Wi-fi coverage poor and very slow and internet connection not working. Bar not really suited to lively social evenings and full of cigarette smoke. There are enough food outlets to cater for most peoples tastes.Coffee shop should offer variety of typical pub food. Centrally situated which is a huge bonus. Would stay there again.

Good value for money, excellent location, nice gym and pool. However, the front desk staff is often disappointing. Long waiting time to check in, even when coming in tired after midnight. Also, weird deposits required, and a generally mistrustful attitude. Admittedly tried the Mercure because of excellent value. Would certainly stay here anytime in Abu Dhabi for the same Hotels.com price. Did not have a chance to try restaurants, exercise facilities, etc. but staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.

Having been to Abu Dhabi several times in the last 12 months, this was the best hotel of them all. On previous trips, I asked a local contact to help setup the rooms. The first one was at Park Rotana. Very nice hotel but the nightly rate was a bit much for the typical business traveler. The second time was the worst. The hotel didn't even have Internet […] - NOT even in the lobby! Making my own reservation this time was great. Novotel Central is located literally in the center of town. From here, it is a short taxi/bus ride to either the Abu Dhabi or Marina Malls. There are several food choices right outside the hotel, including an Indian Restaurant, a local grill, a local chicken restaurant, and for those from America - Burger King. Getting the hotel with Internet and Breakfast deal is the best rate. The Breakfast Buffet offered a lot of selection from Continental fare to full cooked to ordered items. The hotel also offered several restaurants inside the hotel include a French and a Chinese Restaurant. The Chinese restaurant is pretty authentic so not a bad place to go. this hotel is not at all recommended if you are travelling with loved ones or family. the hotels location is in thee center of a red light district with women standing right outside the hotel and not suitable for couples at all.

The Mercure in Abu Dhabi is conveniently located for all your city center requirements. It is very reasonably priced for a central Hotel and is a clean, well run establishment with a decent Bar and various restaurant facilities. This is not my first visit, and certainly won't be my last!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were very good, the pool and gym area were also good. I have stayed at this hotel before and think its a decently priced, central hotel for Abu Dhabi. My room initially had a bad odour to it - slightly musty, but it disappeared after I put the AC on for a short while. I would recommend this this for anyone on a short business or pleasure break.

Having never visited Abu Dhabi before I was unsure where to stay, we were going specifically for the Grand Prix weekend and the Mercure was recommended to us because of it's city centre location. I have to say, I cannot fault this hotel or the staff. During a nightmare journey with Qatar Airways, I had to contact the hotel to let them know we would […] be very late arriving as we were stuck for 6 hrs at Doha Airport. The person I spoke to was very helpful and informed me our room would be held for us. On arrival check in at the hotel was very quick and I was soon in bed to catch up on a lost nights sleep (Thanks again Qatar Airways!!!!) Our room was spotlessly clean as were all the public areas and swimming pool. There are several restaurants within the hotel, all reasonasbly priced. Yas Island Race Circuit is approx 30 minutes away by taxi which costs about £10 in a metered cab. (Avoid taxi drivers who are not on the meter, they will try to charge double!!!!) My final words are for the staff at the Mercure, they are excellent. From the reception staff to the cleaners, nothing is too much trouble and they will go out of their way to help. I would definately use the Mecure Abu Dhabi again, which is more than I can say about Qatar Airways. Read more

Good service for me means the front desk want to help you have a good stay. The Mercure has this. Add to this it's competitive pricing and central location which means taxi's can find it easy, and this hotel is reasonable choice.
