Overall, the hotel was very clean and the staff was personable. I was a bit disappointed upon arrival because the hotel was not as pictured on the website. The hotel faces the highway and the hotel room doors open to the outside not to an interior hallway as I had expected based on the hotels.com photo. The only toiletries included in the bathroom were […] soap and shampoo. Most hotels also include conditioner and lotion. I was glad I brought all of my own toiletries from home. The TV only offered about 15 channels. Breakfast offered hard boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt. They also had green apples. I would have appreciated a larger selection of fruit. Overall, the hotel was a good deal for the money. It was easy to access from the highway and clean. I would choose to stay there again. Very disappointing as the room was too small and not well ventilated. Knowledge of oher LaQuintas led me to believe at least a fridge, if not a microwave would have been included.

i am totally dissatisfied with my stay at the la quinta inn dallas uptown on dec 19th. the motel is in the process of being remodeled and there was debris, workers and equipment everywhere. i would think you would be aware of this and alert your travelers. i will definately pass my experience on to friends and family.

The staff was GREAT! The room was very clean. The hotel is right off of a very busy highway and I was concerned about the noise level at night but the room was insulated pretty well from the traffic noise. I slept soundly!

I reported wifi problems that persisted throughout my stay. The front desk didn't seem much interested in helping. Reviews suggest this hotel is a diamond in the rough. I would say it is nothing more than an acceptable 2-star.

The worst part was that they claimed to have free wifi. I reported that it was not working. They had an out of country technician call me and she guided me through changing all of my iso and server data. That not only didn't work but it screwed up my computer so that I couldn't log on anywhere else. I was on the road for three days with desperate business […] to take care of but they shut down my ability to communicate on the web until I got home and got IT to fix what their technician had screwed up. When we checked into the hotel the desk clerk asked why we were in town, we told her our plans and she proceeded to provide us with a map to our destination. She was very friendly and helpful.The room was comfortable and clean. The only negative thing was the shower, I had a hard time getting the water to the right temperature, It was either too hot […] or too cold. It seemed as though the thing you use in the middle to get the water from the faucet to the shower was not working properly. Located right off the highway was a plus and the Denny's attached to the lot gives a 15% discount. The parking lot was way too small. We had to park around in the front of the hotel and our room was in the back. The outside is dated and it's right by expressway. However staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included. As a single woman I felt safe. Also Samsung flat screen tv's in the room. And best of all, they have a make it yourself waffle option for breakfast, in the shape of the state of Texas!

Hotel was awful. Will never stay at another LaQuinta. We are not handicapped and they gave us a handicapped room. Smelled horrible and was very nasty. Wanted to wrap myself in saran wrap to sleep. It was a late check-in and we were too tired to try somewhere else on a packed holiday weekend. NEVER AGAIN!

About the 12th time I've stayed there. I do it mainly for the location-Henderson/Knox streets are a happening place! Great restaurants, bars and shopping galore within EASy walking distance! Careful for your car tho. I had mine broken into in broad daylight on their back parking lot. I now ALWAYS park out front where things stay busy.

A good place to stay if you have business at SMU. Closer to the Cityplace DART station than the Mockingbird one, although this makes for a good "portal" from being on-campus to being off-campus. The free breakfast includes cereal, which is helpful.

The price of the hotel was great. The location of the hotel was great. I loved that we didn't have to drive to find great place to eat.....everything was just around the corner!!!
