The hotel exceeded our expectations for the rate we paid. The decor was interesting...different, but tasteful. There was a sewer gas odor on the first night, but we were moved quickly and the rest of our stay was good.

I loved my stay at Domain Hotel. Justin on the Staff was very friendly. The hotel had modern decor, a super comfortable bed, and a beautiful lobby. It was nice, clean and quiet. Everything was perfect. I had no idea there was such a lovely hotel on El Camino Real. I hope to come back to this hotel again.

The friendliness and professionalism of the staff make up for any shortcomings. The restaurant and bar are quite good and the Internet availability is great throughout the hotel. The one issue is that it's an old building and sometimes shows it's age.

We were very pleased with the hotel EXCEPT that when we checked in the first room was extremely cold; we were moved ( and given free breakfast for the inconvenience) to another room; heater worked but all night it kicked on and off and was noisy. Staff was very accomodating to my husband's disability needs.

Excellent surprise for the money. Room was clean and modern. Nice little touches like their choice of furniture. There's even a sleep number bed. The lobby is impressive looking. We enjoyed it despite the fact we paid more for breakfast when booking and they were not going to honor it. Tried to charge us double what Denny's would have charged and it was a very simple buffet with no service until they wanted to give us the bill. We argued and they took off the charges. Did not get the free breakfast I booked, however our friends did that booked at same time.. We arrived at 2 when walking to our room there were various dishes still sitting outside rooms until at least 6pm!..did not like the fact as a registered guest we all got frisked by renta cops...if we wanted to go out and have a smoke we had to get frisked again […] to come back in!! Try and get a superior king on the third floor with french doors out to a small deck. Stay away from the interior rooms which face a blank wall three feet away. Some of the interior rooms face an atrium -- still not that good. Excellent underground parking garage and a lot of exterior parking.

Very unprofessional receptionist. Started arguing and accusing we were not telling the truth. Next morning after issue had been solved the receptionist started very disrespectfully laughing when we came to the check-put. Although hotel is in good condition this behavior is unexpectable - never again.

The Domain was a great experience overall. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself needs a little TLC, as small features have been painted over and not really permanently addressed, but these are very small in comparison.

Staff was very nice; however there was trouble with room keys not working even after 3 re key attempts. No toilet tissue in room. Issues over included breakfast. Staff was under the impression that it was not included.Overall a nice hotel, but could use some improvements in management. I would try this hotel again

The hotel is very beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Are first room had a bed that was hard as a rock. I told the front desk and they switched us to a room with a sleep number bed. It was a better night sleep then I get at home. I will definitely be staying at this hotel whenever we come into town.

This hotel is okay, but not as nice as it looks on the website. I think it was a Motel 6 or something in the past that was just upgraded to look 'fancier.' There was no air in our room so it was super stuffy! When I turned on the fan it was so loud we couldn't hear the TV without blasting it. Also, our room faced the courtyard below and it felt really […] claustrophobic. I would request a room with an actual window. We heard all the kitchen noise and music being pumped out in the lobby most of the night. This area of town isn't the nicest either. It's alot of suburban type strip malls and in a 'little India' area. Lots of Indian food if that is what you like. There was a huge Indian market across the street from the hotel. There was no free continental breakfast, you had to pay use the computers in the office area, and the TV channel selection was the worst I've ever had! All it had was CNN and sports channels for the most part. The whole hotel seemed geared for single computer nerd guys. I would not recommend families stay here or couples- it was not fun or romantic. Heating and air conditioning were hard to work and it took too long to get warm. Got there and the air conditioning was on very hig, so room was very cold on a cool day. That night took over half and hour to get the room warm enough to sleep. Room was kind fo sterile and not very inviting, but beds were comfortable. My wife and I enjoy the joie de vivre hotel concept where older properties are re-imagined around a theme and updated. The Domain is a former Radisson that has been reconfigured around a high tech theme. It is conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley and offers nicely furnished accommodations at a reasonable price. The interior decorating […] is clever and well conceived where surfaces you touch are of high quality including the bed coverings, linens, and hardware. The rooms are quiet and decorated in a pleasing high touch, high tech way that is both inviting and modern. The decorative saying on the wall kept us entertained as we tried to figure out what it was trying to say. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate a group of us who required special consideration for early and late check-in. The lobby was airy, bright and friendlier than most. The only caveat to our stay was the disappointing breakfast buffet at $12. Food selection was the same old scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes that you'd find under any lid of a Sterno heated serving tray in any number of hotel/motels across America. It just didn't meet the expectations set by the rest of the hotel. Outside of that, I recommend the Domain when you're in need of an overnight stay and not a full service hotel that is affordable and feels more upscale than the price would suggest. Read more

This was a nightmare that got worse. Showed up after midnight at check-in after booking and paying in advance several hours earlier only to be told that no two-queen rooms available, but only kings. Two dudes. Who like women. Wasn't ideal! When we asked why there was no two-queen rooms available when we paid for it n advance, we got a "concession" of […] no charge for a roll-away bed. We didn't like that option, so asked the front desk dude to call his sister JDV hotel a mile away to ask for a similar room at similar price. He gave us the number and "encouraged" us to call ourselves. I guess he could not be bothered. We asked again and he went away, then came back and said he did, and to call the sister hotel and we'd be taken care of. So we did, only to be told by that sister hotel that they had no idea what we were talking about and that no one had called ahead on our behalf from Domain. Disturbed, we asked the front desk person to call yet again, and he finally did, but only after a) passing the buck to us to make the initial call, and b) lying about having called when we asked him to a second time. Wow. Wow. Wow. Not exactly great service. Avoid this place like the plague, in my opinion based on experience. Read more
