This is a horrible hotel! Will never stay at this place again. The carpet was dirty. The furniture was old and dirty. The bathroom ceiling had mildew. I thought the hotel was very rundown and old and the front desk man was very rude but his coworker woman was very nice. Also, the location of the hotel for an out of state person like myself was in a very terrible spot but to just have to stay a night to head to airport was convienient and that's it.

hotel room smelled and the bathroom was so small it was hard to move in there our blanket felt like we were sleeping under cardboard it was not comforable at all very un nerveing to try to sleep in that area we tried to use the heat but it smelled so ad we had to turn it off. we will never stay at this hotel again.

If you missed your flight, please sleep at the airport the floor is better. If you are traveling on vacation is much better to spend extra 30 dollars in a better place. This hotel looks worse than a horror movie. and the staff is absolutely rude and very unhappy. this is not worht $94 no way jose.

The receptionist (who said he was owner of the place) made me feel disgusting with rude unfriendly talk. As we waited to be checked-in, we saw him yelling at other gusts just because he didn't have non-smoking rooms. He said that to us as well and told us to get out if we don't want smoking (double bed) room! Even though all the other hotels near to the Econo Lodge had free airport shuttles for every 10 mins, the Econo Lodge send it only if you call them. The shower had a problem in my room. Sink whistled when it ran, scary area, no food places in vicinity of hotel. Thought $130 was too high for this hotel. In hotel room you felt better but I wouldn't stay again.

I was only looking for a decent night's sleep but definitely didn't get it. The airport shuttle service is entirely unreliable. I spoke to the front desk staff at least six times on the phone while waiting for 90 mins (until 2am) at the Newark airport. They repeatedly told me they were waiting for me or that the next shuttle was 2-3 minutes away. Only […] after 90 minutes did they mention that there are two locations called "P4" and that I apparently was at the wrong one (you need to take the AirTrain to get there). I was so frustrated that I finally just found my own way there. The room was not bad but the heat didn't work and there was no comforter, only a thin blanket over the sheets, so I did not sleep comfortably at all. The shower was warm but did not get hot. Very dirty, afraid to sleep under the sheets they were filthy. Building very dilapidated and had a strong odor of smoke, even though my room was supposed to be non smoking. I will not be coming back and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Depressing hotel in a depressing area, but close to the Newark Airport with free shuttle. Old furniture, old TV, ugly carpet, grimy building. They were remodeling, so might get better, advertised breakfast was a bag and then they wouldn't give it to me because I went over after 9:00. Manager was unfriendly.

stay here if you want something really cheap near newark airport. Not suitable for longer than a one night stay. Bathrooms are worse than some i've seen in foreign asian countries, patio door that doesn't close all the way, etc. In all fairness though, i think they're undergoing renovations.

Could have been a lil better. the office was under renovation so business was conducted in a small room next door. They did make up my bed but after further investigation i found that the sheets were not changed. Also i was in a room with a bathroom faucet that was broken so there was only hot water no cold water. I was on my way to a meeting in New Jersey and needed a hotel room this was the least expensive and the closest to the airport. The neighborhood was very shady and at 2am in the morning I was awoken by people screaming outside my door. It got so bad I call the cops. Not only that but the room that I had paid for was unavailable I paid for a king size […] bed and I got 2 queen size beds. The room was clean enough. The carpet still needed to be vacuumed. The bed sheets were old and rough. But there were no bed bugs. The staff was courteous. The breakfast in the morning with a little to go bad with a granola bar and orange juice and apple and a little muffin.
