We wanted a fair price at a hotel with a pool, so we booked at Roosevelt Inn & Suites. The Inn is beautiful, located fairly close to the downtown. Saratoga Springs is an interesting, historical area. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were informed that the pool and spa were 'out of order' and they would not be repaired until the following week, after we had left. The front desk clerk rather rudely informed me that we should 'feel free' to leave and look for another hotel with a pool. She stated she had begun to call people to inform them of this problem - obviously I had not been called. She further informed me that the previous owners did not even allow children! It was late, we were tired, so we chose to stay. I was told I 'could speak to the manager' the next day but the clerk doubted my problem could be resolved since I had already received a 'very good rate'! She advised me to contact hotels.com. On the positive side, one of our rooms was upgraded to a really nice Junior suite, with 2 rooms and a jacuzzi. Our other reservation was a fabulous suite, with a soaking tub, stand alone shower and full kitchen. I chose not to speak with the manager. My only other complaint was the bed in the bigger suite - it really needs a new mattress. We will return to Saratoga Springs and will consider staying at Roosevelt Inn again.

Shuttle to airport and ability to park car for stay was a big plus in choosing this hotel next to Interstate. But what really stood out was the polite, positive interaction and assistance from front desk and shuttle driver ( on 2/19). They went out of their way to assist me in making my connection without hassles and could not have been more courteous.

While this may not technically be a five star hotel, it certainly is in customer service! We checked in at 1AM, tired and hungry and the desk clerk did EVERYTHING in his power to help. He found late night pizza delivery, brought plates, glasses and a corkscrew to our room...all voluntarily and with an offer to do more if he could! That was only the […] beginning! We had a freakish occurrence where we dropped car keys down the elevator shaft. The staff immediately came to our rescue, most pleasantly I might add, and had us on our way in quick fashion. I was very impressed with the hotel. The standard king room was a very good size, with a couch and desk and roll out table. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. This hotel is easy to get to off of the highway and is directly across the street from SUNY Albany. Other than the college and a bunch of other hotels, there didn't seem to be much […] in the immediate area (other than the Dunkin Donuts right next door). The front desk did have information on area attractions, events and restaurants available if you were looking for things to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the bistro in the lobby, and enjoyed that you could chose to stay and eat there or bring it all back to your room. The hotel was A LOT nice than I expected. The staff was helpful and courteous, and the room was nicely designed. My only "gripe" was the length of the pool. It only went to 4 feet deep and wasn't much in terms of length. Definitely worth the money paid!

This is a very good new hotel with a convenient location to SUNY Albany. This hotel is geared primarily to business travelers or parents of SUNY Albany students. The Courtyard was close to a variety of stores and services. I was there to move my son into Union College and while it was not the closest location, the hotel was excellent. Close to Albany AP and the area was easily negotiated with a rental car. Hotel personnel were exceptional.

We arrived after a 10 hour trip at our hotel to find the entire first floor under construction. There was a make shift desk to check in. There were hazards everywhere. This was a issue because we had an 80 year old with us who we needed to watch so that she did not fall. Our room that hotel.com said would sleep 5... did not. While we did have a king […] size bed, the pull out couch was a three quarter bed size. We had to book an additional room for our family of 5. When we returned from a wedding that night, the manager had given someone else the key to our room for the night. Luckily, the person who he gave the key to was our nephew! Our nephew had to carry his three boys back downstairs (after a long trip) to explain that there was someone already in the room! At 11:30 pm there was a knock at our door. It was the night manager. He wanted to know who was staying in our room. Apparently, there had been more than one mix up that evening and he did not know who was in which rooms. The signs in the hotel to direct people to get to the breakfast area, the business center etc. were misleading at best.The pool was closed. The people at the desk were pleasant but very confused as to how to hand out keys. It was at best, a mess!!!! There must be a better way to redo a hotel lobby and carry on business besides tearing it all up at one time! Read more

Great hotel with comfort and cleanliness top priority. The mattress and comforter were so luscious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the hot tub too!
