Nice staff. Uncomfortable room with dirty feeling in room and bathroom. Toilet had problems. Old tube tv. Free breakfast was ok. Would rather stay somewhere nicer.

Great pet-friendly atmosphere at a price-point that is do-able. Other hotels in the West Asheville area that accepted pets were either priced insanely or had dreadful reviews. We stayed three nights and would do so again.

The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets very thin. There was paper on the bathroom floor and one of the cups, though wrapped in paper, had been used. The TV color was very poor and it rattled when you walked past it. Door handles were loose.

I have just a few complaints about the hotel. Upon waking up on Saturday morning and getting a shower, the water was barely hot enough for a comfortable shower. I basically had to take a very cool shower. Later in the day on Saturday, when I got back to my room, I had my hands full with a couple things i purchased, along with my dinner for the night. […] I got to the door, on the third floor, and my key would not work. I saw an employee of the hotel and she tried her two master keys and neither worked. In fact, she told me how she had to keep getting her keys reset. So, I had to walked back down to my car and put the things back in it and walk to the front desk to get my key reset. I mentioned to the girl at the front desk about what the other employee said about having to have her keys reset, and the front dest person said that was not true. I said to her that she tried her keys on my door and neither one worked. Then walked back to the car, got my things and walked back up the stairs to my room. This was just a real inconvenience since I had food that was getting cold. Then when I woke on Sunday morning and was taking a shower, again there was an issue, but this time, the water would go from almost scalding hot to barely warm. It was just extrememly annoying. The wall moved. I opened the door and the wall moved. I swear. VERY loud (you could hear anyone talk three rooms away) but the worst thing was the water in the shower... it got hot, it got cold, and you couldn't predict when it would happen. It literally was hot enough to scald and cold enough to chill... The room's heater STANK of hair (probably the […] first time it had been used since last season) and mostly just cycled the fan without engaging either the cooling compressor or heating coils, the "complimentary supper" and "complimentary breakfast" were all but inedible... in short, sleeping in the car would have been preferable. I am very picky about hotel cleanliness and chose to stay here based on price when in NC for a wedding in Asheville area. The price was very reasonable, which led me to believe the accomodations would leave much to be desired. I was impressed by how clean the room was. It smelled clean and looked clean. Rugs appeared to be clean. Bathroom was clean […] and sink area was very tidy. Heater in the room worked very well and also blocked out excess noise from some louder guests next door. Climate control kept room temperature comfortable. One only complaint was that the first morning I went to use the shower and only had lukewarm water. Maybe a lot of other guests were showering at the same time, since the next morning, my water was nice and hot. Breakfast and dinner are served each night in the dining room. Beef stew the first night we were there, then biscuits, sausage gravy, honey buns, bagels, and cereal for breakfast. We only ate two meals at the hotel, so I can't speak to what was served the rest of the nights. Obviously not gourmet, but nice if you're on a budget and not a picky eater. One other small problem was parking. One night my husband and I returned to the hotel after 10pm and there wasn't any parking available in the upper lot. So we had to park in the lower lot which is a significant distance away. Also there was an awful smell outside the hotel each morning. Almost smelled like a rendering plant? It's a days inn. You expect an upper-low class hotel. For a one night stop on a road trip, it suffices. Breakfast was acceptable for free. They offered free dinner too, but we ate elsewhere. Staff was helpful an friendly. Overall a good on night stay.

Wife and I stayed for one night while passing through the area on a motorcycle trip. Motel was a bit older, but clean with very helpful employees. Had a very good hot breakfast. Good value for the price, would stay again.

There were stains on the towels and ants in the beds when we pulled back the covers. Also, they only set up our key cards for one day even though we stayed multiple nights, so we had to go back to the front desk (which is far from the rooms) to have our keys reactivated.

We were on the road, and had just had a less-than-satisfactory experience at a different Days Inn. Had even thought of cancelling this reservation and choosing a different chain (that one was in Lake City, FL...not bad, just far from great). We were VERY pleasantly surprised with this hotel! Stayed in order to save money over downtown Ashville. Sort of between ashville and Cherokee, Tennessee. Hotel was fairly clean although there were ants in our room the first night. The Hotel cleaned and got rid of them but still left dust in several places. Bathroom fixtures worked but were old. Breakfast was good, Eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, cereal, […] milk, juice, but no meat. Soup for dinner. Both measl included in Room. Enjoyed saving money, but would probably stay somewhere nicer next time. THis is a good basic budget hotel if you are only staying for a day or two. When I told the girl of my request, she immediately put us on the first floor. We passed on the complimentary dinner, because we were tired and the restaurant was not connected to hotel rooms. The location of the hotel is 15 miles from the Blueridge Parkway, well when you are 4000-6000 feet up on a mountain, the road (route 151) to the hotel was very steep and winding. We liked this hotel and even stayed two extra days and they were nice enough to charge us the expedia price for the extra days. Staff is very good and very helpful. They have a very nice pool which we enjoyed. They have a complimentary breakfast which consists of cereal muffins ect. no waffles which we enjoy at other Days Inns. The carpet in the room could have been a little cleaner. The ac was cold and the bed was fine. The bath tub could have been a little cleaner. The water pressure was fine.
