"Location near Big Bus Tour Stop"
We stayed for three nights (didn't make it in time for the wine reception the first night :( but enjoyed the next two. Good local BC wines. We were able to walk to great restaurants on Davie street (three blocks) and also walked all the way downtown to Gastown (20 minutes at the most). The staff were very pleasant and most helpful when it came time […] to hold our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. The restaurant was very clean and well managed, servers excellent and the food very good, although we ate breakfasts only. The eggs and sausages were especially good, but there was no toast, just pastries, croissants, etc. Lots of fresh fruit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Front desk staff was EXTREMELY friendly and very helpful. I will be recommending this hotel to all...would stay there again most definitely... Loved the location, it's across the city from gastown. My husband and I love to walk and explore so it was easy to stroll around the city..found great places to eat in the immediate neighborhood. Again the staff […] their was AWESOME. "This hotel is old n inconvenience to places"
My family n I had bad experience with this hotel. The a/c doesn't work properly n bathroom door's lock doesn't lock. We had to stay in the hot room more than 1 hrs before they gave us a new room. And I had to complain 3 times to get a new room. I think this hotel is old n out of date. The T.V is old n small, plus there isn't too many program to watch. […] Also, the carpet is old n worn out. I don't think this hotel lift up to it name, "Executive Hotel". The stuffs in the frige is very expensive so is their restaurant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel met our needs at a good rate. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The bathroom was very nice. Only complaint was our beds were double size and not queens so they were a little small for two adults and they were hard mattressesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very expensive hotel."
The hotel is very expensive. If you want Wi-Fi you have to pay more. The food is very expensive too. The room is very clean, the matress is very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good price, unique wine tasting in the afternoon"
I picked this hotel based on the price and the free breakfast that I got as a Expedia VIP. It was ok - the staff was really nice, it was walkable to Yaletown, internet was free. The breakfast was lacking - the "free" voucher got me a choice of 3 cereals, some fruit, and a couple pastries. I "upgraded" (meaning paid extra) for eggs/sausage/pancake option. […] This was worth it, but irritating to me since I thought I had a free breakfast. Parking was expensive at the hotel (no surprise, all hotels charge extra) and if you are not headed out of the city don't bother renting a car. The hotel room was small but had everything we needed. The fitness center was also really small and the hot tub was lukewarm. So I didn't think the advertised amenities were very good. I didn't get a chance to sample the wine tasting as we were out of the hotel at that hour each day exploring the city. But it is a unique extra at this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hidden hotel"
The Executive Hotel hides on a spur beside the beginning of a bridge, I drove around the block several times due to not reading the map correctly. But once you get there, you have good walking access to downtown Vancouver. Two blocks up is Davie St, which is lined with good eating options, especially as you get down to the bay. The front desk will also […] provide currency exchange, at least from US dollars, if you want the convenience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Kris the concierge was the best! We arrived early and he took care of our bags, gave us some ideas of places to go nearby and hooked us up with a tour of the city. When we returned at the end of the day he greeted us by name, asked about the restaurant he recommended, and quickly took our bags up. The room was comfortable, provided free bottled water, […] and had an amazingly luxurious tub (lovely bubbles came up from the bottom). Coffee make was a Keurig (always good) and I was able to buy more K-cups and creamer at the little nearby store to meet my extra coffee needs. Fridge was big, bathroom amenities were quite luxurious and the room itself was very quiet. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, lovely staff!"
All in all, it was a good hotel. Beware though, the photos online are a little deceiving. If you do not plan to be at the hotel, and simply visit for sleep - this is a perfect hotel. It's location is fantastic , conveniently located 3-5 minutes from Granville Island and no more than 10 minutes away from Canada Place / Gastown, etc. The only issue we […] had is that it seemed a little old and badly maintained. The bathroom looked very old and the curtains smelled like they hadn't been washed in a while. Aside from this, we had a fantastic experience. The staff was truly outstanding, very helpful in every aspect - great concierge. Also had a delicious wine tasting. If you're @ the hotel - go. If you're out - stay there.. It's very simple and nothing to rant about .. but it's a nice perk All in all, good experience. 4 stars for the fact that it looked a little old, our view wasn't the very best, and the fact that you had to pay a $27.00 parking fee. "Perfect for a short stay"
Location great. Very comfortable room and bed. Ours had a bubble tub although the rooftop whirlpool was an excellent alternative. Complimentary wine tasting in early evening was pleasant. "O.K Hotel, close to Stanley Park."
It is an O.K hotel, but of course you get what you pay for the price great location. What I liked is that it was close to almost everything. Receptionist very helpful and if you wake up early you can have bicycle with no extra charge or late afternoon. "Made our Vacation"
When you review a hotel on line, you never know if it will look the same in person. I'm happy to say the Executive Hotel look the same. Our view on the 5th floor wasn't the greatest. However everything else met our expectation. I want give a special salute to the hotel staff. They were great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Although the staff were friendly, the location is terrible. The advertisement of a free shuttle was decieving because they will only accommodate a request if they are available. With the cost of taxis, we could have stayed at a nicer hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for Granville Island access but ..."
The Pros: great location for Granville Island. 3 block walk to water taxi. $5 round trip adult fare. They had a complimentary wine and snack hour. Rooms are generously sized as the hotel is a bit older. Despite being a bit outdated, the rooms were VERY clean and not dusty like in some other older hotels. THE CONS: restaurant is in transition and it […] shows in the food. I did not have breakfast so I can not comment on that. There was a charge for $3.30 for alcohol tax on our dinner that the front desk couldn't explain. We did not have any booze. They had the accountant look into it but was going to take some time so I just paid it and hope for layer refund on my card. Also, the charged me a 5% exchange rate to use US dollars when everyone else was accepting at par. Just felt nickeled and dimed. Lastly, location is close to Yaletown but is near a seedier side of Granville. Still felt safe. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"HOT, HOT, HOT"
Our room was suppose to be the BEST room in the hotel. Ceiling to floor windows. When the air conditioning stopped working and the room became very hot, the nighttime bell hop was sent up to fix the problem! The A/C was not fixed and a fan was bought to put in our room. The hotel manager was never seen. I went to the front desk SEVERAL times and was […] told he was either not there yet or out in the hotel. Our daughter got sick because of the heat and when we went to embark on our cruise the next day, we were not allowed to get on the ship because she had thrown up!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!! The only redeeming quality of the hotel is the daytime bell hop. He was awesome!!! He arranged for diner the night we arrived (calling the restaurant and letting them know we were on our way), gave us free breakfast at the hotel, and took us to the port with great details of the area. We will be back next time in Vancouver. We loved the location, easy to get around to everything we wanted to see..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was just blocks from waterfront and from shopping. It was located near the main highway so there was a little noise from highway but really wasn't a big deal. "Not as nice as it seems"
For a four star hotel, I wasn't super impressed. The room was clean, but the bed and pillows weren't particularly comfortable. It gives you a great view of Vancouver, but unfortunately I was right above an onramp, so it was pretty noisy. It's also kind of far away from the Skytrain, probably a 10 minute walk to Yaletown-Roundhouse or Van Cty Cntr/Granville […] Stations. On the other hand, it's right near Davie St, which has a ton of places to eat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice location for Granville Isl."
Nice location to visit Granville Island by boat, since parking at the Granville Island can be difficult during the weekend. "Great hotel with very friendly staff."
I highly recommend this hotel. We had a queen room with the jetted tub and loved it. Staff was on the spot with anything we needed and were super friendly. We went to the wine tastings every night they had them and were able to chat with interesting people. "A nice older (one should say established) hotel"
Nice older hotel with some view rooms to the South which you will pay for to get or perhaps reserve early. It has some nice upgraded features, well appointed rooms although a bit small, their unusually shaped rooms offer a good deal of charm and include standard list of amenities, like the mini frig and bar(pay). We had a double tub with bubbling jets […] except the drain plug was missing which defeats the whole tub concept as it would not hold water. The immediately responding staff could not repair the drain and so we were moved (gratis upgrade) to another room. The tub was smaller (my choice and still with jets) but the bed was bigger and the view improved where originally we had a spectacular view of the ally. Parking is a premium you pay $23 for nothing too unusual about that just be prepared as most things are la carte beyond the basic room. I enjoyed my stay. Although the hotel is not in the middle of the bustling downtown area of Vancouver it is walk-able (6-12 blocks, 1.5km) form many of the downtown shops, restaurants and sights. Walking the city streets felt safe and enjoyable as did the hotel. Vancouver is a wonderful place to visit and perhaps live. I have only visited several times and this time I continued the streak of having a a pleasant vacation and experience not only with this hotel but Vancouver. There are numerous good hotels and this is one of them. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel close to downtown and Granville island"
hotel is right off Granville bridge which is convenient to most of the location. The room is not very roomy, but enough for a family of four. The decor is nice and room is clean. We stayed on 3rd floor. The wifi connection is phasing in and out. We had to call the front desk to request the technician to reset the router couple times in order to get […] a consistent connection. Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. "Near the night life!"
Stayed for a weekend; customer service was great and directed us to the nightlife. Granville is just a block away where there's a strip of clubs and bars. Davie St is just up the street where you can enjoy the colorfulness of VanCity (if you are queer or allied). Downtown is not far away, there's always public transport if you don't feel like walking. […] I loved the location of the hotel and it is pretty intimate. The only thing that was a damper was the view or lack thereof (of a back alley). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"1st & last time"
the concierge was info-less, bed was hard & not comfy, there was a fight in the ally way which our room faced from the neighbors who lived in the apartment complex, wifi was slow, jacuzzi didn't have the jet streams and they didn't even have complimentary breakfast for the price i paid for. would not stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, small room"
The hotel was in a very convenient location. Quick walk to ferry to go to Granville market. We easily walked all around downtown from the hotel. The room was way too small for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 kids) whereas other hotels where we stayed over the week were more spacious. My daughter was excited to go to the jacuzzi but found out that the water […] was not clean and only lukewarm. One of the best things was the free parking promotion we got through hotels.com whereas other hotels charge upwards of $20 per night for parking. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous but one of the staff members did not want to inconvenience himself to take us by the hotel shuttle to an event we were attending 4 blocks away. We were told that the shuttle was available for that purpose but apparently at the discretion of the person you happen to ask. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
