it was a great hotel nicely decorated clean awesome location. I would love to give hojo a perfect score however the cleaning lady forgot to put the towels in the room so I took a shower and my wife had to call for towels they arrived very quickly however. but I would stay there again and I would recommend it to friends can't beat the price

Pleasantly surprised!!! Great job on the renovation of an older hotel. I would stay at this Howard Johnson again. The location is great to walk to several areas of Old Town Scottsdale. The breakfast was more than I expected and the variety and freshness was great. Front desk personnel were very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.

They have recently remodeled and updated their rooms, lobby, pool, etc. Very clean. The reception desk and manager were very friendly, personable, helpful and accommodating. I would stay here again.

All in all, my stay was good; however, my major complaint was the extremely slow and intermittent internet wifi service. Although there were three networks showing up, the signal strengths did not match the connectivity to any of them when working. We were pleasantly surprised by the Howard Johnson Motel in Old Town Scottsdale! We booked on a limb, but were super satisfied with the outcome. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and continental breakfast included. Staff were warm and welcoming, and price was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Perfectly adequate, clean and quiet. Can't beat the location near Old Town, restaurants, etc. RATES are amazingly low--which allowed us to eat out more. This place is a bargain...not in contention with up-scale places, so don't expect the la-dee-da extras! We will certainly be back---and eat at Frank & Lupe's !

During the mid-evening hours the hotel was noisy. Sounds conveyed from room to room are showers and tubs, heavy footsteps from the second floor, children next door. It quieted about 11 pm. I appreciated the short walk to neighborhood restaurants and shops.

The location of this hotel is fantastic - very close to everything to do in Old Town Scottsdale. However, it is a little loud (they even leave ear plugs in the night table) and the hotel is run down. The remodel on this 'Inn" is nice;; however, can tell it has been remodeled because the bathroom is still old. Pillows were terrible. Felt like sleeping on bricks.
