What a waste of money...This turn of the century hotel will offend. The hallway wreaked and the room smelled of cigarettes and general funk. We were staying for the Cowboys game and were told upon arrival that although we were paying a good sum for the room that we had to pay an additional fortybucks for parking. The owner said that we were welcome […] to stay and not pay for parking but that our vehicle would be towed. The place is way dated and small...did i mention that they charged us fortybucks to park plus the room?!?!? I feel cheated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for her comment regarding the parking fee. Around Stadium, all businesses manage their parking lots during events. As parking is limited at the Stadium, all parking spaces around the Stadium are used. Unmanaged parking lots are quickly filled by visitors and in our case that would cause our guests to be unable to park. Because of the extra costs associated with managing the parking lots - such as insurance, maintenance, added property taxes, annual City license fees and labor costs, all businesses around Stadium have to charge for parking during events. Parking fee is not unusual. Hotels next to Houston Convention Center and Toyota Center (a Sports Venue/Stadium and Concert Venue) charge for parking. Hotel next to Arlington Convention Center also charges for parking. And most, if not all, Hotels on San Antonio's Riverwalk also charge for parking. In fact, there are other examples where Hotels located in close vicinity to venues or attractions that draw lots of visitors charge for parking. Visitors who like to be next to the venue or attraction usually do not mind paying for the convenience. Others on tighter budget do not mind staying further away and having to deal with the traffic. We should point out that those visitors who chose to drive in to the attractions will also end up having to pay for parking as well and sometimes they may be unlucky and find no parking spaces at all. To help deliver value to our guests who need parking, we have a parking package that includes the parking for guests staying two or more consecutive nights around events at the Cowboys Stadium. Finally, we also have regular guests who fly in, take a Taxi, and avoid any parking fee.

Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to comment. We are glad that the guest found our Hotel to be very convenient to Cowboys Stadium. The Hotel has done extensive updating in the guest comfort areas. These areas are less visible but have the most impact on the comfort of our guests. During the last two years, we have replaced all the beds and bed frames with high pillowtop beds and special metal frames that offers extra support. For the comfort of our guest, we also replaced all the carpets and carpet pads, drapes, bed skirts, and bed throws. For the extra sizzling Texas summer weather, we have nearly doubled our cooling capacity by supplementing our air conditioning equipment with state of the art and environmental friendly air conditioning equipment. For the safety of our guests, we have also modernized our elevator equipment and installed all new elevator controller, safeties, pump, and wiring. And our updating is still on-going.

Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for his time. We apologize for his bad experience and we have no record that anyone asked to be moved to another room because of smoke odor around 8/26/12. However, we have alerted our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep cleaning any rooms that have any smoke smell. It is possible that due to limited amount of room, some smokers stayed in a room the night before and decided to smoke even though, it is prohibited to smoke in the room or in the hotel as we are a smoke free facility ever since we replaced all our beds, drapes, bed spreads, carpeting and bed skirts early this summer. We have also notified all front desk clerks of this guest comment and they are taking corrective action to not give the impression this guest received. Our front desk staff receives continual and extensive guest service training and they work hard at taking care of our guests and their needs.
Not a bad hotel but it is in need of some repairs, the door key would not open the door you had to jiggle knob and key card that was in one room . The other room the hair dryer did needed more electrical outlets for phone chargers etc But over all not bad .Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to write his review. We apologize for the mechanical problem. Due to the mechanical nature of some items, breakdowns happen from time to time. If it should happen while you are in the unit, just contact the front desk and they will either have the problem fixed or move you to another room. This guest stayed in our room with two double beds. These rooms along with the room with one double beds have standard number of outlets. The room with two queen beds are equipped with extra outlets. We are glad that overall he has a good stay. We thank this guest for his time.

Not good for the price! Youre paying for location only!Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for taking time to write his review. We work hard to make sure that our hotel is competitively priced compared to similarly located hotel and to deliver value to our guests. There are times during the calendar when the price for Arlington hotels are higher due to high demand for certain special events or ballgames. If price is a concern, try to come during off peak times. To deliver a quality stay, our hotel has recently invested large capital expenditures in the replacement of all beds, bedframes, carpet, carpet padding, drapes, bed skirts, bed throws, new furnitures (in queens & suite), lights (in queens & suite), decorations (in queens & suite), seatings (in queens & suite), and state of art HVAC equipment. We thank this guest for his time.

We came to attend Glenn Beck's "Restoring Love." We really appreciated the fact we were right across the street from Cowboy Stadium. Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for her reply. We are glad this guest appreciated the fact the hotel is right across the street from Cowboys Stadium and she was able to also attend a Texas Rangers game at the Texas Rangers Ballpark within walking distance to the hotel. From time to time, it is possible that the guest from the night before may have smoked in the room even though they were aware of the hotel's -non smoking policy and our housekeeper in the rush of things was unable to remove all the smoking odor. If that is the case when you are here, please just inform our front desk and they will move you to another room. Our hotel regularly deodorize all rooms and also uses ionizer machine to remove smoke odor. Additionally, to minimize smoke odor, all our rooms' carpeting, carpet padding, drapes, and bed throws and bed skirts were all replaced recently. Our staff is happy that this guest found her room to be quite comfortable and her stay to be quite pleasant. We thank this guest for her time.

To deliver good customer service, our staff take regular refresher customer service training. To meet our high standard of cleanliness, all our rooms are disinfected after each use and also during our regular deep cleaning. We thank this guest for his time
We stayed here for the Ranger/Red Sox game. The hotel smelled.strongly of cigarettes even.though it was a non-smoking room. The side entrance door was not locked. Therefore anyone that wanted to could come in the hallways. The room just felt dirty. We didn't go barefoot in the room after my son's feet got filthy from walking across the carpet. The toilet […] was not secured to floor. One wrong move and it tilted. There is a free trolley that will take you to ballpark but we didn't use due to wanting to be there early. Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for her time. We are sorry for her disappointment. During the Ranger/Red Sox games, the hotel was full every day. We have reported this to our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep clean any rooms that have any smoke smell. Our hotel takes security very seriously and have installed 16 security cameras and motion detectors in the hotel. All common areas and parking lot are monitored by our staff 24/7. We are sorry this guest felt the room was dirty. We have reported it to our housekeeping and have rechecked and cleaned all rooms. We were unaware that this guest was uncomfortable in her room as noone had reported any issues during that period of time. Had we known she was uncomfortable, our staff would have offered to reclean the room or moved her to another room and would have offered to find her another hotel if we were unable to satisfy her. We have also reported to engineering to double check all rooms for lose toilets and to resecure them if necessary. It is unfortunate that this guest was unable to take advantage of the trolley as it is free, air conditioned, and will save on parking fee at the Ballpark. The trolley runs every hour and this guest could have taken an earlier trolley or could have even walked to the Ballpark as we are within walking distance.
"Not Luxurious, But Just Fine"
This is not a luxury hotel, but it is a good place to stay, especially for attending events at the Cowboys Stadium just across the street. The staff was pleasant and helpful, though not exceedingly professional. Nothing here is state of the art, but it did the job. I would recommend the hotel with tempered expectations.Genuine Expedia guest review

My first impression was that I had made a mistake. The room looked fairly shabby and uncomfortable, but after WALKING to the Ranger's ballpark I realized that I had made a decent choice. We had two connecting rooms which is very nice for a family with three kids. The beds are very constable. The kids loved the outdoor pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful; if a "problem" accurse they react very promptly to resolve the problem. We loved the waffles on the breakfast buffet, but I would have preferred a little bit more freshness […] otherwise. The trolley service from the hotel to the attractions is great and very comfy. The location of this hotel could not have been better. Right between Dallas and Fort Worth, and within walking distance of the Cowboys Stadium (Unless its 114 degrees there like it was when I was there). We are glad that the guest fond our facility clean as our housekeeping work hard at providing a clean and comfortable stay for our guests. We apologize for guest feeling there was not enough outlets for charger. All our Stadium View rooms have extra outlets for chargers. The rest of the rooms have a standard number of outlet. "Not a good stay"
Will not stay here again. Location is great but rooms are uncomfortable. Breakfast area is very small. Asked for extra blankets at 9pm did not get anything until 11:45pm by then everyone was asleep and we got woken up at almost midnight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for his business and for taking the time to write this review. We apologize for what he experienced. This guest stayed in our room with one double bed and these rooms are smaller. For larger room, we recommend booking our rooms with two Double XL beds or two Queen beds. Our front desk staff would have asked him if he wanted to upgrade his room had he notified our front desk that he was uncomfortable. Our breakfast area is in our lobby and we recommend coming to breakfast early to avoid the crowd. Lastly, our records show that a large group checked in after his request for extra blanket and we are sorry we were not able to deliver the blanket immediately. The staff did follow up and brought him what he had requested after having checked in the large group. We have put in a new procedure to give guest the choice to come down to lobby to pick up any requested items if the front desk gets busy all the sudden and are unable to deliver the requested item right away. We just completed refreshing all our rooms with new pillowtop beds and carpeting and our rooms should be much more comfortable now. We thank this guest for his time.

This hotel is showing its age but the rooms were clean and the staff was great!!!. When we got there we found out that there is a shuttle free of charge that takes you to six flags and picks you up. That saved us $30.00 a day for parking which was a nice plus. This should be put on their website. There was a slight smell due to the age of the building […] that needs to be delt with but for the money and location it is a great place to stay. The most important thing to me is customer service and they have it. The staff was great. Next to the hotel is a small old school diner that was a great place to eat and it was also clean. Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for his business and for taking the time to write this review. We are glad that he found our hotel to be nice. We apologize that the bed wasn't comfortable and for the parking fee which he is surprised of. We just completed installing new pillowtop beds in all rooms and hopefully this guest will find our beds to be more comfortable now. Regarding the parking fee, we work very hard at having all reservation guests notified of our parking fee policy. This parking policy is posted on our websites. Parking is free except during Cowboys games or Special Events at the Cowboys Stadium which is across the street from us. The parking fee changes depending on how much Cowboys Stadium charges and that depends on the type of event being held there. We also have a parking package which will include the parking fee if the guest stays two or more consecutive nights during the special events. We thank this guest for his time.

But come early because our guests are the very hungry type...

Response by Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for his business and for taking the time to write this review. Reading his comment is a treat for our staff who work hard at providing a clean room with fantastic and friendly service. Since our latest upgrading (new pillowtop beds, carpeting, drapes, bed skirts, and bed throws) which was just completed, we are now a smoke free property. Our staffs are human and we make mistakes - many. But because they want to service our guests better, our staffs undergo yearly retraining in customer service and front desk procedures. This is a continual process. Though they never complain about it, we know it is a boring and tedious process but reading just one positive review is immensely rewarding.

We are glad he found our Hotel clean, our staff friendly, our continental breakfast good, and our rate inexpensive. Our rate varies depending on room demand in the Arlington hotel market. We work hard at being competitive with our peers. Generally, the rates in Arlington, Texas are the highest during Cowboys games or during special events at the Cowboys Stadium. The second highest rate would be during summer weekends and when the Rangers are playing well. Followed by summer weekdays. The rates are at the lowest when there is little room demands such as during weekdays in the winter months. We thank this guest for his time.
