The employees at the front desk where nice and helpful but the hotel needs a lot of work. Looks like they are starting on some of the work it needs but that work does not look as if it is being done by a professional.

The management was great! We were informed that previous to our visit there had been significant crime in the area. However, we were also informed that the current manager installed survailence cameras and hired an overnight security guard.

I have stayed at other Red Roof Inns, but this particular location was terrible. Night time office staff were not helpful or friendly, parking lot was a construction site, multiple rooms had television set/furniture outside of door, and my room had two small pillows that smelled. The walls of the room were still marked with painters tape and the 15+ […] y/o television set had only one semi working station. And to top it off, the room did not have an iron/ironing board, so when I called front desk, I was notified they had only one on the property which was being used. Needeless to say, I would have been better off sleeping in my truck in the parkinglot. I would not stay at that place again, nor will I refer anyone I know to it. Worst Red Roof EXPERIENCE EVER! Located near the highway, address directions on website is not clear (if intending to just plug into GPS, call the number to get better directions). The hotel is trying to upgrade the rooms and there is sign of upgrade. No breakfast but there is an outdoor pool avaialble. Limited parking.

The room was clean and the bed was OK. For the money it was not a bad deal. It is in a bad area of town but that was not a problem. It was cheap for what I needed and was fine for me. I would not bring a date here if I was trying to impress her.

All in all I had enjoyed myself. My stay in Austin was because of South by Southwest 2013 and I wasn't worried about the hotel I had my mind on the festival. The only thing I didn't like the toilet was in one room while the counter top was in another......not cool

The hotel is in a state of necessary touchup, so the exterior showed signs of such activity. This was not an issue at all. However, the stairs leading up to the rooms were narrow and worn (there is an elevator), and the door on one of the rooms did not securely shut without a sizable nudge. I only saw one, but any hotel/motel nowadays should have bug issues under control. Our stay was pleasant, and we slept just fine. The employee at the desk was more than nice and respectful. Convenient location is about the only thing good about the hotel. The rooms were filthy, the bathroom door would not shut, and they provided towels to use as pillows. The exterior doors were in horrible shape and only half painted red. Save yourself and go elsewhere...

Desk personnel were very friendly! Though very busy when I check in, they had a smile and were patient w/ each one of us. It was close to where I had a conference. Considering how reasonably priced it is, you shouldn't expect a 5 Star hotel. It was clean and they appear to be working on numerous repairs. Located right off highway!

Overall, the stay was sufficient for the two days I needed to stay. My husband made it all the better. I'm glad he was able to join me. The only thing I really didn't like about the stay is that we weren't able to choose smoking or non-smoking. The room smelled like smoke and there was a smoke burn on one of the mattresses.

The room was non smoking but smelled like cigarette. An old run down hotel and dirty. No coffee maker, no mini refrigerator, broken ice machine and an uncomfortable bed. I could have got my room cheaper by walking up to the counter rather than go through this website.
