I couldn't be more pleased. There was a real team effort quality to the place. They could use a little more help when the restaurant is open, but people were clearly filling lots of different roles and everyone I asked for help of any sort was willing to provide it. The place was spotless. The rooms have blonde hardwood floors, European style floor […] showers which seem to freak out some Americans but its not a big deal. I would suggest providing squeegies for the showers. The building is old and a bit on the improvised side in terms of architecture, but it certain is more structurally sound than most American hotel/motels of similar price point. This was not the location we had requested. It was too far from the City Center. Also, the rate promised by hotels.com was not honored. I would not recommend this chain of hotels based on promises not kept.

We were pleasantly surprised by how conveniently located this hotel was. The metro is right nearby but we didn't even use it. It was a very nice walk to Gamla Stan--the Old Town--if you like to walk which we do. And the bus to Djurgarden was right nearby, but again, we just walked all the way to where the ferry picked up (in the end, probably not worth […] the price to take the ferry though). Anyway, the only complaint about the hotel really was that they did not have blackout blinds to block the light. And it's not the fanciest place, but the location made up for all that. Read more

Excellent service, friendly and helpful. Room very nice, minimalistically decorated, lovely bathroom. Location is not exactly downtown (takes about 25 minutes to walk from central station) but subway station is only about 150 meters away. Neighborhood is quiet but with shops, restaurants and pubs enough. After reading some of the reviews i was a bit apprehensive but had a very pleasant surprise, room was great, ( 109 ) cannot fault it at all , breakfast was an added bonus, bit far out from the main tourist part - probably a 25-30 min walk but lots of restaurants close by . All in all a very good start to our holiday

This is not an hotel for business people. Wifi doesn't work for all laptop. Rooms seem a university room. Shower so tiny with funny smell. Staff are really nice and helpful. It is far from the city center.

We stayed 2 nights in the deluxe room, facing Vallhallenvâgen, my husband complain about a bit of noise during early morning (4-ish), but I sleep like a baby on their very comfortable bed. Tasteful decó, big room, love the build in dark wood closet, lots of good movies on TV (the weather was bad during our visit, thank god for the hotel TV + internet) […] and even the restaurant serves pretty good food at a price slightly cheaper than city centre. No room service though. Breakfast is included, a good spread of selections. Sunday breakfast can be filled to the brink, we have to visit the restaurant twice to secure a seat. Coffee / tea making facility is not available, common to many other Stockholm hotels but a kiosk that sells hot coffee at 10Kr is just down the street. Staff is a bit cold but not a big problem. It's only 200m away from T-metro, and even in the colder late autumn months, we can walk to the city centre in less than 20mins A pleasant down hill walk alongside the Technical high school and a stroll through a park on the right and you'll be in the city centre. I can imagine the walk to be very nice in summer. If I visit Stockholm again in summer, I'd stay at this lovely hotel again. Read more

I'll start by stating that, on this trip, we weren't interested in a romantic or cosy place or one with a large number of 'add-on' facilities. The Elite provided a spacious, clean and comfortable room at a reasonable rate. Beds were comfortable and had good reading light (something surprisingly often lacking) provided. The bathroom (only has a shower) […] was well-maintained, sensibly laid out and well-lit, while the shower supplied good flow and temperature control. Two drawbacks: 1) there is a major road down below. The rooms are well sound-proofed, but no natural air (although there is a grill to the left of the windows that can be opened - then you realise how noisy the traffic is) 2) no bedside storage drawers. There is a reasonably ample wall-safe and a mini-bar, plus a good-sized television with CNN as one of the available channels. Buffet breakfasts offered plenty of variety and guests could leave very amply fed if they wanted. One can also dine at the hotel in the evening. There is free WiFi and a free terminal in reception for those not hauling a laptop. The staff were uniformly polite, helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. Read more

The hotel is located in a quiet area just outside the centre of town but it is only a hundred metres from the T-bane (subway) and the ride into town is only a few minutes. Clean, modern hotel close to the subway and only 3 stops from the city centre. Very friendly, helpful reception staff who all spoke good English. Only small drawback was that no tea or coffee making facilities were provided in the room, but otherwise it was good value for an expensive city.

The reviews of this hotel have been good and well-deserved. The building was originally a students' dormitory but has been completely kitted out in 2008 to become a smart, well-equipped hotel. The room was of reasonable size, tastefully decorated and kept spotlessly clean. With triple glazing there was no sound from the road outside - what blissfully […] quiet nights we had! We had hot weather so we were very grateful for the air conditioning, which worked well although the controls were not the easiest to understand. The shower was excellent (no bath) but it suffered from not having a soap dish or receptacle of any sort - an oversight I feel as it was quite annoying not knowing where to put the soap! The only other minor gripe was the duvet was too narrow for the Queen Ann bed (though perhaps this is a custom in Sweden?) Breakfast was very good with a good selection and variety, and hard-working staff to keep the dishes constantly replenished and the tables cleared. Full marks! The hotel itself is easy to find being 100-200 metres from a metro station. If you get a bus-route map from Central Station and a travel card you will be able to get around the city very easily from here. The public transport system is excellent and easy to use, and it makes the stay more enjoyable and interesting. Read more
