Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast. Good music on Thursday nights. Close to Egyptian Museum. Negatives: You can tell the hotel needed better maintenance. The surrounding neighborhood was not that great. The bed was to soft and as a result I had back pains during my stay.

I stayed at the Ramses Hilton for two nights before joining up with a tour group in a different hotel. When I checked into my room there was toothpaste from a previous occupant in the drain of the bathroom sink. Obviously, I was grossed out by that. To the hotel's credit, this was cleaned when I brought it to management's attention, and a fruit basket […] was then sent to my room. I appreciated management being apologetic about it. (it would have been better if the incident had never happened, but the hotel gets credit for its response when notified of the problem. I hope that the hotel has spoken about this with housekeeping.). Otherwise, my stay was quite enjoyable. The requested quiet room WAS quiet, and I slept well. The concierge's desk was very helpful at assisting me in seeing the things I wanted to see. I was particularly pleased about the driver, Mohammed, whom the hotel provided to drive me to the pyramids at Giza and serve as my guide. Mohammed was amazing and the price was very reasonable. I chose this hotel for its previous reviews. It was a definitely a good choice. From my hotel i could see all of Cairo and even the Pyramids were visible. Just for the scenic view this hotel was great. The staff were very accommodating and tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

The location and the view of Nile river was so good evethough the 7/24 traffic. Hotel staff were tolerant and polite. Only negativeness was the hair dryer in the bathroom. Overall cairo ramses hilton is nice . Highly recommended.

Ramses Hilton is located in Central Downtown Cairo. very close to Egypt Museum, adjacent to Tahrir Square metro station and only a short drive from many of Cairos tourist sights. To visit the pyramids we asked the Concierge to arrange a tour, which he did and it was excellent.

Location overseeing the Nile is good. Across from the museum. Alot of auto traffic next to the hotel, take care trying to cross the street. For me the Hotel Concierge was useless, no experience for a city filled with history. The hotel should invest in english classes for their front desk employees. For a little more money find you a better hotel.

The hotel staff are friendly and polite, but of course you will need to pay tips. The hotel location is walking distanceto Tahrir Square and the famous Egyptian Museum but you need to be careful while crossing the heavy traffic.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, as was the entire staff at the hotel. We had an 18th floor view towards Tahrir Square and the Nile and spent a lot of time just looking out at the amazing views. Despite the political unrest in Cairo all people were friendly and I did not suffer from any security problem. I leave in Canada and due to work commetment I have to visit my country of orogin. I did not suffer from any security concern. I will repeat my trip.

Hotel was friendly and very clean. Security at both entrances of the hotel along with a metal gate insured optimal security. Enjoyed my stay as I had a great view of the nile river. If any thing negative it would be how loud the traffic is that you can hear from your hotel room.

Good hotel which has seen a face lift recently. The bathrooms are the only part of the room which seem dated minus the counter top which is new. The hotel is centrally located in Cairo, and walking distance to the Cairo Museum for which there is a under pass close by. There are also a many shops located inside the mall, but seemed to be over priced. Security is no concern with both entrances well guarded. The hotel seemed to be running at near full accommodation with a lot of Japanese tourists, and Middle East tourists. The free breakfast provided is of good standards with a variety of hot, and cold items including a Japanese selection. Nice place but old. Needs remodeling but overall a nice place. Very busy and packed with guests and lots of parties at night. Not alot of activities for kids and packed with locals. The best feature is that it is close to almost everything downtown. Shopping, museum, Nile, etc. Will stay again.

We loved everything about our vacation at this hotel! Upon check in we told them it was our anniversary and not only did we get upgarded but they sent us cake, fruit and water! THe peopel were frinedly and helpful but DO NOT TAKE TAXIS FROM THGE HOTEL! They ahve some kind of a racket going on where they pick their drivers, overcharge up to 5x for the […] rate and then (we believe) get a kick-back... We wrote a letter to Hilton even! What we did was ask the concierge to write our destination down in Arabic, walk down to the corner and hail a cab ourselves. I had a very nice executive room on the 26h floor with a view of the pyramids in the distance. The waterfront and roads are quite noisy so windows must be closed at all times. Some details in the room were overlooked by staff. Coffee wasn't restocked one day and hot water was hard to come by in the bath tub. Staff is very pleasant, I would say overly […] so. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was great with a wonderful view of the Nile. Only problem is that if you want to walk, you take your life in your hands getting across some busy roads -- with no pedestrian walks.

The positives. Not much. Reasonably quiet if you are on the Executive Floors with a Nile view, and a decent breakfast in the Windows on the World Restaurant on the 31st Floor, with views across central Cairo. The negatives. Huge number of tour groups and not up to the usual Hilton standard by a long way. Max 4 star, definitely not 5. Much noisier if […] you are on a lower floor and facing the roads (you are on a major roundabout with lots of very busy roads, flyovers and bridges all around the hotel). You have to cross several busy roads to walk anywhere and this is scary if you are not used to drivers in the Middle East. If you are not staying on the Executive Floors, there are always huge queues to check-in and check out: the main reception is like a zoo. Service is very variable - some staff are friendly, others are miserable and unhelpful, most are not very well trained and are very obvious in wanting tips for everything. The gym and indoor leisure facilities are operated by an external company. The gym is small and some of the staff are sleazy and rude. Likewise, the so-called Spa is tiny and squashed into a small space behind the Gym. The Executive Lounge does have a basic offering of snacks and drinks but this is only available in the evening, not all day as advertised and the offerings are hardly generous. If you are happy to pay a little more, the Intercontinental and the Four Seasons provide a real 5 star experience, with much better service and facilities, and better locations for walking to Tahrir square and the museum, with less traffic to navigate. You should only stay at the Ramses if you are offered a much cheaper price than the other main 5 star hotels in the area and you are happy with the trade offs. Otherwise, if you are looking for a real 5 star experience, go elsewhere to avoid disappointment. Read more

思っていたより4月のエジプトは寒く、部屋は暖房を効かせたい程の温度でした。エアコンに暖房機能はありましたが、全く機能せず。ホテルに相談したところ、当然部屋を変えてくれましたが、変更後の部屋でも同じように暖房は効きませんでした。エジプトでは暖房使う日なんてそんなに無いのかな？それ以外はほぼ全て満足です。
