I actually had to book two rooms. my parents in one, the other myself the next night. parents snore. when i arrived, my mother saw four glasses, one was dirty with lipstmarks and white crud in the bottom of the glass. Cmon this is Harrah's! no its not wynn, or belagio but even budget hotels i have been to have clean glasses or packaged plastic/paper. They were prompt in replacing the glass though, so the sevice i cant complain. my room was a little smoking, maybe previous smoke room?

Harrah's is in the perfect location! It's right on the center of the strip, and everything is walkable from the front door. The hotel is well maintained, and the staff are quite friendly. The room prices are very reasonable too. Unfortunately, it seems one of the reasons the prices are affordable is because Harrah's has removed some basic amenities from the rooms. In this case the coffee maker! Bad news. My wife and I like to bring our own coffees and teas with us when we travel, and with no ability to make hot water we were pretty upset. Well, we called the front desk and they told us we could get a coffee maker only if we upgraded to a new, more expensive room. Bummer. For less than the cost of the upgrade we figured we could buy our own coffee maker, and that's exactly what we did! We ended up driving downtown to buy an electric kettle, and we used that in our room for the remainder of the stay. All in all, this one item was no big deal - just a shock at first. Aside from this, We loved the stay, and will definitely consider Harrah's for our next Las Vegas getaway.

Our stay at Harrah's was enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet (we were on the 11th floor of Carnaval Tower). Harrah's location in the center of the Strip makes it convenient to everything else. Many restaurants (from expensive to fast food) were in easy walking distance. Staff at the hotel, the casino and restaurant were all friendly and helpful. We'll be staying at Harrah's again.

The location was excellent in regards to walking to other casinos. We had a deluxe room in the Madi Gras Tower overlooking the pool area. There was a band nightly that you could hear but they shut down around midnight and I'm guessing the elevators to another tower were also near that you could hear humming. All in all if you have a family, I would stay here but if it was you and your spouse, stay else where.

We paid extra for a view and had a view of the heating ducts and air conditioning units and a little slice of the strip. Save yourself some money and just go for the regular room, not the :special" one because its not worth it. The room was very nice and had a flat screen tv in the bathroom, but the room was also on the small side.

Despite being one of the older hotels on the strip, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable and clean. The I would have preferred was an extra blanket as the room was a bit could being that it is Winter time. Turning up the heater fix that though. The TV didn't have a super clear picture on some channels but I didn't really watch the TV all that much. Overall, not a bad stay - nothing to complain about.

We really enjoyed our stay as we stayed the whole week from Sunday to Friday. Our room was always made up before we came back from a day out on the town. I like the fact that we asked for a fridge and never had any problems getting one nor were we charged. The only problem I did not like was for a whole week our sheets on our beds were never changed once. I know they are trying to conserve, but at least change them once in the week. We were trying to conserve on the bathroom towels, yet they took them every day and replaced with new ones; so if this was the case, why not once the sheets. Anyways.. My overall experience, I would definitely stay and recommend Harrah's again.

I would recommend that non-smokers make sure to get a non-smoking room. We had to take a smoking room when we first arrived because our room wasn't ready yet. We switched the next morning to a non-smoking room because the other room was really smoked up. The rest of our stay was great. Easy check-in and service was fine.

My wife and I booked Harrah's for four nights (11/1/09-11/5/09) and could not have been happier with our stay. We were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but had a comfort level as we had stayed there four years ago. Like all the reviews state, the location is super. Right in the middle of the strip. Our room was on the 19th floor (carnival) and was super clean with everything updated and in good working order. The staff was friendly, buffet outstanding and waitress for the most part pretty attentive. Can't say we won anything but then again we are not big gamblers. We won't hesitate staying their again. Now for our tips to save a few bucks. 1) Take the deuce(double decker bus). A three day pass is only $15 and it takes you any where you want to go up and down the strip. 2) Do not miss downtown. It is really party central with cheaper slot machines and flowing drinks. 3)Harrah's buffet. Get their at 2:45 and they charge you for lunch and put out the dinner items at 3:00. 4)McDonald's next door. Really a must because there are no coffee makers in the room. 5)Use total rewards cards. You don't have to gamble alot to probably get free offers somewhere down the road from Harrah's. Hope all this helps.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Harrah's. We arrived early (10:00am) but were able to check in to our room. We stayed in a 'Deluxe' room and it was very nice and clean. Unfortunatly it faced the Harrah's courtyard and when we returned to the room later in the day the music coming from the courtyard made it impossible to get some rest. We went to the front desk and they agreed to move us to another room away from the courtyard. This made all of the difference as the room was much quieter. The location of the hotel is perfect and is within walking distance of all of the major casino's. Since Harrah's is older, the ceiling is low and allows for smoke to linger. We spent most of our time away from the Harrah's casino because of this. Dinner at Flavor's buffet was good and worth the price. Skip the breakfast buffet and go to Denny's.
