We loved it! However, the AC in our room was terrible. It was my husband and my 2 teenagers. The room never got below 74 degrees and it blew the whole time we were there, 3 days. I had it set on 65 the entire time. The location was great, easy walking distance to everything downtown. Only thing is if you stay on the lower floors, be prepared to stay […] up until the bar downstairs closes. We didnt get to sleep until after 2 am and we couldnt sleep with the door open to cool off bcos of the rowdiness downstairs. Overall, it is a nice hotel. We took a last minute spring break getaway with our kids. This hotel is right on the Riverwalk. Very nice, clean, courteous staff, quick room service too! It is downtown and on the Riverwalk, so it's a little noisy at night. Overall, great experience, we would stay here again!

My family stayed here 4 years ago and came back for the 2nd time. They have done some beautiful upgrades to the rooms since our first visit making this an even better hotel! Perfect Riverwalk location, too! The only reason I didn't give them a perfect score was because we had two rooms on our reservation, but one wasn't ready at check-in, which was […] about 4:30pm. Room looks nice and up to date. I like the moderate wood trim and deco wood stuff. The deal breaker is we did not have a/c in the room. It was not a hot day, but we sleep in a warm room.

The hotel is in a great location. It seem to be central to everything including Riverwalk, down town shops, the Alamo, the shopping mall, food, etc. Direct access to Riverwalk from the hotel and room key access back into the hotel from Riverwalk. My stay was very pleasant in Hilton Palacio del Rio. If you are not going to use the hotel valet service, I suggest other travelers to ask what floor you need to park your car, otherwise you will be charged double fee. (The hotel's parking floor is #7)

Overall we enjoyed our stay. There were a couple things that we had to call to have addressed- only had 2 towels, there weren't any bags for the ice bucket. The staff was very nice and took care of things once requested. I was kind of irked that on our last morning housekeeping tried to enter our room at 9 am when checkout is at noon. We have a toddler […] who was cooperating enough to sleep in, thus allowing us to sleep in which was wonderful.....except for housekeeping trying to open the door. I wish I could have had the opportunity to watch the movie I rented more than one time. Unfortunately, I fell asleep during the movie, and felt as though I wasted my money. Why don't you give the guest the opportunity to watch it over again for 24 hours like my Satellite TV does.

The hotel lobby was decent. The room was clean. Not very much traffic coming in and out of hotel. Very quite. Location is great. Right in the middle of all the shops and attractions. I could walk easily to all the shops, restuarants, and attractions within 50 to 300 yards. i would stay here again because of location.

Our family stayed there to celebrate New Year's Eve. This celebration usually welcomes 250,000 people to see entertainment, fireworks, live music etc. We were about 50 yards away from all the excitement. We had an awesome time & we were super pleased with the hotel and staff.:)

Everything about hotel was great. Location,Staff and room. One big drawback, Main air ventillation makes a large (constant)humming noise that starts at elevator shaft and then softens to end rooms. First Room issued was dead center. Felt like staying next to a 747 outside. Called front desk, they acted like it was a new issue and would send engineer. […] Engineer never arrived. Went to front desk and got omved 1/2 down hall. Hum still there but at manageable level for sleep. It is beautifull hotel, hopefully this issue gets fixed. Read more
