We enjoyed our stay. One thing could have improved it: having someplace to sit down in the lobby other than the coffee shop area. Otherwise, it was a fine experience; the close proximity to the Bethesda Metro station was a big relief to weary footsore travelers such as ourselves.

Typical cost plus hotel at a high price point with no included amenities. Very dated interior with odd conference room layout. Staff was OK, but not up to par for a luxury property. Very nice surrounding neighborhood, but not very close to central DC by metro. Wouldn't stay there on my dime.

I booked a King but when I got there the man at the front desk was quite abrupt and rude about letting me know my King would be unavailable. He didn't even bother to apologize or be accommodating, or offer to let us know if a King would be available the following night. Same with room service. Rooms were excellent and so quiet. The metro to downtown is right at the hotel. You go downstairs and 20 min later you're at the National Mall/Smithsonian/White House. I got this hotel at a very good price through hotels.com. The location is perfect if you need to commute to DC on a frequent basis (it takes only 30min or so to get to Dupont Circle on the red line). The service was really good. Internet was not working properly in my room, even though I purchased their premium service.

Hotel was a good value. Parking was pricey but comparable to the area. Very close to the Bethesda Metro station. We were able to use the metro for almost all of our sight seeing in the Washington, DC area. Reserved a King bed but had to settle for a queen. Carpet could use updating and a recliner would have been nice to have. Our room did not have a […] fridge or microwave. Bathroom has been updated and was clean. We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The Bethesda station on the Metro's Red line is right downstairs for a convenient train ride into DC. We also wanted to go to the National Zoo which is only a five stops down the Red line from the Bethesda station. The online daily price for a Hyatt in the DC area was great, It was for the room only, it did not include […] parking, breakfast or internet service. You must go far enough along the reservation process to see the service fee added on to the posted daily rate. I was surprised by the added fee as a percentage of the posted rate. Higher than any of others I looked at. I really felt the posted rate was a little too misleading. The final room price for this quality hotel was still good, and for the convenience it was well worth it. The hotel is beautiful. A long wait for elevators during check out time. Read more

I had read previous reviews from earlier in the month and I was concerned. Almost cancelled and booked elsewhere. I did not experience anything like the other reveiws I read. Room was clean and showing no more age than other hotels I have stayed in. Room was a bit cramped with 2 double beds. Hotel staff were very pleasant and accomadating.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The first night was terrible, they put us at a king room, which means one king bed without sleep sofa. 2 adults and 3 kids with only one bed to sleep.(our luck was we always bring a inflatable bed just in case). They said it was a website reservation mistake. But at the second night they moved us to a double bed […] room which was ok, a little small room without microwave or fridge(which means a lot when you travel with kids). The only thing I didn't really liked was the a/c vents, which throws air all over the room, so you will fell the air in your head all night long (PS: we covered the vent with a bath towel), overall was a clean room with comfortable beds. The hotel offers a very nice breakfast. The swimming pool is located at the top of the building, also the fitness room, where we spend a lot of good time. The location of this hotel is great, you can take the subway on the second subfloor, right below the building. The parking lot is not good, surcharged and you have to walk outside to get to the parking, which is bad if is snowing or raining, and the lots are very tinny for big SUV's. Even though Hotels.com description said 2 beds, called and confirmed with the hotel again. But on check-in we were given 1 King. Had to stay one night in the cramped room and then move to another room the next day. But hotel location was perfect !!

By the time they found that it had been delivered to the gift shop, it was too late for the meeting. 3. And finally, upon check-out, we experienced the rudest person every encountered wearing a Hyatt uniform. She was wise, nasty, rude and unhelpful with the simplest of requests. Overall, the hotel is nice, but when you purchase WiFi, it is only good for one device. I would not recommend this hotel for that reason. Also, I will not stay here until they change this policy. There are better hotels in the area that won't nickel and dime you for everything.
