"Avoid this hotel if you can"
The shower does not work; everything from water, coffee in the room has a pricy charge. The service is slow, long lines, service personnels were rude. At the end they hand you a "resort fee" charge, which I was not aware of when booking the hotel. They are scammers. Avoid them.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"YOU WILL PAY A "RESORT" FEE....BEWARE!!!"
The room was ok but what irritated me was when the room was booked there was no mention of a so called "resort" fee. When I went to check in I was told of this fee and that this was to give me internet for one device during my stay. I said I dont need the internet but was told this was a mandatory fee that I could do nothing about. It was 18 dollars […] a day, then tax on that so just know that there will be a fee attached to your room if you decide to stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fine as a convention hotel"
Certainly has lost any glitz it had but rooms were fine with a nice view. Resent the $18 "resort" fee (the wifi that it included did not play well on my IPad for some reason. The in-room coffee was nice, getting charged for bottled water we did not use was not! Parking is great at the Hilton, right next to North Tower. Overall it was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Las Vegas Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay and especially the lounge area on the 24th floor. We were only disappointed about the availability of no ice machine on our floor. We look forward to our return visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"This hotel has become a dump!"
The best thing, its convenience to the LV Convention Center. However, the hotel seems to be sinking into disrepair - It seems more like Circus Circus, the dumpiest hotel on the Las Vegas strip I have ever stayed in. The room I was given felt like it was decorated once - back when this old hotel was built. It was musty and dirty. The bathroom was really […] shabby and the water pressure, especially the hot water, was really low - you had to run around the shower catching the drops - or so it felt. The carpet was really old and dirty, with a big red stain in the bathroom carpet. This shabbiness extends to the hallways. Carpets were old and grungy. And it even extends to the elevator buttons. When I walked into the lobby the first time, I tried to push the button, only it wasn't there - I was just a hole where the button used to be! On check out, I looked at my bill and noticed that there was a daily charge of $18.00 over the rate for a resort fee! Resort fee? Dump fee is more like it! I did not notice any "resort!" Just dirt and a money sucking casino, which in itself more than compensates the hotel for its "resort fee." I asked Jerry at the checkout desk about it and he gave me a really condescending lecture about how I was an idiot for not reading the small print when I booked online. Really Jerry? He was the rudest person I have ever met at a hotel reception. So after many stays at the LVH, this was definitely my last! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great vegas deal"
Last minute reservation had me concerned. But once we saw the hotel and the spotless room, we were very relieved. Our first stay at the LVH made us book another stay before we even checked out. The food was great at the restaurant and coffee shop had fantastic mochas.(who needs Starbucks)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Rude rude rude"
The people who work there are very rude. You don't tip enough and they curse you out almost in your face. Way to rudeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Checked in and when we got in our room the bed wasn't made nor the room clean we called to get it done it took us 3 phone calls to finally get someone to goGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was old and dirty. Amenities were few and very low standard. When mentioning this to a staff member, I was told that the hotel is in receivership by its bank which is operating the facility until they could find a buyer after taking it over years ago from a bankrupt entity. Building was old, un-kept, not upgraded, and the gaming was limited. […] Many old 80's style slots machines. Service was average except for the check in staff who were friendly. Carpets were filthy, bathroom had mold around the tub and shower, beds and furniture were old and damaged. Would never stay here again regardless of the price. Buyer beware! great deal in the rooms, good hotel, excellent service, we enjoyed our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel was fine, service not so much."
The quality of the room was satisfactory. The check-in process and trying to get food was definitely below standard. Probably would not stay in this hotel again. The industry convention was held here, it will not be held here again. The hotel was fine the room was clean, the toilet had paper in it and needed to be flushed. The whole experience was just […] below what one would expect from a large hotel in Vegas. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"horrible stay at the LVH"
upon arrival my husband and I were sent a confirmation email stating what charges we would have to pay once we checked in the hotel. we were told we'd have to pay "spa fee`s " well We payed $35 for a booklet that contained several useless coupons. and a free one time internet sign in. The hotel had no spa anything. when we got into our room it was very […] small. with two doors leading into the rooms we were between. the refrigerator was old and very loud. The bathroom had an awful yellow light and a dirty tub. the bed was dirty as we found hairs in our sheets. We tried to cancel are stay but we were told that we,would forfeit our payment and our deposit. we were told that we could change rooms but I was so irritated by the rude service that I decided to deal with it. the hotel is also not on the strip. But several blocks away. I will never stay at tge LVH again . They have a rodent problem while I walk to my car a rat ran out of the bushes this happened to me twice!!! "Great stay for the price!"
Although the LVH is located off the strip the monorail makes it extremely easy to get to and from the strip! The room was very spacious and the bed was very cozy! They only complaint I have was the parking! We drove 3 hours to get there and it took another 45 mins just to get to the parking garage to park due to a concert they had going on there and […] the cluster it caused for parking. "not what I expected"
Horrible experience, first off bell man was drunk and had a strong alcohol smell. Second I paid for a non smoking room but the sheets smell like smoke. I ordered a new cover and pillow, which took 1 1/2 hours to arrive. The key machine was broke( they claim updating), so I never even got a key. I wont stay again. After one night I checked out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
hidden charges, air conditioned not working, etc, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The price was right. The room was a bit outdated but then again how much time do you actually spend in the room while in vegas. Having the Monorail right outside was a plus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was alright and when I checked I they charged me another $40 service fee for internet access coupon book and other things. Internet service did not work with my iPad and coupon book had many restrictions when trying to use them.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"near strip without being so close to the crowd"
the rooms was acceptable; the only problem I had was I am a morning coffee person and like to drink coffee and watch the morning news, before I dress and prepare for the day; and was very surprise that I had to purchase the coffee in the room in order to use the coffee maker.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"the customer service was horrible"
This hotel is suppose to be remodeled. .. nNot!!!!. The rooms was too small, tub had stains that were old. The bottom of the bathroom door was never repainted looked real old. To top all this off when we told management we were not happy they did nothing!!! Only when we called for the 3rd time to explain how unhappy and frustrated we were with the small […] beds. . We did get a little response...can you believe that the wanted to charge $3.50 for coffee I'm your room. .. just outrageous. .ill never stay there again. The LVH won't do anything to completely blow you away, but they won't do anything to completely upset you either. The check in process was average and the staff was cordial, but when trying to engage the agent, I was met with one word answers and had to dig to get them to laugh or explain things. The players club attendants were very similar. The rooms […] were clean and very comfortable, although the housekeeping staff ignored our do not disturb sign and knocked to find out when we wanted service, which I felt was quite rude. The access to the monorail was very nice and made getting to the strip quite easy. The LVH seems to be trying to find its identity since losing the Hilton branding, which leaves one confused amidst old Star Trek themes and hodge podged updates from the past two decades. "It's nice for the price"
The hallways reminds me of Caesar's Palace old wings so it is nice for the price. The first room I was assigned had a noisy a/c fan and I called front desk. They said they will send housekeeping to come fix it but no one came. So, I came down and asked for a change in room. The 2nd room that I got had the sun blackout curtains unmaintained - I mean […] the curtains had damaged hooks so the left and right side curtains had a portion of the curtains dropping, hence, they won't fully close the blanks to black out the sun. Otherwise a nice hotel for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Some days do not clean up the room"
This has been my worst experience in a hotel in Las Vegas between 10 hotels that I have visited, one of the days during my stay the room wasn't cleaned and no body took care about the complaint. The food in the paradise restaurant was terrible, bad taste and delayed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than expected"
Fast courteous check-in. easy check-out. clean rooms. good food court and shops. walking distance from the strip. great rate for hotel stay!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was Very nice, clean, large, great views. Liked that it was on the Monorail line, close to the strip made it easy to get around. The only drawback was that you get charged for amenities like the gym even if you don't plan on using then on a short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In need of some upkeep"
Great location for the event I attended, but that's about it. My room had visible mold in the ceiling over the bed, no drinking glasses in bathroom, wires everywhere along the floor, and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. They only provide two pillows on the bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value at older hotel"
Hotel was a great value. Our room was large and comfortable. The carpet was in serious need of cleaning and the bathroom faucet would not stop dripping but those were minor issues when compared to the great rate. The check-in staff was great as was the housekeeping staff. We attended a convention at the Convention Center and it's an easy 10 minute walk […] so we saved over ten-dollars a day in parking by walking over. Again, a great value we will stay again. "An Old Vegas Gem That Still Has Some Charm"
Many years ago this was the first mega hotel in Las Vegas. Now it seems to be struggling to keep up with the new competition. The hotel is in a perfect location just off the strip and next to the convention center. For $5 bucks you can ride the monorail to the strip and party to your hearts content. About two years ago this property changed hands from […] being Hilton property to the LVH today. Most of the Hilton amenities are still present in the rooms. The Star Trek bar could be a gold mine if they would just turn it into a night club but it sits mostly empty and unstaffed. If the room rates are good, I would stay here again in a heart beat. Stayed 3 nights for a trade show and found the hotels location ideal to walk to the venue. The hotel is good sized, and has one of the larger, more active sports books on the strip. I know a lot of reviews ding this and that - but I found the service great, the room (North tower 27th floor comfortable and the view of the strip at night to be great - […] but I would have rather had a room on the east side overlooking the city and desert-scape. Tips: in room coffer maker uses the little pods, but Fortuna the coffer shop in the lobby does a grande of hot H2O for $.25 - green teas better for you anyway, the gym under the North tower is more than good sized for a business trip workout, the pool is fine - but not a lot of kiddie stuff, more for adults. All in all we reserved the Classic room ($36/nt), upgraded ($10/nt) and got the better pillow-top mattress', in room internet, and an in room safe - totally worth it. Will be back next year. "Needs improvement on guest room"
Unfortunately the guest room carpet was dirty with large black spots, changed room first time because the adjacent room door did not lock so since I did not purchase a suite that door was unable to lock. The staff was very helpful in that event.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was dirty and outdated. Thick layer of dust on the headboard and the carpet was stained and dirty pretty bad. Very limited TV channels. No easy way to control the AC thermostat. The food was pretty good. Will not stay here again. You can get a better hotel room cheaper.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"for the price okay"
we went there for just one night, if you dont have any aspirations and just need a cheap room for the night. its not the newest hotel, but okay for a stay. i dont know how the breakfast or something else is. its near the convention center, if you dont have a car you will need for sure a cab and its about 10min away from the stripGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"More than Expected"
Very surprised as to how much this hotel has improved. Several years ago it was in total disrepair but now it has come back! Looks like new mgmt. is trying to make this a destination spot once again. The food at Paradise café was very good but as expected, over priced. Since they want to charge you for your coffee in your room, they could at least provide […] a second outlet for convention goers to get coffee to go in the morning besides the one spot, Fortuna which was good but very, very busy @ 8:00am! Why isn't the Seattle's best coffee down by the Pizza Hut not open in the morning? Pool area was great: providing drinks, music atmosphere...a very good experience every day we were at the pool! Overall, we were very happy with our stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Thought the rooms were a bit too pricey & not sure if all hotels charge this but there was a resort fee which was annoying & a extra fee if you were using another laptop or tablet so that was a bit off putting. All in all it was just OKGenuine Hotels.com guest review
