Great hotel for a great price
I was only here for one night and for the price and accessibility for the events I went to I was very pleased. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The cable was not working properly and I was offered another room but since it was only for one night I didn't bother.

It was ok....
I expected the hotel to be better then what it was...the staff was very nice, the hotel has a Restaurant in it but the menu was very limited. The parking sucks!!!! And there wasnt alot of spaces and they have the nerve to charge for parking!! The room was clean and lots of room and cute. I would stay here again as long as i could park my car on the side of the street again instead if using their parking lot. Other then the parking it wasnt too bad....very cute intimate hotel for couples!!

Great location and experience
Great room, wonderfully friendly staff and very helpful with recommendations for grocery store (whole foods) and restaurants. Room was large, bathroom was large and kitchenette was great for our breakfast items and snacks we always bring. We did not try restaurant attached, so can't comment, but it is within walking distance to everything! A great experience.

Foggy Bottom Retreat
We enjoyed two nights at GWU Inn while visiting D.C. over the Memorial Day weekend. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The furnishings and carpet were aging and a bit worn. The quiet location among the nice brick townhouses of the Foggy Bottom neighborhood made sleeping here a pleasure. A train stop was only one block away which made getting to the museums on the Mall a breeze. Georgetown was only a ten minute walk from the hotel, and the west end of the Mall where the Lincoln Monument sits was only one mile away. A great, safe place to stay while in D.C. We look forward to another stay in this really affordable hotel.

Wrong room type, but great stay anyway
Overall I had a really nice stay here. The only hiccup was I booked a double bed room through hotels.com and when I arrived, there was just one king bed. I was sharing with a colleague so that was a bit awkward. Otherwise the room was really nice, it was a suite with a little kitchen and big living room. We could have pulled the couch out to a sleeper but opted to share the king because it's more comfortable. Cookies and apples at check in were great.
