All of the staff from the manager and desk clerk to the women that keep the free continental breakfast bar stocked make the place a 4+ star hotel. The room was adequate even though the corner-style bathroom vanity was rather dated looking (although having 3 built-in wall mirrors was kind of nice). We were on the I-95 freeway side of the hotel on the […] third floor, and although other reviewers have mentioned about highway noise being a little intrusive, we didn't notice. The free in-room wi-fi was fine; we didn't watch more than about 15 minutes of TV news in the morning so can't comment on the TV or channel selections. The bottom line is that the help and directions we received from the manager and front desk clerk who took an interest in our situation and gave us good directions to get around some I-95 highway construction tie-ups was exemplary. The staff really do make the hotel. (Note: after our first night, we did not receive new bath towels from Housekeeping the next day but one call to the front desk had them delivered in about 10 minutes. We spent multiple days at this hotel. We needed to travel to different parts of Conneticut and New York so it was centrally located for what we needed. Every morning there was a nice breakfast available, the rooms were comfortable and the staff was very kind. I would definately stay there again.

This isn't a typical Hampton Inn ... most are clean, modern and nice. This is dated, old, smells (mostly like cigarettes) and is so close to Interstate 95 that you can count the traffic as you try to sleep.The rooms are gross, the furniture is old ... you feel dirty staying here. STAY AT THE EAST HAVEN, CT LOCATION!

The hotels rooms are a little dated but the room was clean, spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. They have a good free breakfast. The fitness facility is adequate but not a lot of space and the machines are little old.

Nice hotel by several eating places. Room a tad small with no microwave or fridge. The traffic from I95 was distracting so if you sleep light request an even numbered room. Bathroom should be updated. Staff was excellent. Minus the traffic, it was quiet for buisness guests. Would recommend for travelers.

The hotel is located just off the highway which is great for people driving, but not so great when you're trying to sleep at night. I was stuck with a room right next to the highway and had some trouble falling asleep. The amenities were fine and I would go back, but the next time, I would ask for a room away from the highway.

The Breakfast attendant was superior in every respect!!!!! We even mentioned it to the manager, who as it turned out was the district manager.The chiffarobe was too far away from the door. The room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable and those comforters were nice and warm. The only downside was the noise from the highway. Breakfast was amazing my kids went back for seconds. We will be back again.

And the breakfast ladies are so concerned about closing at 10:00 a.m. that starting at 9:30 they keep repeating that they are not cooking or bringing anything else. I thought that was rude. On my last day there were about 30 kids from a sports team and when I went downstairs there was hardly anything left. They did not make exceptions. The room was a bit smaller than a newer Hampton Inn, such as the one in West Haven. It did not have all of the same architectual detailing that makes for a perfect room, like the newer Hampton Inn's. Breckfast area was kind of small as well and was mobbed when I ate. Overall, however, this was still a good choice for value, quality and convenience.

A great experience with Hampton Inn Milford. The complimentary breakfast is a plus, which is as good as a 20-buck breakfast. They also have a brownbag for take out, if you don't have time for breakfast. Their coffee tastes great and 24 hours.

I'm always happy to stay at the Hampton Inn. The staff is above average, of kind and courteous. The only thing I didn't like is the houskeeping staff, put the mop in the toilet to mop the bathroom floor. I got lysol and cleaned the floor myself.
