Stayed here with the wife for the convenience of catching a musical in Downtown DC and a mini one-night romantic getaway. We were very pleased with the size and comfort of our room. I am big on cleanliness of hotel rooms and this hotel met my expectations. I would love to stay here again.

I have an issue when prior garbage from prior visitor is left in my room when i check in...In this case it was a balloon so it wasn't terrible but seriously how do they clean if they actually leave that there?

The only issue that I had with the hotel was that I reserved two queen beds through Expedia. When I checked in, they mentioned that they had no queen beds and only standard. Did not sleep well on the small beds!

First class hotel in the heart of our nation's capital. Easy access to the Metro and the White House vicinity. Terrific restaurants in the hotel and close by. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Hotel staff very professional and extremely helpful.

Great location for access to the White House, National Mall, and metro. Dining options around the hotel are limited, but Dupont circle is a short walk away. Parking prices are steep ($40/night) and self parking in the area is difficult. Nice and good sized rooms for in the district

Capital Hilton was a great place to stay, especially being so close to the Mall, White House and sites. One comment only--make WiFi free in the rooms, $13 for it? Ridiculous.

Even though I made a reservation for 2 queen beds, I was assigned to a room which only has one king bed because all the 2 queen beds rooms were full. Even though I was satisfied with the alternative room (1 king), I reserved for 2 queens so I am rating the overall as 4. Other than that it was great!

The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. They allowed us to check in early, which relieved my worries of leaving our belongings either in our car or with the bellhop. Parking was $40 for one night and then taxed ($45)! No vending machines, so I had to buy a $5 drink from their store. If you are going with friends, the beds are a foot apart, so no real privacy.

Overall, the Capital Hilton is a wonderful hotel. The service was fantastic, especially if you need to leave your bag after check out to do other things before leaving. Our stay at the Capitol Hilton was first class, the location so near to the White House and Mall put us roght in the middle of town and able to walk to the main attractions. The hotel was spotless, the service so efficient and unobtrusive. Special mention to check in and consierge service, what a great service.

Dinner @ the restaurant was delicious and service was great. TV had reception issues so they moved us to another room & comp'd our wifi for the hassle. Good service recovery. Would stay here again.

The room was for the most part clean and fresh. The drapes were worn and needed replacing. The hotel is very noisy even with the windows closed. The hotel had a very comfortable bed but the room and bathroom were very small (common for this area I suspect). Also, I was disappointed to be informed by the fitness center staff that I would have to pay to use the facilities (after being told this would be included for my Hilton Honors level).

The first thing that we encountered was that the toilet seat was loose and each time you sat on it, you slide to the side and felt very insecure. We called the front desk and was told someone will be up to fix it. We stayed 3 nights and no one came. The shower curtain had mildew on it and I wrote to the housekeeping to replace or clean it. One bathroom […] light fixture was out and the make up mirror was broken. Wrote this down too for the housekeeping. The note was taken, so they knew of our concerns. It's funny how almost every hotel has a card for travelers to right down comments of their stay, but the very one where you have concerns, there was no card. No pool or any outdoor spaces, such as a terrace for drinks. No dinner-time restaurant, but many nice places near by. Smallish, well-appointed room; noisy halls on weekends. Comfortable bed! Simple access to key sights/museums/mall.

I spent two nights here with a friend and it was perfectly sufficient. We spent most of the time sight-seeing and didn't spend much time in the hotel so I can't speak to staff service aside from check-in (which was fast and friendly). I have no complaints. Great location, clean room, great place to stay. I'd stay here again.
