"Great place to stay"

Loved the boutique feel of the lobby and the understated decor in the room. We found the bed to be very comfortable, making it difficult to get up and leave in the morning. We stayed on the 14th floor and could see all of downtown Knoxville. Overall it was a great experience and we would look to stay there again when in Knoxville.

Overall good location, great view of the river and stadium from our room, but we did not get a good nights sleep. Bed was not the most comfortable and the room is not sound proof at all. We heard every noise outside and every person that passed by our room inside. Restaurant and Starbucks in the hotel was very convenient, and lobby with fireplace and sitting area was nice. If you sleep hard then you should be fine but if your a light sleeper may want to look elsewhere.

The Hilton Knoxville is in an excellent location downtown. It is right across the street from the Knoxville Convention Center, UT Conference Center and the World Fair Park. The staff is also very friendly and helpful in ensuring your needs are met. The hotel is starting to show its age in some of the room fixtures and decor, but the hotel is kept in excellent condition and the room was clean. I did face an aggravation with the in-room television, as the remote would only work in a very narrow location. I highly recommend this hotel due to its location in the middle of downtown and the fact that you can walk to UT, Volunteers' Landing and other locations in Knoxville. Although it is more expensive than some options, I feel that it is an excellent value for downtown lodging in Knoxville

I've stayed here before and was pleased when I wasn't on a smoking floor, which was why I gave it 4 stars and not fewer. We had a late check in after a UT game and they had nothing left but a 2 queen room on a smoking floor, even though I had booked my room weeks in advance. The hallway smelled horrible. Fortunately the room wasn't as bad, but you could easily tell smoking was allowed in it. Other than that, no complaints. Parking is $10 next to the hotel, but there are two garages close by that offer free weekend parking if you're there on a Friday thru Sunday. Convenient to Market Square, UT, and World's Fair.

This Hilton is inconvenient for any guests. The parking garage is not convenient to get in and out. We paid an extra ten dollars to park in Hilton's garage. The path way to the hotel is dangerous for any guest with a baby and a stoller. We have to push our stoller against the valet entrance, which could be dangerous. The room where like any mid size motel, nothing special. I was expecting the room to be better. I could not sleep a wink on the uncomfortable pillows. They had extra but it was useless. I was hoping they would have a small refrigerator to keep the baby's milk but no luck. I will not stay in this hotel again because it was unconfortable.

I had enjoyed a previous stay at the Hilton Knoxville as a top rate experience. This visit, however, the room did not seem to be well maintained. There were issues with the lighting being unplugged and not having enough available outlets for guest use. In all fairness to the hotel, they offered me a different room; but at midnight, with an infant, I was too tired to move. It also was not that the room was not clean as much as it needed a through maintenance workup. This made it feel unclean. The bed was still very comfortable and the staff was extremely courteous, friendly as was room service and house keeping.

Our expierence was very good and our view was awesome. I would stay there again. Only a couple of things to think about: One is parking. You have to pay for it and it wasn't the easiest to access. Second is breakfast. In today's hotel world most places offer at least a "grab and go". The Hilton did not. Although I would stay here again, I would check out other area hotels that do not charge for parking.

The person at check-out straightened it out immediately, with an apology. Loved having a Starbucks in the lobby. The gym was big and had a lot of equipment. After driving for 4 hours, I was ready to relax for the evening in order to prepare for my meeting at 8am the following morning. The parking was a nightmare (mainly because I was tired and didn't know exactly where to go). After circling the block about 4 times, I was finally able to pull into the valet parking area. You could self park your car or valet park for $4 more. I opted for the valet, just because I was tired of driving. Check in was fairly quick and painless. When I arrived at my room, I will admit that I was impressed. It was VERY clean and the beds looked amazingly comfortable. The view from the room was great and as luck would have it, there was a fireworks show in Knoxville that night and we could not have had a better view. It's like our room was made for the sole purpose of watching the fireworks! I ordered a chicken sandwich from room service, but ended up just eating the bread and fries because the chicken was so tough and rubbery. During the night we found the major disadvantage to the room: NOISE. When the A/C reached it's final temperature and turned off, it clicked for the better part of 15 minutes (and the clicking sounded like it was trying to decide if it wanted to turn back on or not). The toilet would be relatively quiet, but then every 30-45 minutes it would make a loud water running sound. We closed the door to the bathroom in order to dull the noise and found that VERY effective. I would recommend this place, but make sure you have the patience to find out where you're going to park, pack your own dinner and bring some ear plugs in case you get one of the noisy rooms.
