Make sure to check in early, they sometimes overbook and will not hold non smoking rooms. I had my reservation for two months, paid for, and still did not get a non smoking room because I checked in at 10:30 PM. Fortunately, they found a room another guest checked out of early and cleaned it that night. It was non smoking, but my check in took almost 2 hours.

There was not an attendant at the parking lot even though they knew the gate was not working properly.

We put our luggage back in the car and went to see the Alsmo. We went back to the hotel around 4:00 to discover a lobby full of frustrated travelers in a line that was over 100 people deep. We stood in line until 6:45 with angry people, crying children and barking dogs. The hotel never offered a reason for the delay at any point during the wait or when we were finally given a room.I never once got the impression that anyone at the hotel cared about their guests.

I only stayed for one night but I was really pleased with the quality of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is literally across the street from Macy's in the Rivercenter Mall. There is a Denny's right across the street but a little hint of advice: I would not recommend valet parking. If I went back I would do the self parking only because the people who park your car park it a few feet away from the front of the hotel and it would have been easier to just walk to my car rather than having to wait for the valet. I would definetly recommend this hotel the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were big. Didn't wake up early enough to catch breakfast but I did enjoy sleeping in and knowing that check-out was at noon. Only about a 20-30 minute drive from the Palladium Imax theater and Fiesta Texas. Great hotel!!
