Quality of the room was good, but a couple things were disappointing. You had to jiggle the toilet handle to get the tank to stop filling. Water flow from the shower was uneven. We booked a standard room several months in advance, but when we arrived we were given a handicapped-accessible room. Awesome location for the school I was attending and within walking distance of Dickson Street, etc. The hotel is old and it is my understanding it has been sold and scheduled for a complete remodel! Great looking out the window in the evening and seeing "ole main' and right on the square!

this hotel was nice enough but there were large stains on the comforter and the bathroom needed a lot of updating - worst shower head ever!! the tv was probably made before I was born and did not swivel. the air conditioner was adequate but blew directly into the drapes which didn't cool the room so to actually cool the room the drapes had to be open […] causing a huge glare on the very stationary tv Read more

Nice older hotel. Would stay here again.

Room was clean, bathroom needed some updating, shower fixtures needed help. Convenient to downtown square area and U of A. Sleep number beds in rooms were fun for the eight year old, but I did not really care for them. Parking garage behind building, but no entrance from garage, had to walk around building. Rate was decent for what you got.

We found a pair of mens underwear on the floor in are room. The elevator did not work when leaving and we had to take the stairs down, we were on the forth floor. My wife has a bad right foot so we had to carring are suit cases down. NOT GOOD

But a mile walk from Dixon St. The sleep number beds were nice, and the hotel was clean. The furniture is out dated and the bathroom definately showed it's age with the grout missing between some of the tiles and shower stall was old. I would stay again though. Also, the bar doesn't open until 5 pm do that was disappointing.

The one thing that we would have changed for our stay was more hours available from room service, which was not available during most of the times we tried to have room service. Also, we tried to get a late check out on Sunday and was told we could not (our son had just obtained a late check out and his room was only a couple of doors from ours). The hotel was fine. Its greatest strength was it's location, as it was walkign distance to many downtown attractions. Maintenance was lacking, however. during my 4 night stay, only one of the 3 elevators ever worked and hot water would only come about after being left on for 5 or 10 minutes. Lucky for me it was summertime!

perfect location to explore the square and surrounding establishments of U of AR. Some remodeling was in-process, but was not a problem at all...would recommend primarily for the location and comfy beds!

Everything about the hotel just felt outdated and cheap; not in a deal-breaker way where I wouldn't stay again.... it works as a place to spend the night away from home; I would not recommend it to a friend. It was cold when we were there and turning on the combo AC/heater unit that you see in cheaper motels instantly set off the in-room yellowed smoke […] detector and emitted a bad smell. The hotel staff said it was a common thing to all the rooms and there was nothing that could be done except to turn it on, leave, and let the dust burn off. The hotel and room felt safe, was as clean as you could get it for the age of the linens, carpet, etc... it just felt like a $ motel room for $$$. All of that said, it's a great location on the square downtown and only 2 very walkable blocks from the convention center. There are not many choices here unless you want to walk from Dixon street or further and this is probably why they continue to stay in business as-is. Read more

This hotel has a great location. Within walking distance to most things you would want in downtown Fayetteville. The sleep number beds were nice and the service was really nice, but the hotel does show signs of aging. At least on our floor, there was a bit of a musty smell, the fixtures in the bathroom show their age, and it could use a little paint […] in some places. Overall I had a good experience, but I think we definitely paid some extra money for the location, not necessarily the hotel. Read more

Room was clean. Beds were nice. Older hotel being renovated. Great downtown location. Not anywhere near as bad as some reviews led me to believe before I got there. Bathtub/shower needs updating. Otherwise, clean, staff was friendly....parking was free and covered and right behind the hotel. No gripes.

Looks more and more run down every time I stay there! Only thing good about it is location! Owner should be embarrassed and ashamed of his product as this could be the best place in town. Tattered bath towels, old, worn out plastic shower curtain, a $9.99 coffee maker about to fall apart and a cheap frig from the local discount store ..... REALLY?? […] !! Read more

The hotel was close to all the VA centers I was to see the next morning. The room was large, clean as one would expect. The area around the hotel was secure. I choose to have room service bring breakfast which was on time and good.

As noted above, no covered access to parking, No dining facility open, NO bar open, and non-professional appearance of all personel seen excluding the man who helped with bags at discharge. Nothing that was reported in advertisement was provided. With need for accessibility due to physical challenges, was totally disappointed in lodging.

Room was a little dated and the bed wasn't the most comfortable; however, it was reasonably priced and in a great location.

Much better than I expected based on the comments on hotel.com. It's older hotel but I found the place clean, kept up and not at all bad for the price. The rooms weren't worn out like I expected and bathrooms small but adequate. I think most that commented are a bit too harsh. This hotel has lost its funding from the banks and it shows, the rooms are old, smells like mildew, dirty carpet, stains in tub, horrible a/c smell, tv bad, desk in room falling apart, no wifi, pool under renovation. The front desk was not that worried about my concerns and just said that it was a old hotel. When you visit thew website the hotel looks […] perfect but when you check in you are horrified........... I would bet a Comfort Suites is 100% better than this place. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OK WITH FILTH. VERY VERY UPSET, SO UPSET I CHECKED OUT AFTER 1 NIGHT EVEN THOU I HAD PAID FOR MORE. We've been here several times, and each time we hope it gets better, but it doesn't. During our last three stays the remote parking key didn't work, requiring us to back out from the gate (along with everyone else behind us) so we could get another key at the counter. This is a real hassle with the one way entrance and street. Finally the staff came […] out with several keys as this has been a recurring problem for many. We reserved a king bed, but they only had doubles. This hotel has been satisfactory, but could be so much better, especially at their prices. Next time we're going to try somewhere else. Read more
