The place is a bit run-down. The bed was done 10yrs ago and the room itself was dated by a decade, or two. It is in a good location, that's about all I can say.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
We just spent 5 nights at the Campbell Inn, and after reading some pretty negative reviews, had seriously considered canceling. So we were pleasantly surprised to find a great location, very clean and comfortable room (I wish I could have brought the bed back home!), and plentiful and varied breakfast buffet, which we appreciated very much. The only […] negative I really noticed was the freeway traffic noise. We elected to stay on the second floor, but don't know if that made any difference in the noise level. Next trip to San Jose, we look forward to staying there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"An Old Tired Building but a great location!"
The poor building is screaming out for paint, decorating, and overall updating, but the location is awesome (walk to downtown Campbell, which is awesome, as well as the Pruneyard Shopping Center, and the Los Gatos Creek Trail, which is great for walking, running or biking. They have a free hot buffet breakfast, which is good and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, good price"
While not the lap of luxury, the Campbell Inn was well priced and a reasonably well kept, albeit out of date, hotel. If you can live without a large flat screen tv and on-demand media, then this is a fine hotel to be at.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too far gone"
We have stayed at the Campbell Inn every year while visiting family for the past several years. We have seen it deteriorate due to deferred maintenance and lack of upgrades. Unfortunately, this once upscale motel has gone past the point of no return. Not only has the condition worsened but the prices have gone up. The final factor for us was their […] new no pet policy. They required a sworn statement that we would not bring our pet into the room under penalty of a stiff additional cleaning fee. As if the rug had really been cleaned in the past several years. Good bye Campbell Inn. We will look elsewhere for a motel that cares about its clientele's needs. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Didn't feel comfortable"
The hotel was located in a bit of a strange place and was not well maintained; we almost checked out but remained only due to the high rate we had paid. It was not comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Customer service & hotel needs work"
Front desk has a definite attitude . . . as if they wish they were somewhere else. Your hotel policy of requiring my drivers license number is totally unacceptable and I refused to provide it. The explanation given was not coherent (needed to identify my vehicle). I told them that my vehicle license plate numbers would accomplish that purpose . . . […] and provided it. The hotel is old and needs to be upgraded. The A/C heater selection cannot be changed . . . set at 88 degrees! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Campbell Inn needs to be freshened up. Stained towels, antique bed covers, sheets don't fit the bed, bad faucets. Needs paint. But the breakfast is greatGenuine Hotels.com guest review

OK but... bed was pretty hard, front desk staff lackadaisical, analog crt tv, broken shower headGenuine Expedia guest review
"Showing it's age"
Over the years the building, rooms, and grounds have slowly began to show the lack of quality maintenance. This lack of maintenance has aloud the Inn to become a bit of a dump.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"We can recommend"
It took two calls to get extra hand towels and Kleenex. Old hotel and while rooms were updated and looked nice, the bathroom sink fixture needs replacing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classic old-school hotel/motel - great town too!"
Campbell Inn will take you back a few years to the days of unbranded, locally owned and cared for hotels/motels. If that's what you like, you'll like this. If not, maybe not. Good clean rooms and great location. Campbell is a wonderful town in the middle of the sprawl of San Jose area, and will make you glad you found it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Tied but functional"
This wasn't my first choice by a long way so it would be unfair to be overly negative. While the hotel feels tied and in need of a general overhaul, it was clean and tidy and generally reasonable for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay. We enjoyed the breakfasts."
We enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again on our next trip to San Jose.Genuine Expedia guest review
"clean but tired"
Decent location, room was clean but really dated and not very well maintained.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pictures did not match up with the condition of the facility, needs a complete overhaul. Pool was out of commission and the breakfast was poor, orange juice was a strange color.Would not stay there again. TV's all needs replacingGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Place to Stay."
I had never stayed there. Loved the location, staff was friendly and smiled to greet you. Room was comfortable, neat and clean. Will I stay there again? YES!Genuine Expedia guest review
I would never stay at this hotel again. We did not have a mattress pad on our bed. The sheets were of poor quality. The T.V. remote didn't work. They did bring us a new one which worked. The Do Not Disturb sign was missing. I had to make my own. The T. V. was old and the reception was horrible.. Not clear at all.It wasn't a flat screen. The breakfast […] was good.It was close to downtown Campbell, whic is a cute little town, but this hotel needs some work. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Smelly & Dangerous"
Room looked ok but smelled like old smoke and my clothes smelled when I left. One night scary people hung out in front of my window smoking and yelling with the room next door. Front desk service was good, breakfast was fine but lots of construction workers and people hanging outside their rooms smoking & drinking. Not recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good find - in great neighborhood"
We need a week away from our home, and this hotel worked out very well, especially the very nice breakfast buffet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The one factor in favor of this hotel is that it's about a block from The Pruneyard, so you can walk there for a meal. Otherwise, the entire area is devoid of any character or entertainment. The motel itself is rather dated, and showing signs of wear and tear. On the plus side, it's about 20 minutes from downtown San Jose, even in traffic. If all you […] need is a place to crash at night, it's a good choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"hotel close to San Jose"
We have been staying at this hotel for 10 years and it is in bad need of a modernization. They still have ancient TV's that work only sporadically. Housekeeping is not great - one day our room wasn't cleaned at all. The breakfast buffet is good but, like other things, not as good as the past.Genuine Expedia guest review
"this hotel is a dump!!"
the hotel is very old and not well kept. The worst was the noise all day and night. The staff running carts up and down the hall all day and the freeyway right next to the hotel all night. Pool was never cleaned and had dirt all the time. Spa was very dirty. The spray that is used in the room was over powering, and the shower curtin was 2 inchs too […] short so water was all over the floor everytime the shower was used. The room was not cleaned until after 4pm so we had no clewan towels all day. There is no easy way to get to the freeway on and off ramps, had to to make a U turn and drive about 2 miles. We called it "Hotel CA " where you check in but never get out! Food was Good but the same every day. Lots of good eating places all around. Campbell is a very small town, but nice. "Niice older style motel..but"
Nice older style motel. Good breakfast buffet. Nice staff. Close to downtown Campbell and the Pruneyard. However it is getting long in the tooth and the rooms need remodeling. For example the handles were missing on some of the drawers and the chairs were stained. Also, smoking is allowed. My room did not have any odor of smoke but if is allowed in […] the motel. Summary, nice location but need upgrades to the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok, nothing special"
Stayed one night for a business trip. Hotel is close to restuarants / freeway so very conveniant. Hotel is old and tired, some refurbishment has been done but not enough. Room was big, bathroom was massive although there was no bath and half of the room was a shower (literaly 6ft x 4ft) although an upstairs room so an easy access room?? Pillows on the […] bed were in disarray and looked to may have been used or just not ironed and placed back on the bed correctly. No towels in the room but front desk delivered some quickly on request. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty (hot and cold) but the room was hot and smelled of cooking therefore uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the food. Room was quiet although I always wear earplugs when in hotels so this helped. I paid approx $140 which for the area is pretty good, another $40 gets you into La Quinta / Best Western where the rooms are better but I'd stay here again purely to save money and for the convienance to work Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel in Campbell, CA"
We have stayed at the Campbell Inn a couple of times while visiting our son that lives a few blocks away. It's convenient for us and within walking distance to town and restaurants. There is also a nice walking trail along the hotel. We found the rooms very quiet and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good location, old hotel needs update"
everything in the room was old and the rug was worn and damaged in spots. there were stains on the rug and cigarette burns on the bed cover. there was coffee and a coffee maker but no creme. bed was old and not so comfortable. room felt dirty and tub was peeling. will not go back despite it's great proximity to village of Campbell.Genuine Expedia guest review
"I'll Be Back!!!"
The staff was great, the rooms were clean, comfortable a very reasonable priced. The free breakfast was not just cereal, breads and fruit. They served all that plus eggs, bacon, potatoes and pancakes. Its located right next to the freeway but you cant even hear it. I will be back here next we are in town.Genuine Expedia guest review

Hotel staff very friendly, responsive to questions and concerns. There was an issue with my reservation and they quickly resolved problem by offering an upgrade on our room. "One week stay at Cambell Inn"
Booked this hotel for a week (July 19-26) and was a little surprised that the rooms were a lot smaller than what I expected - we had 2 double beds which seemed smaller - one person on the bed is fine but if you have two in a bed makes it quite tight. They served a hot breakfast each morning which was good - the only thing is they don't change anything. […] When you're there for more than a few days it gets old when it's the same breakfast each morning - (scrambled eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Potatoes and Pancakes). It would have been nice if they mixed it up a bit and did waffles, french toast or something else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A good choice for the money."
We had some of the goofiest housecleaning I have ever experienced. On different days our sink wasn't cleaned, the dirty glasses weren't replaced, the glasses were replaced without a cover, the ice bucket wasn't emptied of water from the previous night, the plastic bag for ice wasn't replaced. Carpet wasn't vacuumed.Genuine Expedia guest review
