"Executive level not worth the price!"
Great location, service not aligned w the price. We checked in 4 persons. No mini bar, not enough towels, cold bed sheets. Executive level facilities and breakfast absolutely not worth the price - very simple and cheap breakfastGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location Location Location"
Hilton is a great brand and you can always depend on a consistent quality. In the last four years Ive stayed at this hotel when I visit NY. Its a good place to stay. Overall, the condition of the rooms and the property is good. I have seen the hotel upgrade here and there and continue to keep up with updating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location. Easy to find. Easy to park."
Delightful time, close to everything I needed. Helpful staff. Loved the room. Just left my suv in the garage and rolled right up to my room. Would stay there again definitely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, but the bedding was not comfortable"
The location of this hotel is very convenient for business travelers like me. But the bedding was not at all comfortable. Maybe I have been spoiled by comfy bedding at other hotels, but I am disappointed by the thin blankets on my bed. Also, my room had a funny hospital smell.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, good service, clean and comfortable"
The location is very convenient to both Times Square and Rockefeller Center, as well as the MoMA. The desk staff was very accommodating, I had two separate reservations, one over the weekend for personal use and one on my corporate account for the conference, and they were able to combine them so I could stay in the same room with minimal fuss. Only […] two minor criticisms, first the speed of the elevators, which was often ridiculously slow. Second, the walls weren't particularly thick, so that I was able to clearly hear the discussion of the couple in the room next to me, which wouldn't have been an issue if they didn't keep the same hours as hamsters. We had a nice stay. Clean, comfortable room...decent size for NYC, especially for the price. Great location! We've stayed here before & definitely will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mother's Day Gift"
Every year, my mother and I spend the day before Mother's Day in Manhattan. We see a ply and have a great dinner, but the most important part of the trip is the hotel. The Hilton was terrific to us and our room gave us a view of Central Park. We couldn't have been happier with the overnight stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to american girl"
Great hotel for an overnight visit after going to american girl store. Beautiful room. Kind and helpful staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is close to everything. It's a bit pricey for what we got but so are most rooms in NYC! The room was nice and comfortable and had part of the view of Central Park, which was beautiful...IT was also very quiet, which is an achievement in downtown Manhattan. I do recommend this hotel if you need to see some sights and can walk a bit. It is […] also around the corner from the Empire State Building landmark. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
For a hotel with 2,000 rooms, it is remarkably efficient. But a lack of eating facilities leaves a bit to be desired. I often prefer to rely on in-house restaurants when travelling on business. This property has only one. A pretty good if uninspiring breakfast, saved by the enthusiasm of the chef doing the excellent Spanish omelette with extra cheese. […] That's something special to look out for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My reservation for which I provided to hotel.com an $deposit months earlier was not honored. My reservation was for 2 rooms with 2 beds each at $807 per night. I called early in the day to reconfirm and to state i would arrive late 10 pm. When I arrived I was told only two beds were available. I stated that was unacceptable. The agent went into the […] office. After 15 minutes another person was offered a room with 2 beds. When I complained that agent went to the office. Eventually I was given 3 beds with a promise of 4 the next night. In the morning as directed I moved out if the room gave the key at desk and asked wheni could move into the new room. I was told that a time couldn't be given.. When I returned after touring. I was told my room had been given away because I didn't return by 6 pm even though my credit card etc was still being charged a night. After much inconvenience a room was found. It wasn't a pleasant experience Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Upscale and convenient"

Wonderful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My reserved room was sold out."
I rented the room with two beds, three months ago and when I got there, the room was not available. My daughter and her boyfriend slept on a queen-size bed, and I had to sleep on a roll away bed in the middle of the hall before the front door in the hotel room. I was very uncomfortable and angry but there was nothing that they could do for me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Big and noisy standard hotel. Location is good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed being in NY. Midtown Hilton was ok. The check in line was very slow. When we asked for a room on a higher floor…..we were put on the 5th. There was broken glass on the bathroom floor that was there when we checked in. It was, however, cleaned up quickly when we called. The wallpaper was peeling a bit. Our neighbors were screaming and yelling […] at 1 am. Again the staff handled it quickly. Though the facilities in the hotel are lovely, our little corner of the Hilton wasn't. I just felt that I was overcharged every time I turned around. Buying anything in the hotel was ridiculously overpriced. The location in midtown is very crowded. So it was often a long wait for the elevator with everyone crushed in. in the lobby and out on the streets, more crush of mobs of people. The housekeeping staff was very nice but the staff […] in the lobby, probably due to the mob scene, was mostly cold and impersonal, although there were a three refreshing exceptions. Wifi does not come with the very expensive room, nor does coffee or a refrigerator. One of the refreshing exceptions was a complimentary fridge and some coffee coupons provided by the staff person who checked me in. It is a nice enough hotel and convenient to the event I was attending yet I will stay elsewhere next time due to the cost and the mob scene. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value, great location"
We got a great rate on this hotel, and were very satisfied with our stay. The location was terrific, and the hotel property was as advertised. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
NY Hilton @ 53rd St NO LONGER has traditional big hotel room service DO NOT expect to be able to get anything to eat between 10:30 PM & 5:30 AM not GREAT for business travelers coming in late or leaving early Hotel is fine if you are in a tour group or a teenager on your class trip NOT THE HILTON I have come to depend upon for a GREAT stay in NYCGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Early check in. Hotel was clean. Room was perfect. Only complaint is they charge a fee to store your luggage. I travel a lot an have never been charged a storage fee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Filled with tourists"
A very busy hotel in a very busy location. The hotel is convenient to Broadway and mid-town Manhattan. The lobby is filled with tourists and their families. The condition is OK, but on the worn side, and like everything in Manhattan it is pricey. Like elsewhere in Manhattan, there may not be many alternatives at the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is the same as many years ago. It has not changed, and has not really modernized. Would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Got a free upgrade. Staff was super helpful. Room was clean!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Just what we wanted"
I just needed a place to start our daily walks throughout the city. It was clean, the staff was friendly and all was as I thought it should be.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful, spacious and comfortable"
With great amenities for the Executive Level floors; access to the Executive Lounge on the first floor, with breakfast at no extra charge and afternoon snacks and beverages (alcohol extra, but reasonable). Walking distance to Times Square, MoMA, Central Park, Radio City, Rockefeller Center - darn near perfect!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Be advised that the buffet breakfast for two cost $90.01.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I enjoyed the Hilton very much! Everything you need is at you front door. Walk to everything. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Had a great time!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is in a great spot. Easy access (as far as NYC goes!), Great service and friendly staff. Busy, Busy lobby and guest services area, but again it is NYC afterall. We stayed with our 14yr old in a corner room, super quiet, great views and price was considerably less than the London down the street. Only negative was the Hotel is showing its […] age some, but the room was still nice and served its purpose. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in a good location. I'm a tourist, but don't enjoy the chaos of Time Square. Short walk to Central Park, Lincoln Center & lots of shopping venues. Lots of good restaurants around too. The hotel food joint was pretty high priced for basic food. Other than that good place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to all must-see sights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
i hated not to have wifi in the room!!!!!!!!!! besides that is the perfect hotel for your stay in NYC!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"3 night stay"
Carpet in room was freshly steamed and not yet dry. Did not fully dry in the 3 nights we were there therefore room smelled musty. Hallways had maintenance issues, need repairs and upgrades. Room was clean. Herb N Kitchen restaurant had good selection for breakfast lunch or dinner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect location to everything"
Staff was very helpful, attentative and nice. Had some maintenance issues with restroom but staff addressed. Clean, comfortable and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do (MoMA, 30 Rock, theatres, etc.) Will definately go back but will be more cognizant of the timing of spring break!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Old Hotel Needs Refurbish"
Is pretty well located, I think aging has affected the performance, some refurbishing could help improve stay experience. Very low key ammenities, no coffee machine in room. So I think you pay high prices for being in NYC, but unmatched to what you get.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice for a hotel in NY"
The experience was fine. Only issue is that there was a smell of mildew in the bathroom. It was clean but had an odor.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It's the largest hotel in the city for a reason"
Surprisingly good .. the only thing that is a little annoying are the longish lines at check in and check out timeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our visit to the Hilton"
When we arrived at 10 pm we checked into our room at the front desk and nothing was said about our reservation but when we went to our room we had one bed and a sofa bed with no sheets on it. I called the front desk and they said they had up grated us to a king and sofa instead of two doubles but there were no rooms available for that night so we had […] to wait until the next night to change which meant we could not un pack and get ready for our early morning. We only had one glass for 3 people. There were people in the halls all night talking and laughing until after 4 in the morning on our first night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Decent hotel with great location"
Very good location where you can walk to a lot of things. The only drawback is that it is a very big hotel and therefore very crowded. At times it was hard to get an elevator down to the lobby. We ended up waiting for 10 minutes! Also, they don't have a restaurant in the hotel. They have two bars with light food. However, there are several good restaurants […] within minutes of the hotel so I guess that is not a big issue. Small things that annoyed me in the room were, only 1 night stand by the beds so if you sleep two in one queen bed, on one side there is no place to put anything. Also, almost no counter space in the bathroom. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"2 days shopping in Manhattan"
Location location location. 2 Starbucks one sundry shop and all the shopping you need within walking distance. Nice bar too. Wife loved their toiletries. Can't go wrong with this.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Too much noise"
We stayed on the 19th floor of the hotel. We could hear the voices of those staying in the room next to us plus even from the 19th floor, the noise from the street was very loud. Also, we could not get the room cool enough.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No air conditioning"
It's obviously a nice hotel, but I'll never stay there again. After trying to lower the room temperature for over an hour, I finally called downstairs to ask why it was over 70 degrees in my room when I had it set on 65. I told them that I was very uncomfortable, but they replied that the building had only made the heating available, not the air conditioning. […] Keep in mind that it was already April...and this is the Hilton. I opened the window as they told me to, but the sound of honking and sirens was unbearable. I hardly slept that night.
