We booked the Hilton for one specific purpose - room service, since we would be arriving late (between 11pm and Midnight), at each step of the process with hotel employees, we let them know we would be arriving late and wanted room service, we were assured they had room service. Upon arrival into our room, a sticky note on the menu said they stopped […] serving at 10pm. Come on!!!! So strike one. The a/c barely cooled the room - this is Palm Springs and the hot room made the entire night miserable. Strike 2. The final insult was when I checked out the front desk clerk didn't even have the common sense to ask how was your stay nor did he even say thank you. Strike 3. The hotel is obviously old - so they put a few updates intot he room furniture and decor, but the rest of the hotel is old and rundown. I had been told I would have a pool or mountain view - but I got a nice view of the parking lot. Seriously, I've had much better service at Super 8 Motels and Holidy Inn Express - at least there I get a free breakfast. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HILTON AT ALL COSTS! Read more

The p[ool area was undergoing reconstruction so it wasn't very pretty. The pool was open at 7am but no towel services until 10 am. Good location to walk to the downtown area

I can't believe Hilton would allow for this place to use it's name. I've stayed in several other Hiltons, but nothing as bad as this one. I realize that this place is going through remodeling, but it looks like they are trying to converst a motel type of building into a 'Hilton'.

As a frequent visitor to Palm Springs, I selected Hilton at the last moment for a spontaneous weekend trip, and my usual spots (zoso, movie colony) were booked. Hilton is downtown which is great, and their service was warm, friendly and responsive. However, I spent the weekend in an old-fashioned room facing a large parking lot. The lobby is hideous […] and out of date. Hanging by the pool was no treat, as renovations there are desperately necessary, the 'bar' was a sad little spot at the edge of the courtyard, and there is no music or anything remotely enlightening to the atmosphere at all. On a sunny saturday there were 2 families in the pool total, all whom seemed as equally bored as we were. Good place, if you want to set your things down and spend all your time in the city. The hotel was undergoing remodeling and repair while we stayed there. What a mess. Completely missed the mark for a coveted Hilton stay during peak season in PS. Who thought that high season was the best time to do work should rethink that decision.

No writing material in Room. No Paper... No pens. In Room Coffee is not adequate. Beds are soft but very comfortable. Room service ok but staff is not pleasant. Grounds look old and worn.

Rooms are great because all have balconies, and if you can get a mountain view, it's glorious. Bathrooms are perfect, bedroom decor is a bit outdated. Clean room, though, and good service.

Area was convenient, hotel staff was pleasant. Nevertheless, the decor is in desperate need of an update and fumigation needs happen. Finding a roach in my closet freaked me out, impacted my ability to sleep, and made for unpleasant packing. Thankfully the visitor wasn't noticed until the final night of my stay. I brought my husband to Palm Springs as a surprise for his 30th birthday. I didn't want to go to a super crowded, bachelorette packed, hotel and this spot was perfect. There were just enough people at the pool for us to enjoy ourselves and still have space to relax and there weren't too many families with noisy children, so it was great. My husband and I came out here with two friends of ours over labor day weekend and we weren't overly impressed. The jacuzzi jets weren't working, two lights didn't work in our room, you couldn't take floating toys in the pool, couldn't smoke on the balcony of your room (felt like I was a kid staying at my parents house), gum stuck to the ceiling, and […] they charge you $20 per person per night if you have more than 2 adults in the room ...and the kicker: on our last day, as we're packing up we found a huge cockroach in our room. The Hilton was nice, the pool is a salt water pool & there's a bar right on the patio. I reserved a king sized bed when I booked it but didn't get one so that was a let down. Other than that it was an overall good stay.

We loved the place. Very comfortable room and a great location. Good free WIFI. Really striking room decor too. . . an "ahhh!" we walked in. My only quibble is that there was a resort fee tacked on to the reservation we made through hotels.com. We never used the pool or gym facilities, so it was wasted money for us.

Great service, comfortable room. The pool area could have been better kept. There were times when no fresh towels were available, food plates and drink cups were left lying around, and the restroom/shower area was not very clean.

Perfect location for walking downtown Palm Springs for food or shopping. The room was very clean and comfortable. Some of the decor was a bit dated, but well kept. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The pool is pretty big and there was plenty of lounge chairs. The poolside cocktail service was great. They didn't even seem to mind anyone bringing their […] own drinks or food. There wasn't any music, but someone also brought down a stereo, which was nice. The pool did get a little annoying though, because there were a bunch of young boys throwing around a football and more than a few large floating rafts people brought in.
