Quick check-in and check-out. Nice layout of breakfast area and business center. Room was very clean. We brought swimsuits for hot tub and pool, found that it was a little too cool outside to take advantage of it. Not to worry there is so much to see and do in Las Vegas. The front desk folks were OK, probably not all that well trained as they had inconsistent approaches to similar issues but that happens. Once inside the rooms, they were relatively clean but the tub was a 70s era jacuzzi tub which probably had the white finish worn down to near nothing and so it appeared far dirtier than it probably was. The internet connection was good, the breakfast was so so but adequate. The hotel caters to pets and in the back parking lot their remnants are everywhere, but this speaks more about the guests than the hotel. From the second floor we watched what appeared to be two working girls fighting in a scene worthy of Dr. Phil and there seems to be a guy living in the parking lot with two pitbulls. The price was more than a number of casinos and we thought it would be more of a business hotel than it turned out, certainly lots of characters lurking about and while I travel worldwide year round, unpacking my vehicle at 11:00 PM in the back parking lot I did not feel safe as there were a couple of characters nearby. "Will pay a little extra and try to find something"
First of all, not much parking in garage. As you take the elevator in the garage, you have to take your luggage down stairs, though no many. We were on the 2nd floor , and the ice machine was on the 1st floor! The breakfast was not that great, as the only hot food was a waffle maker and it always seemed to be empty and it was slow to be refilled. Single elevator for much of the building caused some delays that showed I am not always a patient person. The shuttle bus not always available and caused a long delay while waiting at airport when I first arrived or was not available to go to Harrah's. The rest was good. I was getting a bride prepped for her wedding and arrived in town hours ahead of check-in...the nice thing was that they let us check-in without prorating the room for the extra time. This hotel was really good. It is nice to get a way from all the hustle from the strip. The hotel in person came nothing close to the pictures and reviews online. The stay at this hotel was absolutely horrible!! I would never stay here again. My room was supposedly a non-smoking room, but it smelled like stale smoke. The tub/shower had long and short hair everywhere and the shower curtains were so old they smelled like spoiled milk and […] mildew. The staff was nice, but their hospitality was not enough to compensate for the poor, less than acceptable conditions of the hotel. Another negative at this hotel was the parking. There's simply not enough. The hotel is always packed and the way it's structured, if you don't arrive early then you'll be parking way in the back or on the side where there aren't many doors, neither of which seems too safe. Also, the refrigerator in my room did not work. The only positives were the hotel's great location, the friendly staff, and the bed being comfortable. While Im sure that most if not almost all of your guests recieve excellent service from your staff. Ours was less than a stellar effort : The room was in ill repair ( A.C.) not only not working but flushing water on the floor. When reported. The staff seemed bother by the news. A request to be moved to another room was met with "you'll havta wait". […] when a maitenence person did show up the most professional person we met on your staff, and saw the problem he immediatly reccomended a move. what he did not see was the socks and towels we had to ring water out of. Returning to the front desk our room change request was recieved a little better. We asked for a room with( 2 two beds ) and the desk person said she had one right next door to the other one . I guess she thought the move would be easier if it was short. To our disappointment it had one bed. Yet another example of not being heard, or just not caring, or worse being ignored. La Quinta enjoy's an excellent reputation around this country and I'm sure it is deserved, however I doubt we will stay with you again. This is not meant as an insult we simply had a bad experience and don't want to have another. We went a day early and booked a double bed smoking room and was given a non smoking room after they changed our room cause it wasn't cleaned yet at check in. When we tried to get the room changed the desk clerk was very rude to us. We also seen her be rude to others as well. We also booked double beds for the week and ended up getting a one bed room […] but at least it was smoking. We had paid for a double bed room and was not compensated for the difference. When a person smokes they don't want to get up in the middle of the night and get dressed just to go outside to smoke so the first day was ruined. They guaranteed us a smoking room when I booked it cause I plainly said I didn't want it if it was not. Not sure if I would stay there again after the way we were treated the first night. we brought our puppy without checking with our timeshare rules and they turned us away. We saved for months for the trip and returning to Tx. was not an option. Our flight arrangements were for 7 days. We went to the internet and found a hotel to accept pets. we were in quite a fix!! It was 10 pm. We found La Quinta and checked in. "Great place to stay if you are traveling with pets"
My family and I were moving from Ga. to California. WE moved ourselves so we had a moving van with a car hauler and 2 dogs... Plus an extra vehicle. We stayed in La Quinta's all the way. We decided to spend two nights in Vegas so we could have a rest day. I have stayed in casino's on the strip and other hotels off the strip before. But we were limited […] with having two dogs this time around. I chose the La Quinta for their pet friendly policy. I was NOT disappointed. The staff was very nice on arrival. They were very accommodating with my moving van & trailer, two dogs and 2nd car. The rooms were clean and the A/C worked perfect in the hot Vegas heat (114 high/100 low). Yes the hotel is about 3 blocks east of the strip, but it was nothing to hop in the car and drive to a Casino, park and walk the strip.
