's right beside the hotel. Tip: if you want to use the hotel's internet, you have to bring a small laptop that has a internet port. I'd stay in this hotel when I come back to Vancouver.
"Super 8 in Langley"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 30, 2012
if you don't mind frequent trains passing by, (tracks across the street from hotel front door) this was a really nice place to stay. Beds very comfortable, rooms very clean.

"sandman vancouver city centre"Reviewed by Derek of "Vancouver Isalnd" on Jan 30, 2012
Good hotel for the price; convenient for all the the places we wanted to go in downtown Vancouver. Our request for a room change was dealt with efficiently and courteously. Only negative was the high level of late night street noise; the windows in our 8th floor room didn't provide much sound insulation. Would stay there again - with ear plugs.

Diva at the Met - The hotel's award-winning restaurant has a 600-entry wine list. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it specializes in contemporary Canadian cuisine using fresh, seasonal regional ingredients. Longtime menu favorites include wild sockeye salmon, smoked Alaskan sablefish, and cinnamon-smoked duck. Decor is elegant—marble and original art abound—but guests are welcome to come as they are.
In addition to its own health and recreation facilities, which include a fitness center and a 40-foot indoor pool and spa, hotel staff can arrange excursions to some of the region's finest golf courses, including Westwood Plateau and Furry Creek on the Sea to Sky Highway. Guests can practice their putts on the hotel's three-hole outdoor putting green, and the concierge can arrange for bike rentals. The start of the Vancouver seawall, a 19-km (12-mile) paved pedestrian pathway, is four blocks from the hotel.

"Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver - Fabulous"
Terrific, spacious rooms, very welcoming
"Met doesn't live up to the hype."
Rooms are "average"- TV's are old school. Room that was billed as "luxury" wasn't any different than a "Quality Inn". Which is FINE if you're paying Quality Inn prices. I did not! Staff is nice!
"Excellent for business"
The Met is a no nonsense hotel that is great for business travel. Free wi-fi, good work-out facilities and affordable rates make this my go to stop for my frequent trips to Vancouver. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms updated. The concierge is trustworthy, as I left my macbook in my room and called from the airport. It was delivered via Fed-Ex […] the next am. The hawksworth restaurant at the Georgia Hotel next door is great for a meal and cocktail if you have time. The bartenders are fantastic. The conference center and pacific place are very close and the running paths are within walking (running) distance. Read more
Close to all downtown amenities and must sees. Hotel employees are very friendly and accommodating. Parking is expensive.

"Metropolitan in Vancouver excellent location"
Friendly and helpful staff. Lobby was decorated for Christmas, nice. Televisions need an upgrade as well as program choices. Workout area is decent and steamroom is great.
Very well located and excellent value for money
"loved the robe"
i was pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed my stay at the Met. The room was small and cozy, with contemporary decor. The bathroom was well stocked with amenities. The robe was very luxurious and a nice touch. I usually bring my own conditioner from home as the hotel supplies are typically substandard. I did find however, that the quality of their […] washroom amenities was higher than usual. The parking was a bit expensive even for a downtown hotel. would however recommend this hotel. Read more

"Good location"
Traditional hotel quality, clean and nice bed. Don't like bathrooms where I can see myself on toilet in mirror. This one had even side view. Shower was good and clean
"Metropolitan in Vancouver"
Everything was awesome... Except when they rang the doorbell and than opened the door when we were sleeping to see if everything was ok.. we were having a nap around 3:30 in the afternoon..

"Metropolitan Hotel, Vancouver BC Aug 30-Sept 01/11"
Well situated near Robson and Granville. Management was very friendly and helpful to get the heat turned on. Generally clean.Spacious bathroom; some mildew in shower stall. Mattresses should be replaced. we were uncomfortable. Pillows were overly large and firm. Had to request extra blanket. We had narrow twin beds, We do not plan to return.

"Hotel Met in Dwntwn Vancouver"
Great boutique hotel, friendly and helpful hotel staff. Our room was small, but had a fantastic (and big) bathroom. Very clean, and lots of place to put your things - well organized, small storage spaces. Good location - right in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
"Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver is very well situated"
The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver is a very comfortable, central hotel with helpful, receptive staff. My room was not ready when I arrived - I was early - but reception offered to ring me the moment it was ready in case I required it ahead of normal booking-in time. The room & hotel was clean and appealing with Molton Brown products in the bathro […] oms. Read more
"I gave hotel service a 2 because..."
Although my experience with the staff and service at the hotel was amazing for the most part... upon returning home and emptying my bag, I noticed that nearly $200 of my possessions were missing. Although I do not know for sure whether or not it was stolen by a staff member... but the only time I was parted from my bag was while I left it with the hotel […] bag people while I was out shopping. I think that it is very likely someone with access to the room where the bags are kept went through my bag. After consideration, my boyfriend remembered that he had noticed the bag was open upon their returning it to us. He thought nothing of it at the time of course. Otherwise... the hotel was very clean, and very nice. Our bed was comfy and the blankets were very warm. I would come back, although perhaps next time I will be a bit more careful with my valuables. "In the heart of everything"
This hotel is right in the middle of the action in Vancouver. It is close to shopping, art, transit, restaurants, and outdoor activities. The rooms are well kept, spacious, and comfortable. The exercise facilities seem very nice, though we didn't use them. Business centre offers complimentary printing which came in handy. Our only complaint was that […] we had a room with an adjoining door, and our neighbors had a very loud child who screamed all day and night... because of the adjoining doors, even when closed, the sounds were disturbingly loud in our room. But, the hotel was full so moving wasn't possible. Read more
"Metro in Vancouver"
The location was superb! The room was quiet and very clean. All in all, a fabulous hotel ...
"Overall good experience with some oddities"
The interior of the hotel itself is nice and the staff was friendly. Oddly enough I was a little disappointed with the laundry service (clothes didn't come back quite as clean as I would have liked). The TV wasn't quite the viewing experience I would have liked either (small and shoved in a corner). Also, if you're not up for 5-star french cuisine, […] good luck finding something to eat around the hotel. It's more of a pain than you think. Read more
"Metropolitan Hotel Downtown Vancouver"
Great location, this hotel is within walking distance of virtually everything, water taxis, shopping, restaurants, gas town etc etc. the staff are friendly and very helpful. We were originally uncertain about booking in the downtown area, but we were pleasantly surprised, as they say location, location, location, together with its value and quality----we […] will be back Read more
"OMG!"
What a great hotel, great location, awesome service, extremely nice high tech, tidy rooms. What can I say? That's what two hundred dollars a night gives you. The location is great! Don't ever take your car out of the parking lot. Beware though, when booking online usually parking is not included and since it's downtown Vancouver it's rather expensive. […] $40 for 24 hours parking, valet parking included. Other than that... WOW! Read more
"FABULOUS"

"Vancouver in comfort and style..."
Metropoiltan Hotel in Vancouver was wonderful. The location was perfect, right across from the Skytrain, across from Pacific Centre and the high street was a short walk away. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and kept very well. The free wifi was a great bonus for the premium price you pay to stay at this hotel. Highly recommended.
"Would definitely stay here again"
We only stayed one night but found the hotel awesome. Very clean, comfortable and ALL staff were amazing!!
"The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver"
This lovely hotel and their charming staff made our one night stay feel like a week! From the beautiful lobby to our huge marble bathroom, the decor is very pleasing to my somewhat overly critical eye. We had a little balcony in our room and it was nice to step out into the fresh air. The location is central to shopping, restaurants and skytrain. But, […] their restaurant Diva is so scrumptious that one does not need to go anywhere else to eat. We live in Vancouver, but go here for a special getaway! Read more
"Wonderful hotel"
We stay at the Met every time we are in Vancouver. The last trip was for my birthday and I had gifts and flowers in our room when we got there. It is a special hotel with a great restaurant. I do wish they had a more substantial room service menu though.
"The Metropolitan in Vancouver"
Great location; smaller room than what was expected but bathroom was large with fantastic soaker tub. The twin bed and pillows were comfortable but for someone over 6 feet, it might not be. Starbucks and 7 eleven are nearby for any late night or early morning meals and the pacific centre is literally across the street. No flat screen TV, but WiFi was […] fast and included with room fee, no extra charge. I would stay there again, but only at discounted rate, I would not pay a full rate. Staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. Read more

"Metropolitan Hotel, Vancouver - highly recommended"
Awesome hotel in the heart of Downtown. Extremely clean. Staff were helpful and accommodating to all our needs. If only the Canucks had won as well, it would have been a dream of a weekend :-)
"Metropolitan Vancouver- Awesome!"
The staff was great and very helpful. We had no idea how to get to our venue, but they helped us out and gave us a map and also recommended other sights. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

"The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver"
The Met is a favourite for us -- very centrally located downtown and fairly easy to access when driving in and out of the downtown core. While kind of pricey, a stay at the Met is a treat -- very comfortable with lots of amenities and an awesome restaurant.
