HAD A GREAT STAY. NICE POOL, ROOMS, GREAT BEDS.THE ONLY THING THAT KEEPS THIS HOTEL FROM A ***** IS MANAGEMENT! Arrived at GRR around 11:30 pm on a snowy night. Called airport from the kiosk outside the luggage pickup. Shuttle arrived just as our luggage arrived at the pickup. Driver was very courteous. This is the fourth time I have used the GRR airport Hilton as our flights tend to depart very early in the morning and arrive very late at night.

This hotel used to be one of the better hotels in Grand Rapids to stay at. With the Amway Grand Plaza and JW Marriott being downtown now, I believe that this Hilton location has suffered. This is a mixed review as the interactions with staff (albeit limited) were friendly and service centric. When we arrived in our room, it was clean and up to date. Once I was in the bathroom, I could clearly hear the person singing opera in the shower (seriously). Every word was articulate and when I spoke, the person on the other end ceased their song. […] The negative was that the walls were too thin. When we went to sleep, the pillows were too soft. There were 5 or 6 of them and they were hard to get comfortable with. On top of that, each time some one would walk by the room, we could hear every word they saying. This happened until at least 3 AM, but I don't fault the hotel for this. I would again attribute this to thin walls. I might stay here again but I'd bring my own pillow and make sure the rooms next to us were unoccupied. Read more

My husband, son and I stopped here overnight on our way to Holland, MI. It is so convenient to the Grand Rapids Airport, and minutes from any amenity you would need (food, shopping, etc.) Our room was extremely comfortable. The safe in our room was not working on our arrival, but after making a call to the front desk a very efficient maintenance worker […] arrived and fixed the problem in minutes. We used the room service for breakfast the next morning and it was very good. The only thing that would have made our stay "perfect" would have been the inclusion of a microwave oven (since our son is an infant and warming water for bottles on the road is a hassle.) The bed and bathroom were good. Rooms were a good size. Wish the hotel would provide refrigerator in the rooms. There's no ice machine on every floor. Our phones did not work at first. The most that bothered me, was the noise from the hallway, you can really hear people talking outside.Close to the freeway.

The television system was having problems that we were told was not repairable, as the whole system needed to be revamped. The ac unit in the room did not change temperature, I had the temp down to 60 and well, it stayed put. Then when the room above me used the shower.... I got a wet bathroom. Dripping down the wall and splashing on the toilet. Withe […] wallpaper bubbling up and the discolored ceiling, you would think they would have noticed it before I told them as I checked out. The room had no closet or anywhere to hang up our clothes, no ironing board either. The bathroom only had a shower and when you took a shower the entire bathroom floor was a pool of water. The hotel was very noisy. No coffee pot was a huge disappointment in the morning.

Beds and pillows very comfy; toiletries plentiful. Res. was for 3 adults, but we had to ask for a few missing cups, extra coffee. Towels were fine. No refrigerator in room. Liked the bathroom tile and pebble-look sink; much better than lesser hotels/motels. The Spinnaker Restaurant was superb!

If you like microbrew, within 20 yards is Shmoltz brewing. Then if you're willing to drive 10 minutes there is Founders Brewery. Also the hotel is nice and close to the airport. 7 minutes.

I selected this hotel because it provided free parking for our car while we were flying overseas and had a convenient shuttle to and from the airport. The price of the hotel was actually somewhat less than the cost of parking in the airport lot for the same period of time. We arrived back in Grand Rapids at 11:00 pm and the shuttle driver was waiting […] for us outside the baggage claim area. As a solo female business traveler I felt this hotel was very convenient- close to the airport with free shuttle servic that starts very early in the AM and runs late at nigh, a pretty good onsite restaurant so you don't need a car and can eat alone in a comfortable setting, and a clean room. I would stay here again.

After a long week of hard work it was great to sit back and relax in a quiet clean and tranquil atmosphere. The bed was nice and comfy! There was a conference going on, however, I was provided a room away from the business of the crowds. Though I live in town I still enjoyed a break from the noise of my own life. Will stay again nice break.

While I had difficulty with the check-in process due to hotel showing two nights reservation rather than one, the Front Desk Manager I spoke with in the morning was accommodating and rectified the situation. Room and bath were great, though bath a little small.

Had a very nice stay. Temperature of the room was hard to get set at a comfortable setting - it was either too cold/too hot at the desired temperature throughout the night. Overall nice stay though. Suggestion - use optional restaurants nearby for breakfast ...for the price the food was not what I would have expected.

We were extremely disappointed that the room did not include a refrigerator or microwave. Could have lived with the microwave, but thought fridges were almost a given, especially at a Hilton hotel. We had a multi-night stay and it would have been most appreciated. Food was a little overpriced. Desk service was great. The front office staff was really nice. They were helpful and responsive. However, on Sunday morning, the housekeepers started rumbling their noisy carts up and down the halls at around 7am. At least they are honest, though. When my fiance left his shoes behind in the room, they found them and sent them to him.

This hotel was in a very convenient place to all the things we needed on our stay in GR. The bed was SUPER comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpfull. Digital thermostat was nice except our perticular heater was quite noisy when it came on. Pool area was nice but the whirlpool could have been a bit hotter. I think the shower was hotter.
