Well we were suppose to have a shower/bath tub combo in our hotel room because we have a 1 yr old and we instead got put in a room with standing shower only. Also, there really wasn't any good food for breakfast in the morning.

They overbooked our room that we had already payed for and everything and were trying to send us to another hotel which was nothing in quality compared to this hotel. If everything else is booked or far too expensive, than this is the place to stay. Otherwise, I would search around, because you are bound to find something better for around the same amount of money. Particularly something in a better and safer part of town. This hotel is used mainly for military families because its in the base but outside the gates. I would think that you would have something better for the families protecting our country. We are not getting a discounted rate. You know that EVERY weekend there is an Airforce graduation......there was not enough room to eat. The orange juice was watered […] down and disgusting. The dining area was packed and you had 3 of the 4 waffle makers broken. The waffles were the only thing worth eating. My room was disgusting but what could I do? My son was graduating and I wasn't going to miss that. The maid actually put an empty bottle of shampoo back on the shelf rather than leave a new bottle. I could not get the air/heat to work correctly. I was either freezing or burning up. The first full day, nobody came into my room to take my trash, and considering there were diapers in there, it was a must. Also there was a bug in the bathroom. The hotel staff was very helpful in regards to Lackland AFB and the location is excellent. You get what you pay for, in regards to cleanliness and condition of the room. Location, breakfast and helpful staff make up for things lacking.

The hotel is a short drive away from the AFB Luke Dr gate. Very convenient. You get to hear Taps at night - I liked it. The hotel is quiet. Ran out of washclothes and didn't stock my room for two days in a row. Called down for them, and had to go get them, no one to deliver to room after evening. She was a shining example of how to handle multiple competing issues in a professional and patient manner. Hotel was clean. I went down to San Antonio for the BMT Air Force graduation and the hotel was just down the street from the Main Gait so it was a convenient location. Getting in and out of the hotel is tricky because it's on a busy highway. The hotel was perfect for BMT Graduation ceremonies. Only complaint would be that there wi-fi is unprotected and we saw a vehicle cruise the lot tring to hack into your computer systems. We had 4 port atacks on our computer. The hotel was notified of this issue and was concerned. Overall a good stay with being so close to the base.

I started at a flea bag hotel and I moved to the la Quinta at 4 am and they were very accomadation and very friendly. I definitely stay there again and I do recommend . My son really enjoyed the continental breaksfast.

For proximity to the base, this location can't be beat. The room we stayed in had been flooded recently (how recently, I could not establish) and was very moldy and mildewy. The cleaning staff had done their best to provide a clean and comfortable room, but the management should not supply a room that needs rehab.
