The hotel is amazing, just by a canal, great restaurant area... but the front desk staff and the breakfast staff need to be informed that they work for Hilton and not another cheap brand. Price is not good at all and I suggest you to check for other options.

Personnel at reception need to learn the concept of friendly service with a smile. Fitness area charges additional amount of E17,50 per visit - not expected from a 5 star hotel.

This was an oasis in Amsterdam - a little away from the center but a few minutes walk to the Museum area. The personnel are professional and courteous. The bed was lovely and the room was very quiet. The restaurant is superb - fresh ingredients and sophistcated presentations.

Amsterdam is all about the inner city....or so i thought. The Hilton is set in a serene area , on a canal, with a beautiful garden. Three blocks away is a great and hip neighborhood with places for breakfast lunch or dinner....+ retail. Biking to the city is simple, and trams or buses are steps away. Very nice hotel with excellent customer service. Its located in a quiet area of Amsterdam and backs onto a canal.There isn't too much to do out there, but there is the tram #16 which will take one to the museumplein and the dam.

Not quite close to the city centre, but since Amsterdam's not too big a city, it is still walkable, and easy via trams. And one benefit is a quite neighborhood. The hotel was nice, the concierge helpful but so disappointed in the parking rates. Made me not trust the Hilton. The check-in staff did not tell the truth about parking. I said I parked my car in the street, is there a problem with that? She said I would have to go out every hour and put in coins. Nobody is going to bother with that so of course I […] moved my car into the Hilton parking and they charged 34 euro a day. That's almost $50.00 and crazy price, it isn't even valet or covered! Come to find out you can purchase an all day pass for the street, which is just a few steps away for 20 euro a day and it's free on Sunday. This was my third Hilton that I stayed in for this trip and I believe that the Hilton is now in the business of add-ons. What ever they can add onto your bill with extras they will try. The mini bar is electronic so you even pick an item up to look at it and your charged. Internet was not free in any of the three Hiltons I stayed at. On the pro side, we rented bikes very easily from the hotel (15 euro each) and rode around Amsterdam. At first we were kind of upset about the location of the Hilton, it was a very long walk from the center of all the action, but as soon as we rented the bikes, we liked that we were able to ride through the neighborhoods that were not so congested, as it is difficult to ride in the center. The hotel is located overlooking a canal in an elegant part of the city that is a close walk to the museums but a little away from the tourist center. There are nice coffee shops to eat and good restaurants. There was an interesting remporary exhibition of outdoor sculpture by famous artists right outside the hotel in the park.

This is a nice hotel but I will warn you that its pretty far from the main attractions of the city. The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood but its a good 15 min cab ride to the main train station and about 10 min cab ride to Dam Square. So if you ware looking to walk its out of the question.

Had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel. Our stay was over the holidays and the hotel surprised our kids with some nice treats which was a great touch.
