My husband and I live in San Antonio, but wanted a parents night out and chose this hotel based on price and close location to Riverwalk (very cheap cab ride). The directions from hotels.com were incorrect and very confusing, we had to stop and ask for directions. Every thing was clean except the drain in shower, but overall room was nice and very friendly staff. I would stay in this hotel again!

Our first stay in a Hotel, Sweet so, we thought. When we first got there, it was okay. My husband mentioned to me that he would sleep on the comforter and I said: "No we paid for the hotel room the least we could do is sleep in the bed between the sheets and he mentioned that he had watched a show on 20/20 and said some hotels did not wash everything and I told him, they probably have and I pulled back the sheets and to my dismay, I saw pubic hair, stains and some grit on the sheets like they forgot to change them or something! So I called downstairs to the office and complained about it and she said that she would send up housekeeping. The gentlemen came up with a top sheet and handed it to me and says here you go. "I said, excuse me you want me to change the sheets" I don't think so. He just looked at me like, well you want them changed so you change them. And He finally says okay I'll do it. and I said by the way you need a bottom sheet too! I showed him the mess in the bed and he said I will be back with the other sheets to change the whole bed. I was so angry that I called the office to complain about his attitude and that I wanted the coporate office number and the lady says well let me talk to my manager about it and see if we can resolve it before you call corporate office. She took like maybe 3 minutes and she said that her manager said that I needed to call corporate cause there was nothing that they would do about it. I called and reported it to corporate and the woman on the other line told me she was sorry that we went through that and that if we had not heard back from them within 7 days for me to call back and that they would probably resolve it then. I can't believe that that was our first time in a hotel room and thought it would be better than that, and To tell you the truth, I really believe that the manager was the one who came up the first time to change the sheets cause the next morning when we turned in the Key he was walking around the office

THE HOTEL HAS QUICK ACCESS TO THE FREEWAY AND IS VERY CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN. I ONLY RECOMMEND THIS ROOM IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE OUT AND ABOUT AND USING IT JUST TO SLEEP. THE BEDS AND PILLOWS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY .I WILL CONTINUE TO STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

We expected the worse because of the price we paid. With that in mind our room was a lot better then what we expected. We just needed it for overnight. We had a roof over our head and a bed to sleep in. Turned out some family members stayed at a nearby Motel 6 and had FLAT pillows. The pillows at Days Inn were fluffy.

The hotel was okay for the price we paid. The area does not appear to be too safe. I must say, though, that we were okay throughout our stay. The only thing I wasn't comfortable in was the bed; mattresses definitely need to be replaced every so often. The mattress was pretty worn out and was sagging in the center. I was getting ready to ask for another room but just decided to sleep in it, we were so exhausted after driving all night. I do want to add that upon our arrival, the front desk clerk told me he had given my room to somebody else because he thought we weren't coming. We arrived around 6am the morning after the reservation day. I don't think that was right because my room was paid up until 12 noon, which was checkout time. So I guess he gave me what he had left.

The hotel was great as far as location to the riverwalk which we wanted but the bed wasn't comfortable, there wasn't enough towels for two people to shower and people randomly would come knock on the door and try to get in during the day. The breakfast area was incredibly small as well. It was ok for the 2 days we slept there but they could have done a better job than they did.

Chose this Days Inn because the one near the Alamo was almost twice the price. It was located right next to the noisey I-35. If you stay here, try for a room on the quieter back side. The room was a little on the small side and warn but everything worked. Absolutely nothing of interest in this crummy location (that's why it's cheaper). It's about a 10 minute drive to the Riverwalk area. At the front desk, the woman at night was very pleasent but the morning one was hurried and all business. My main objection about this hotel was its location. I later discovered that you can do better for just a little more money and it would be worth it.
