"Lost reservation terms"
Booked a double queen room for 3 adults and 2 nights, Arrived after midnight. Room had only 1 bed. Called office, told me that reservation was for 2 adults ,1 bed. I told them i paid for a double queen room, they had no other rooms. Office had no suggestions on how to resolve problem. We arrived at breakfast late yet the kitchen supervisor had fresh fruit cut and delivered a plate directly to our table. We felt she went above and beyond exceptional customer service.. the wifi costs $9.95 a day for the room but you can get free wifi if you go to the lobby. There isn't any washer or dryer in the hotel. If you want ice you have to go to the bar to fill up a cooler. "It was a never nice hotel on the inside"
My 3 nights that I was there it was pretty good. And I loved the lady that clean our room because she took the time to organize some of my stuff. "Stay was OK but not great"
Our room was nice, and the hotel was clean, however several things would have made it a 5. First, when we were deciding where to stay we usually look for wi-fi & breakfast. The hotel website said wi-fi "available" so we assumed free, WRONG. Also, we prefer to stay where breakfast is included in the room and we did know going into this place that was […] not an option unless we stayed on the "Executive" level for an upcharge. The website also said parking available' again not free. Finally, when we got our Hotel.com confirmation there was a total charge listed and when we got to the hotel the charges were different and they tried to "pre-authorize" our credit card for and even larger amount than they claimed they were charging. This did get resolved, however it made for a very stressful, and embarrassing check-in. The only positives were, the pool was nice and the free shuttle to the Metro-Link was a must have for us as we were going to the Ball Game that weekend. The room was an average hotel room. The pool was a bit small for the amount of rooms/customers at the facility. There was a thermostat in the room but it seemed to be there just for looks as the temp did not change when the thermostat was adjusted. Hotel, including both room service and dining room, was excellent although pricey. Surprisingly, a box lunch available at the front desk was both good and cheap. Staff was excellent, moving one of our rooms to make them adjacent even though the hotel was fully booked. "It was safe but that’s about it."
The hotel advertised a “full” breakfast but in fact it was continental, with boiled eggs with chunks out of them, and all served in styrofoam—a problem if you wanted to make the oatmeal in the microwave. We thought we could get around it by using the hot water dispenser for the tea, but it tasted so strongly of coffee that we could not eat it. They […] did have a waffle maker, which was the best thing. The juice was really thin and watered down. The halls had whitish particulate matter all along the edges of the green carpet; it was never vacuumed during our 5 day stay and the last time was probably long before. They were doing renovations downstairs and this may have contributed to it. The water glasses in the room were styrofoam, and not replaced day to day—sometimes, we had to go downstairs to get new ones—the old ones disappeared. All in all, it was disappointing, and we would never stay there again (and we saw that it is going to be changed to a La Quinta, so we will never go under that name). Hotel was excellent. Very comfortable beds. The only issue was that our flight arrived late and we called to request a shuttle pick up. After waiting 20 mins., we called again to find out the driver was in the lobby and hadn't even left yet. Checked in early, around 10:00am and was given a room and did not have to wait until 3:00pm. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Was there for one night and did not experience the restaurant or lounge. Hotel is clean and well- kept. Hotel has free airport shuttle (tips accepted by driver, but no pressure to tip). The room was huge and very clean and comfy. Since it is such a huge hotel, it was a bit of a hike to make it to our room from the lobby, and some of the hallways were really hot, but otherwise no complaints. Stay was uneventful and comfortable. Upon getting to my room on the executive floor, discovered the bathroom was flooded. Was immediately put into an identical room on the same floor with no problems. Only hiccup was on checkout. I had received a hefty bill under the door for $89 for the 3 days of wifi for 2 devices. Thankfully I had printed out my […] voucher that listed wifi as complementary, AND had asked on checkin if there was a limit to the number of devices that was included and was told no, any number would connect. The front desk removed the charges in 2 seconds, and I was on my way. Very comfortable hotel, great location, attentive staff, drink, appetizer, and breakfast vouchers if on executive floor. Be careful of the airline crews in the hotel bar! They'll pull you into a good time even if you're only stopping in for a quick drink and appetizer!
