The Sheraton was just far enough away from the convention center that it made walking over for meetings tigh unless I allowed enough time. The Hotel lobby and ammenities were nice and well maintained, but my room was not as clean as it could have been and there was ongoing construction /remodeling going on on my florr making it very noisy and dirty. There were many workers roaming the halls and very load discussions. Working in the room was very difficult. In this day and age I was very surprised to find we had to pay for internet service in our rooms. What is the point of this if you offer it FREE in the lobby and biz center? I am not sure any hotel should want their lobby to look like a business refuge camp as people need to access the internet and the high cost of in-room service is more than they are willing to pay. All in all it was a room, with a shower & TV at a reasonable rate. The staff was very nice and very professional.

interior environment needs a lot of work; paint, no secruity safe box in the room, bathroom door wouldn't close, had great view but double glaze window seal was broken so fogged up and could not see clearly out, not enough chairs to meet need at pool side. I rated the service low, because we were only provided one small bar of soap for two adults for two days. We had to ask the maid for another bar of soap. I commented to my husband that this may be a money saving tactic. I think we should have had a fresh bar of soap for the second night. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable stay. The food, drinks and service in the hotel restuarant were excellent.

We did take taxis to visit a few places that were not within walking distance and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the fare was a flat $5 to go anywhere in the downtown area.

I booked the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre for my stay during the Indianapolis 500 weekend. It was perfectly situated. The parade route ran right by the hotel on Saturday, the hotel was within convenient walking distance to the restaurants, night clubs, shopping, and Circle Center monument, and there were festivities all around. What a perfect location! I didn't spend much time in my room, but the service was cordial and professional and the gentleman working at the hotel Starbucks in the morning was extremely helpful and friendly. My only area to note for improvement was the lenght of time I had to wait to check in (~ 15 minutes), but it was 11:00 on the Friday night before the race and there were a lot of travelers coming in for the event. My room was extremely quiet, which was great. The hotel was conveniently located to get the race track on Sunday for the Indy 500. It was a good value and I had a good stay!

Prices at this location were a little above what was expected. Parking was $23.00 per day so for a short weekend trip it was $46.00!! I could have parked 50 feet away for $10.00. Plus, upon my departure, the elevator to the parking garage was broken so I had to haul my luggage up to the 3rd floor because I did not want to leave it unattended in the lobby. Not happy about that at all!! Single pot of coffee -- $8.00 (not even room service price). Internet usage $12.00 for 24 hours -- it was not even wireless. There was no mention to this charge prior to logging on to the service. Most hotels I know of offer FREE internet plus its usually wireless. This hotel needs to get up with the times!! Overall, I was very disappointed with this hotel.

Although initially, the hotel did not have my reservation in the system, the clerk quickly cleared up the problem with the agent at hotels.com and then completed my check-in. I was given a room with a great view. There was a large conference going on at the hotel and the lobby was quite busy. Despite the number of people staying at the hotel, I was pleased with the fact that there was little noise during the night and the check-out process was quick and smooth.
