The hotel was fine. Room was big but bed was an uncomfortable murphy bed which was really dusty and dirty where the wall meets the hydraulics. We reserved a King size room and the bed was a queen (at best). Pool was lackluster (ie not as big as pictures made it seem). DJ (was a bore and didn't know his era's). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. […] Appreciated the discount on "going green" for not making daily use of housekeeping. BIGGEST REASON for low rating: THE TIMESHARE TACTICS!!! Avoid them at all costs. They woo you with "deals" on shows and a free future vacation but there are many, many strings! The free shows were actually "Buy 1 Get 1" and you only get your $75 voucher AFTER you compete a 90 minute preview tour where they force feed you info on how YOU SHOULD buy a timeshare with them. BE WARNED... they will try to keep you much longer than 90 minutes!!! Just say "NO thank you" when the "Welcome Desk" sends one of their super smiley advisers over to you for "free stuff". Unless you're into timeshares.... who knows, it might be worth it for those who can afford it. BONUS: Westgate hotel had easy access to the monorail which was really useful being we were so far up the strip. Monorail passes are worth it if you want to avoid driving and have unlimited access to the best casinos and hotels. I'd stay again if I could avoid the timeshare vultures. I enjoy my stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Was quite disappointed with our stay here. Check in staff was very rude. Room smelt like smoke and plumbing was bad. Paid for resort suite and felt no different then basic rooms beside access to fitness center and snacks between certain hours. Hopefully it will improve after remodel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was very satisfied with the Westgate, would stay there again, and would refer friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had the worst service of any hotel"
This hotel was a joke. I always stay at the palazzo, but I wanted to stay where my convention was located. The room was nasty, smelled like mildew. The toilet was broke and it took 2 days of calling to get someone to service it. The shower leaked and there was water on the floor in puddles. First night the remote was broke and I called 6 times to get […] it replaced and they said they would be.right up. Was replaced on the next day. There were a handful of people staying there and I talked with 4 different couples and they had the same bad service. I will never stay there again. Terrible management. i was completely satisfied because i had a room next to the elevator and because it had a refrigerator in the room which was important to me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Cleanliness of room was fine but the curtain from the big window did not work, and actually I had to use a chair to reach the curtain and use a clip to hold it in place so to avoid the sun hitting my face in the mornings. "A nice, clean hotel off of the strip"
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past, and it was just as pleasant this time as before. If you want to avoid the hustle & bustle of the strip but still be close to the entertain, this is the place to stay. The only thing that we didn't like was the sales people for the timeshares standing in the hallways, and asking if you were […] interested in attending the time share presentations. It wasn't constant, but it was enough for us to get a little annoyed. Other than that, everything was excellent! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Newly remodeled? not really"
So we booked this hotel for a weekend family getaway with our two teens. Online price and pics were decent. But when we got there, we got the view of the back side of Vegas. You could see and feel the springs from the mattress so a good night sleep was not going to happen. Coffee wasn't free. There was a coffee machine (Keurig) but if you take their […] coffee and cup the hotel charged $3.00. Same thing with bottle water they put in the room. $3. They have enough towels for 2 people, so a call to housekeeping was made to double the towels. The shower needed more water pressure. As for the rest of the hotel, the casino is decent and has a non smoking section. The pool area is huge and there are plenty of lounge chairs to layout and get some sun. The pool is small compared to it's surroundings. The pool area needs to be updated. It looks old. The picture of the pool online looked better online than in person. "They gave our room away"
My party arrived at 8:30 pm and the room I reserved had already been given away. We got shoved into smaller room. Only with some discussion was it agreed upon that we would have a larger room the following night. . .which made us have to come back to the room to switch out all of our belongings the following afternoon. Spacious room ( reserved 2 beds but we were placed in 1 bed...that's why its spacious ) . Housekeeping should take care of the back of the headboard , the space between wall and our headboard is about 15 inches : Bed is a Fold -up style bed ....if you look at that space it was gray ( because its full of dust ) ...bathroom wall : at the tub area's wall […] , we found a ball of hair sticking on it.Some things are good: thanks to the person at the desk when I complained about not having 2 beds as I reserved, he sent a free roll away bed for my teenagers.Coffee needs some better quality, it taste like cardboard. This beautiful historic hotel needs to fix its plumbing. Our room was very nice and spacious and I was excited to see a gorgeous big bath tub...but the faucet didn't work so I couldn't enjoy the bath. "you get what you pay for?"
Overall its a nice and pretty hotel. There was a 22 dollar charge on top of the 80 we spent through hotels.com, however they tried to charge us 50 which we didn't realize until we got our daughter and selves to the room. Along with that issue, almost everything in the room charges you, $4 for water, $10 for the safe, $10 a night for a mini fridge, 3.50 […] to use the keurig coffee machine.... our non smoking room smelled like weed and our bathroom counters were so dusty. On the bright side we had an amazing view. However, I'd rather go somewhere where thsy dont force you to pay for tons of stuff when you are already paying tons for an almpst useless room. "Went on the 2nd day it became "Westgate""
The only positive was the size of the room & the incredible rate i got through hotels.com! Cocktail service @ the casino is TERRIBLE! Expect to see a waitress once every hour (if you're lucky). The lady @ the players club sign up was rude as well (we just walked away). The tub had mold and the room was 'tired' and had a moldy smell. To say the faucet in the tub was dripping is an understatement. Even though we alerted the management on the first day of a four day stay, they never addressed the problem. Bell staff gave wrong directions. Hotel was said to have direct access to the convention center-it did not. I was […] disappointed to learn of the high resort fees and a fee to make coffee in the room. "Very good for business"
Clean hotel, room was super quiet and enough restaurants to give me variety. Only complaint would be charging for lots of things - use of safe, internet, etc. But all-in-all, a real good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I will never stay at LVH again. The coffee pots don't work. The T,V. not only didn't work but when it did there were only music stations available. "Meh, if you have to go to Vegas..."
30 minute wait to check in! I understand this was a conference, but the hotel did not seem to have planned ahead. Very bad first impression. Then the nickel-and-diming began. $3.50 to use the in-room coffee maker? $15 per day *per device* for wifi? Ridiculous. Service at the Paradise Cafe was pretty bad in the early AM. "Super-cost-effectivness for family vacation"
Me and my family are not in gambling. Just came to Vegas to visit and see. The hotel was ideal for us - not on the strip but has its own monorail station; comfortable room and quick service on every call; swimming pool to rest and enjoy; and when they said we get a non-smoking room, it was really smoke free and not a non-smoked-in-the-last-12-hours […] room.
