"Would definately stay again"
Location was close to everything but in a nice quiet location. I was in crutches so had the handicapped room, the bathroom door was awkward. Loved the hot tub and restaraunt was delicious!

"Bad smell and Unjustified charges"
The hotel rooms have a bad smell that never goes away. They also charge for parking $35 dollars a day... this is not justified. If you book a hotel room why do you have to pay to park your car and you are part of the residents during your stay?????? Moreso such a high fee. You also have pay resort fee. I have never seen anything like this before. I will not be staying here again.

"One night stay"
Stayed in room 721, room with balcony facing the bay, great views, a little musty upon first entrance, but opening the sliding door and turning on the air for a few minutes to circulate the room helps, elevator sounds can be heard from the room when quiet throughout the night, possibly sounds of the cables sliding up/down.

"Very disappointing! Not a spa for sure!"
This hotel is advertised as a spa. That is a tremendous stretch! When we arrived the hotel looked nice and kept up. Away from downtown but still close enough. It was that but service was terrible. We got to the hotel and took showers to freshen up. We noticed that there wasn't a hair dryer. I asked the front desk if they could send one to our room. 6 hours later I had to call again and ask again, finally they brought us one. The gym is a tiny, approximate, 10 X 30 room with minimal equipment. Two of the four days we went to the pool there were no towels or someone at the pool to ask. On one day I waited for about 30 minutes to see if someone would come out. I finally had to go to the front desk to ask for towels for the pool. Ten minutes later a lady came out with a fresh batch of clean towels. When I told her thank you for the towels she told me that the towels that were sitting there in the laundry basket were clean as well. Not exactly spa like! There also is no water anywhere by the pool. My family and I walked on the beach that they advertise with the hotel. I've been on a lot of beaches but have never been on one quite like this one. It was smushy like sewage and as you walk down you'll find a overflow waste pipe. Probably last on my list was the fact that the hotel is only about 5 miles from the airport but they have no pick up or drop off service. Oh, excuse me, they do but there is a charge for that service.

"Location is very good, close to many attractions."
The staff was helpful with information on the many local attractions. One of the restaurants was being redone and was under construction for the whole week we were there. The lighting in our room left a lot to be desired. One of the lights didn't work at all and was not repaired despite our several requests to put in a new bulb or find the cause of it not working. The parking fee and "resort fee" seemed a bit excessive.

"Great location"
The hotel was located in a great location. I 5 was right there so getting around was a breeze. The lighting in our room was terrible...very dim. I hate rain shower heads because there no pressure. The water was on full hot and it was still not hot enough for me.

"Pleasant surprise"
I was very surprised how beautiful the hotel was. I was there for the 3 day walk for Susan G Komen and was surprised the room did not come with a bath. But I worked around that. The double shower head in the room was awesome after walking 20+ miles. I was a tad disappointed in the cleaning of the room, for instant there was a smudge on the mirror that was untouched each day. But overall I would enjoy to come back to this hotel to actually visit and enjoy the area.

"Less than average hotel"
I got to the hotel very late and tired to realize there was power outage and all the staff told me was my resort fee would be waived. I felt that was insensitive because everything is not about money. The bath was dirty with hair strands and WC wouldn't flush. Informed the housekeeper but nothing was done. The plumbing issue was eventually sorted out.

"Nice hotel close to water and parks"
Facilities and grounds were well kept. The The room was comfortable. The parking fee is outrageous. That high fee will make me not want to come back. Make sure the the receptionist tells you that your parking permit is enclosed with your room key because you will get a parking ticket with the threat of towing your vehicle if she doesn't. Unfortunately, my receptionist never told me and I got the ticket.

"Nice but too many added fees"
Nice hotel. You can tell the buiding is older but it's been updated with new decor. The location was great. I would like to stay here in the summer when we can use the facilities more. It's disappointing you have to pay the $22.50 per night resort fee even if you're not using the resort (pool, tennis, gym). I was also disappointed in the $35 per night parking fee. All the hidden costs make a family vacation very expensive. The lobby did help me out with discounted two day passed to Sea World so that was helpful and saved me some $$.

"Nice hotel on Mission Bay, San Diego, Ca."
Very nice facilities and staff, swimming pool area was great, plenty of lounge seating and cabanas. Very good restaurant and bar on property, good food and service. Close to old town, Gaslamp district and Mission/ Pacific beaches. Need to have a rental care to get to these locations (not within walking distance) or taxi/ shuttle services are available but will cost you $20 each way.

Hotel was OK. The room itself was very clean, but a few things were out dated including the bathroom. We also checked out happy hour and finally found it outside of the pool area and it was pretty much a restaurant with still pricy drinks and apps with few selections.

"Not so happy."
The best thing about the hotel is its location. You have way too many fees. Parking should be free (or at least factored into the advertised room rate). Cannot believe all the stuff you charge for. Room appeared clean, but when put under a black light it was horrible. Carpet was hardly vacuumed and seems like forever since it has had a shampoo. We typically stay at Marriotts. This was an opportunity to encourage us to switch. When looking for hotels, Hilton wont be topping our list.

"beautiful hotel room, with the view to match!"
It was one of the best experiences i have had traveling. The staff was on point and payed attention to every detail. Room service, servicing the room when we wanted and making sure we could extend in the same room. The bed was heaven to sleep on and the patio was amazing the amenities were overwhelming. The pool and hot tubs, restaurant down stairs, soo very good. We honestly couldn't of asked for better and are 99.9 percent going to return.

"Great Place for Family Vacation"
We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 children. This hotel was in a great location and we all loved the pool area! We stayed in a waterfront villa, would highly recommend spending the extra money! Great views! For the price, the rooms could be updated a little. We also thought the charge for parking was much higher than surrounding hotel properties. I also wish there was a coin laundry on site as well as more child/family friendly food choices. We had to go out to find more affordable food for our family. We loved the San Diego area and will most likely stay at this hotel the next time we visit.

"Outrages prices for extras!!!"
Extra charges for everything! chairs, $35 parking per night, $22 daily resort fee, firewood, the extra prices were outrages. One of our family members was charged three times for there room.

"To many extra charges"
I found it ridiculous that they charged us on top of what we paid through Expedia for the room an extra $26.00 per day for hotel amenities. Its not like you can opt out of the hotel amenities so why is this not rolled into the cost of the room. Then another $35.00 per day to park on the property OUTSIDE. No wash no valley parking just find a spot on your own which was very difficult late at night we had to park very far from our room many nights. For 5 nights they added about $300.00 in extra charges that I wasn't expecting to pay. I don't think I would go back to this hotel for that reason.

Very disappointing stay. Stayed for a friend's Birthday - the front desk could have cared less. The room was fine with a view of the water, but the pool was packed with small diaper wearing children when there was a Kids pool available. They also charge extra pricing fees for parking and a general resort fee which were not mentioned until check out. I would not stay here again.

Would have felt better if the Hotel didnt charge 35/day for parking. Also if hotels.com includes info about parking costs. Loved being able to rent a boat right at the hotel marina! Pool was nice but the heated pool water temperature was a bit cold.

"In mission bay but not in a nice part of it"
Some parts of the hotel looked nice but some parts were clearly a bit older. I like "charming" and "vintage" but you could tell some areas of the hotel were just older. The elevators smelled weird and part of the room was clearly a bit old. The toilet and faucet were half broken in our room and the entry way of the room looked a bit dated. I'll admit that once your in the part of the room with the beds and tv, it was more updated but I didn't enjoy the location of this hotel. It was "near" the beach part of the bay, however it is the most eastern part of the bay and right next to the freeway. I wouldn't recommend this hotel but that's because it's considered a "4-star" hotel

The rates for this hotel indicate high quality, but our stay overall was average. The prices look low but with $24.75/day in 'resort fees' to cover use of the internet, pool and fitness center (who charges extra for those??) and an additional $35/day for parking, it becomes quite expensive quite fast. They also held $100/night for incidentals, but did not really say what the holding charge was for initially. Staff was ok. There is also a fee for in-room delivery. Our room did not have a microwave, which definitely would have improved our stay (lots of leftovers).

"Hotel Needs updating"
Have stayed at this hotel previously, the location is very good, the room we were placed in was in dis repair. The lighting was very dark and the ceiling had a hole in it. I would say that the room and furnishings have not been updated for several years, same as when we stayed there a couple of years ago. Parking rates have increased and I don't understand why self parking would be $35.00 per day. You can park in New York City for $35.00 per day.

Parking was $35 a night which they didn't tell us beforehand, however, they didn't really enforce it. The hotel bed was comfortable, it was a nice dark room. The staff were ok. If you wanted to take the shuttle it was as expensive as a cab to go anywhere. There was no where to walk to for food or anything so if you want to go anywhere you must drive, take cab, or shuttle. Hotel food was soso.

"Very nice hotel."
The hotel itself including the room was extremely nice. My family and I were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice and helpful and the view was pretty nice as well. Overall we really didn't have any problems with the hotel or the staff. The shuttle was free to and from Sea World. Anywhere else it was a small charge, usually cheaper than a taxi and much more comfortable to take. And the fact that it sat right next to the bay was nice, as was the pool. The only reason I gave this hotel a 4 star review was due to our only issue. Which was the lack of dining options at and within the vicinity of the hotel. The options were limited to say the least. We were really left paying a ton of money to eat in their restaurant which was almost as much as 2 nights at the hotel. Because we flew in and had no transportation we were left with the options to eat there, pay a hefty amount for a taxi, to and from, or try and find somewhere that delivered. We opted for the delivery option one of the nights. But were more or less forced to eat at their restaurant the other 2 nights. It would have been nice if they had a grille that offered the basic, simple, finger foods and options.

"Not professional"
I show up to check in and to get told my room was not clean. I had payed for one night 2 months earler, and we asked to have the two room side by side and that didn't happen. Then was told I would have to wait 20min for it to be clean. And this all being that I was 45 min there after check in time. We where so disappointed we left a day earlier. I will never stay there again if I don't some kind of refund. And they never asked if I had a points card.

Great hotel, great location but beware of all the hidden fees! Call before you book! Parking and resort fees are ridiculous!

"Nice hotel with boardwalk and beach"
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place that has a pool, firepits, beach and boardwalk. Excellent accomodations.
